I've recently learned about Doujinshi (self-published manga), and I would be interested in reading some of them, but can't read japanese,...
So I would like to know where can I find doujinshi online, translated/written in a western language (english of course, but other european languages are fine too)? Also, I don't care if the doujinshi was made in japan or somewhere else.
Finally, legal download sources would be a plus, since I don't want to cope with piracy issues.
Because it's the only type of doujinshi which makes an impact.
to lots of porn, but i never seen yaoi not even 1.
www.smackjeeves.com has a lot of decent doujinshi. If you have homophobia, you'll have to dig through all the BL/GL to find a good normal manga =_=

You can find english doujin here http://www.doujinshi.rocks
I presume people don't like the site format, even if it's one of the oldest and largest manga/doujin archive.
On a related note, if you hate EH (or can't into panda), in addition to >>41 , the following are generally good substitutes as they scrape EH periodically:
If you're looking for specific stuff and correct tags, it's still better to use EH.
I like Japanese Manga.
So I`m Japanese.
What do you like Manga?
i dont care who says theyre hot or they arent id still put it in all their holes
This is my first write in here.
I cant speak English well.
Medaka Box is good
you know ?
I heard Japanese People like horse racing manga. Is that true?
I didn't even know horse-racing manga existed up until now
Hi guys, do anyone have link on Banner of the stars book 4 in English?
I'm poor and broke as you can get so piracy is generally my only default option. But if I find a manga that is of superb quality, then if I can, I buy it.
Provided of course that it ever even gets printed in the states/english.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who buys manga. I always feel bad when I read a meta manga where the protagonist is poor mangaka who cannot sell his work. ('A` )
The only manga I've bought has been the first volume of "it's not my fault I'm not popular", which I bought because I enjoyed it, and also everyone on 4chan was doing it. Oh, and the author has acknowledged their non-Japanese fans (which is something I want to encourage).
Apart from that, I've also ordered the first volume of "One Piece" translated in Swedish. I'm not terribly interested in "One Piece", but I've been trying to learn Swedish. So I thought it would be fun.
In what way did he aknowlege his western fans?
I BUY IT CUZ I LOV IT! heh heh:)
but when you guys buy your manga, do you usually check it out online or something?
I've bought some based on their covers, and i don't think it's a good idea if you are short of money laugh
but sometimes you find a rare treasure.
Of course, how else would I know it's good enough to buy?
Frankly, I'm tired of American publishing. I've made a resolve to learn and buy Japanese from now on; mostly for the quality which America copies pathetically lack. The latest series I've been buying had the color pages dropped out of nowhere which infuriated me. I put up with the inferior and frankly shit translations and no unique covers like the original but that was the last straw.
Yeah, sometimes you find a rare treasure but there are some things that I read online which are AMAZING and I just can't help but want to reward the author by buying their stuff.
Is it such a crime to want decently published manga with a semblance of quality so that I give the Author my cash?
I've bought ALL mangas that I loved, every single volume is bought. But now I just rely on english translations provided by different groups because I find myself reading more and more new mangas...and these new ones aren't available in the country I live in.
I surf Usenet, chans and forums about manga and if there's something I like I check the prices out and import via a proxy. A lot of old manga are 10Yen on amazon or something so it's ok. If I lived in Japan that'd be a lot easier but well. Or when I like a manga I check out the authors other works and then decide.
I like to Manga buy for the more cliche reason in that I enjoy holding something physical and it feels more personal than pixels on a screen.
I am surprised a thread was not made before, but anyway here you can talk about Yostuba&! and all its wonderfullness.
My favorite characters are Koiwai and Fuuka, and they double as a good couple even though that would make Koiwai a pedo. Yotsuba herself is adorable and can really make you happy and stuff.
Who be your favorite characters?
Fuuka is great, but my favourite 'character' is the scenery. It feels so real, like you could take a walk there. It is what makes Yotsuba& something more than just a simple comedy. The world lives and breaths around the characters and that creates this warm feeling to the series. I'm not good at explaining.
Miura is the greatest, by far.
I bought the first six volumes yesterday. I'm really enjoying the series so far!
