I'm single, 21 years old, I'm going to turn 22 this December. I don't have a job after August of 2009. I haven't gone to college, yet. I'm a quiet guy, I don't talk very much but I'm down for a nice interesting conversation. Otherwise, I keep things to myself. I like to play video games, I like to use the computer, I love playing the piano. I watch Japanese animation but I haven't done that for a quite sometime now. I like all kinds of music but only the music that I really like. I'll give you a short example list: Muse, Daft Punk, the Pillows, Maroon 5, OneRepublic, DMX, Eminem, Aerosmith, Bee Gees, The Beatles, Abba, etc. I can list them all but it will be long. I love watching films but films that have a deep storyline. Like: Dan In Real Life, Darjeeling Limited, The Pianist, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Constantine, Jurassic Park, One Missed Call (the original Japanese versions), Battle Royale, Speed, 40 Year Old Virgin, Marley and Me etc. I don't want to watch something less intelligent created. I do love comedy films but there are only some that I love to watch. I'm interested in different kinds of histories like the Roman Empire or Feudal Japan, I like learning psychology, all things paranormal, astrology, philosophy, some science here and there. I like reading books the one I liked so far was 1984. Well that's about me so far...
Whether you are interesting or not, doesn't have that much to do with the kinds of entertainment you consume because all the things you list are a form of entertainment barring playing the piano which is more of a creative pursuit.
Describes me pretty well, except the musical taste. I dunno, I have the impression that girls judge you by how you look. If you look good, they will associate you with more positive attributes.
i didn't read everything but the piano is a definite plus my friend.
i wish i could play music...it's a definite plus with the girls whether she's the musical type herself or not. plus the guitar is getting a little too cliche nowadays.
I think most girls are less interesting than you are, so I wouldn't worry.
You are not a boring guy. Your interests will attract many girls out there. Because we all have different interests, there will always be others girls out there that wouldn't be interested. But don't worry! Just like I said, you will find someone that will interest you and vice versa (when you do, get out of your bubble and talk to her!). Girls like it when guys talk to them first :)
> what's with girls looking at me with a disgust look on their faces that have me put a question mark above my head and thinking: What the fuck is her problem?
Are these all girls that could know each other? If they are, then you could have some kind of reputation, whether fair or deserved or not. If this is the case, it's best to start looking elsewhere.
It's the girls who have a problem. They are stuck up thinking they could look down on other people and make faces at them. You are not boring. But since you're a quiet guy, it would help to be a bit more sociable. Other than that, just keep practicing piano.
Fyi, Adam Sandler is slapstick comedy. I feel like I'm degrading myself a little when I watch him make a fool out of himself.
That said though, I'm a girl, and I don't think you're boring.
Your interests sound pretty nice, but I agree with the other person that said that that doesn't make you an interesting fellow.
I'm a girl, and if I knew someone with your interests, I'd definitely be interested, since I like most of the same things. (And I love guys who love music, especially if they play it)
Music is seriously like some cheat code in the 'game' of girl-getting. It's not God Mode, but it's damn well close to unlimited ammo/cash.
The only girl I know who wasn't impressed by musical ability in a guy was one who was burned badly by a guitar player in a previous relationship.
God mod is being antisocial discotec trash. By being it, you will only met with the antisocial trash girls. It's god mod, indeed.
Who the hell needs fake class?
On the contrary
If you can't play, but are trying to get better because you love the instrument, then it might be taken as a dedication to the things you love.
I'm confused by what kind of musicians you're referring to, but I assume classical music players?
The thing is, playing a musical intrument (let's assume violin, piano, guitar) has little to do with faking class. Sure, it might make them look a little more sophisticated to girls, but what really gets them is that it shows females your sensitive and artistic side. Not to mention, like >>14 said, it is the best way to show that you are hardworking/talented. Females love guys who are particularly skillful in something (presumably something with merit). Natural selection perhaps?
You sound like a hippie faggot.
There I said it. That's your problem.
For the most part girls don't care what you like or dislike provided you aren't grossly fat, unemployed, and wanted by the law.
grab life, by the throat
the Bear is boring, but happy that way. ~ Are you?
Brother dude... to answer your question, let's look at this from the other side.
ur quite interesting actually...
well, every girl would succumb at a guy who can play an instrument, just continue playing the piano...
maybe in time you'll meet someone who interests you and has interests in you two... just wait and be patient...
