Time Waits For No One (10)

There's this guy at my school, he's graduating this year. His last day at school is next Wednesday and the graduation ceremony is on the Thursday. I'm the year below and he caught my eye around April-June, but that was it, he just caught my eye. He wears a hat to school so he stands out a bit xD
Gradually throughout the year I started to notice him more and look out for him when walking to class etc. and then I even felt a bit down when I didn't see him. My good male friend who used to come to my school found out about what I thought of him and added him on Facebook. He accepted. Then he encouraged me endlessly to add him, I did, and he accepted. He commented on one of my statuses relating to the kind of video games I play and replied saying that he liked my choice of video games. We continued to talk on Facebook along with my good male friend for about 2 weeks and the guy in question eventually asked me for my msn. After this I was hassled constantly by my close male friend to meet him IRL in school (the guy knows I go there too). I just met him and his friends IRL mid last week where he sits during break and we got along well, he also shifted over on the wall he was sitting on so I could sit next to him the second break that day. After school that day we talked on msn a bit and he asked me whether I was going to where he sits the next day and I said that I was. I met him again and he was on his way to the canteen and so asked me to walk there with him, after this we sat back down and he was playing around with his iPhone and then lifted it up, and took a photo. I had no idea what he was doing and ended up going UHESIHRAUIEFHA-like. We have the same interests such as video games and computers. He' leaving next Wednesday though which is the problem. He's known me for a short time and I don't think anything can happen if I just leave things as it is. He has his major exams starting November and it lasts for around 3 weeks. So the best course of action that has been deduced by my friends and I is to confess shoujo manga style on his last day with a confession letter saying "I like you. Please go out with me."

I think todays youth uses "messaging" too much. You don't need letters, msn, facebook or any of that to tell someone you like him. I suggest you meet him tomorrow and tell him how you feel.

If he's smart, he's going to tell you he likes you as well and then everything will be fine. If he's an idiot, he'll act awkwardly, likely because he doesn't know what to do; maybe you should kiss him to encourage him, or just let him be, and nothing will happen between the two of you. Whatever happens, you shouldn't feel bad/sorry about it, because it's perfectly normal.

I enjoyed reading OP's post, it was pretty educational (what the heck is UHESIHRAUIEFHA?). Contrary to >>2 I find the use of technological paraphernalia in courtship quite cute, but at the end of the day it's just the same old process taking place, you display as many signals of common culture and interests between the concerned parties as to foster the feeling of bonding. Flowers, poems, CDs, computer games, etc are just variations in color, the process remains the same since the stone age.

I would like to reply to >>3's post (I'm sorry, this is my first time using this so I do not know how to link, etc.). I'm happy my post has been of some use to you and I hope it can be used for others facing the same problem (:
May I ask as to how it was educational though? I don't see why it is xD

I have successfully confessed today during break :D
The response was a positive one and he said that even if I didn't confess today he would've asked me out tomorrow or on his last day, so I am very pleased indeed (:

It was educational for me because I don't use Facebook nor msn, so it's interesting to see how these impact on socialization in general, and in flirting in particular.

Thank you very much (:
He's been very affectionate since I've confessed and puts his arms around me during break all the time x]
His last day at my school was today, not including the graduation ceremony tomorrow. I hope we can continue to progress and once again thanks for the encouragement and help. :D
