I honestly have no idea where to put this, but I think this is more a relationship issue than a sex one, even if the issue is about sex.
Basically, I'm in my mid 20s, a virgin, and has never had a girlfriend. I live in Japan, and I finally found a girl nice enough to go out with me and keep in touch with me on nearly a daily basis. Before I met her we talked every day online. We then met two times as friends, and on our second time hanging out I asked her to go out with me. After that we went on one date, and during all that time we kept talking online daily. But now due to work she's unable to see me for a few weeks, but we've been still keeping in touch about every other day or so.
Even if you have been friends a while, what you're moving towards now is not friendship. Take it slow.

sex doesn't always go towards a relationship. some couples just kiss and hug for years..then have sex after 4-5 years maybe