My heart is filled with joy becasue through the help of Dr.Ozama i have been able to play football for the club of my choice. There are so many agents out there promising people that they will help you and they will always fail to help you, But in this case Dr.Ozama is not an agent but a spell caster that will cast a spell for you and within 21 days the club of your choice will be begging you to play for them. All just have to is contact Dr.Ozama through these details via email: email@example.com or via phone number on +2348056934252 and within 21 days your request will be granted
I love this manga. It's a great introduction to reading Japanese.
Yanda is good.
Yanda is my favorite male character in the series.
The tricks he plays on Yotsuba are always funny.
The art style is really nice. I like how there's all the really pretty and detailed backgrounds which contrast nicely with the more simple (not bland or boring, just simple) character designs. The language is simple and easy to understand for kids, and the format almost seems to be made to teach kids a new word every chapter. But, there's also humor and cuteness to keep adults entertained too. Azuma-sensei really is a genius.
I started Witch Craft Works, and it's great so far. Kagari is amazing, Timpop is cool, and I'm curious to see where the story is going to go in the next volume. I like the humor too, of course. What are you reading, and how is it?
A friend of mine told me I should totalz read OP.
Apart from that I thought about reading OPM and Mysterious Girlfriend X again
lately im not reading anything at all though OTL
It's fun, go for it. How was Mysterious Girlfriend X?
>How was Mysterious Girlfriend X?
Was? Well, I haven't read all of it but it's really well drawn and the story is interesting. The drawing style and the concept of the story makes me feel comfortable, it's been so long I can't remember what I liked most about it but you should definetely read it if you haven't yet it's a classic.
Personnaly, I love this webcomic/manga ... however, there's been much uproar in the Korean community about this (which seriously, I don't know why they're all up in arms). I mean, all the countries receive a bashing, that's the object of it all.
Anyway, beacuse of this incident, APH has been banned from TV so the only way to see the anime is on the net, which means realy bad quality ;A;
What do you think? Are they taking it to an extreme?
(PS: Which is your favorite Country/Chara ?)
Where's Niida when you niid him?
Hetalia is the worst fucking manga/anime of this millennium. You think Naru-tards are bad? Fucking Hetalia-whores are the worst goddamn fangirls of any series ever.
Especially the ones that think it's historically fucking accurate.
Also, you want to know why Korea dislikes Hetalia? In WWII, Koreans were to the Japanese as Jews were to Nazi Germany. The Koreans hate the Japanese because they were treated and killed like dogs by the Imperialist Japanese.
You wanna watch historically actuate anime about WWII? Watch Graveyard of the Fireflies and Barefoot Gen.
Lol butthurt Korean
Also, Hetalia is not supposed to be historically accurate. It has elements of history, but it's ultimately a light, silly, moe series.
its gives these idiots the impression that it is historically accurate
that in itself is offensive.
I simply dont like hetelia fangirls
they ruin everything
Hetalia is lovably ridiculous. If your sense of humor is compatible with it, it's really easy to get into. (As an American it's hilarious because I can't even argue with the stereotype of my country)
But seriously...I haven't met anyone so far that really takes the actual history in the show seriously, and pardon my language, but anyone who does is a dumbass. I'm convinced that any mention of an actual history is merely there so the viewer isn't completely lost about what they're looking at...and the extremist fangirls are the horrid ones usually. We can be level-headed, but THEY make us look bad.
If it makes anyone feel any better, I think Korea is one of the cutest characters in the series~
Korea can never become an animated cartoon character. It is not reflected on comics either.
The author does not make a fool of Korea.
The author does not make a fool of World War II.
Please correct a morbid heart to bite Japan even if the Korean chews even anything, and to suffer from.
I like Mr. Japan.
In fact, I did not like my country until I read the poorness rear.
I thought that it was a boring open country born a grudge against.
However, Mr. Japan loves the four seasons and it is modest and senses air. He is not showy.
I rediscovered one's country in the poorness rear and came to love our country Japan.
Mr. Portugal likes the Mr. United States recently, too. Portugal is cool. I resemble Spain.
I wish I had a place to read but I always feel very self-conscious doing anything in public
I'm a little fortunate because I live at the edge of the city so the counrtyside isn't very far away but it would take me a little go get there even by bike and I'm just too lazy to do it orz
Is that near your house? .____.
Damn, so peaceful
(>>1) I like reading next to this river near my house.
A secluded library area. I don't dare to read books outside because of sudden bursts of rain. But then again I tend do all my reading digitally...
When are they going to get off the boat?
Let's a read Tower of God together!
