iTunes.
I left Winamp, and poorly tagged and organised music, and never looked back. I don't own an iPod, yet. Santa might bring me one, I hope.
i have an ipod Mini 2gen for two years and still working, only need a new battery but i plug and unplug the jack and the sensor everyday and are working and are easy to fix if it fails...
U guys heard something about the "Aypo" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOLqyKvPGkw
its a chinese ipod like mp3 player, in other countries sold like the ipod brand and the most of the people thinks that are the real ipod...
iPod Nano, first generation. It's great, save the battery life. It's horrible.
Other than that, great sound quality, good interface, and of course, it's small. I have having shit in my pockets, so I love having it be so slim.
iPod nano 3G 8gb
I have this Samsung 2GB player (YP-U2J) and it's alright.
I mostly use my Dell Inspiron 6000, it's pretty sweet. 60 gigs.
Thread derailed. I think OP was talking about media software. Winamp here, I left iTunes partially for Winamp's highly rearrangeable interface but mostly because I couldn't stand the thought of using an Apple product any longer.
XMMS
Winamp for singles songs or from my limewire folder, and iTunes for albums and podcasts.
But I mostly listen to music on my iriver H340.
samsung yepp-55, 256mb for 3 years
yea... it extincted
2gig Sony Walkman
20 Gig Sony Walkman, or Winamp
Btw sonicstage sucks, i'd like to have itunes instead (just for the podcast support)
sony ericsson w800i white, 256mb, i cant get bored with it honestly, i just change the music once a week. can we use DS homebrew software to listen mp3 ?
yep.
Used to use a Creative Zen V
winamp
cowon i audio 7 4gb(beats the crap out of my old ipod video)
iTunes, and the free 4GB mini that game with my Macbook. It plays the best music, it's green too!
itunes and ipod i think like 5th generation
An ipod shuffle 1st gen.
As for players, I still use wmp, just because the vista skin is ace. But I know it's lacking.
>>159 here. Wow, I can't believe I posted this so far back.
Anyway, I have a 3G 8gb iPod nano now, and my shuffle doesn't work anymore (or at least I can't get it to work).
Sony Ericsson W300i, sounds better than the ipod nano 2nd gen that I used to have...
iPod Touch 8GB, I love iTunes it's so smooth. Running it on Windows though. It keeps my music perfectly organized how I want.
Quod Libet on the computer, and Rockbox on the (currently dead) 4th gen iPod.
Quod Libet is the world's best music player, with nearly perfect tagging and searching capabilities.
I came back to Winamp after 5.51 was released. I'm too vanilla for you, 4-ch.
I'm madly in love with my easily-scratched Sansa. It's an e280 and holds 8 gigs~.
I found a 4-gig ipod on the ground... Nobody claimed it even though I put up some stuff on a message board, so hey, it's mine now. As for sofware, will people hate if I say mplayer and xine?
No way. At least, I won't. What's wrong with mplayer and xine? I see no reason to hate, or even dislike.
I use mplayer for .wma and .m4a files that my usual player doesn't support. (Though more often I try to just avoid those formats.)
Portable, Insignia: 1GB and is LOVE.
On the comp, Rhapsody or Gateway's music player.
I used to use a camera/MP3 player combo until I lost the charger for the battery
Samsung YP-K3 4GB; my first proper empee. Sleekest, sexiest thing ever.
A crappy chinese mp3 player.
My first MP3 player was this generic small little 500MB MP3 Player from Israel, my step-monster ordered for me off online back in 2005, when we were still on good terms. lol. It was so annoying, and would always come apart lol. It had these crappy little earbuds that came with it that died out in about a week. (As everyone else's did too.) It was supposed to be a graduation present. (I had graduated from 9th grade I think...and my step-brothers from elementary lol.) I remember loading it up with L'Arc~en~Ciel music, and other stuff too.
My second was a Phillips Go-Gear 8GIG, which I still have. I obtained it from a WAL*MART back in 06' as a part of a christmas present from my grandpa. I don't really care for the touch controls though because it is sometimes overly sensitive, and screws up what I am trying to do on the menus alot.
Last year for my birthday I got a 2GIG silver iPod Nano from my mom. To tell you the truth, I really love it. I mean, my 8GIG Go-Gear actually wasn't working at the time, an ex-friend through it into the sink full of water in my kitchen at the time, secretly and spitefully lol. But really, to be serious, I use it 100% of the time, even though I have an 8GB Mp3 player like my Go-Gear, and my 2GB iPod really is enough for me to carry around. I mean, it's 2GB of music. That's plenty. Yea, I have about 18GB on my computer I've ripped from my huge CD collection, but every once in a while I through about 5-10 medium sized playlists on there and that's great for me. ^_^ So I'm happy with my little silver 2GB iPod nano. I named it Toushiro after Toushiro Hitsugaya.

Zune. It's not bad. but its kind of slow. the actual player, on the other hand, is amazing.
4GB Toshiba gigabeat t400
Provides the best sound ever but is skimpy on storage
iphone 8gig. more than enough. don't need my whole 20 gig library in my pocket. i onlu listen to roughly 100 songs at any given time depending on mood...
ipod dugh
5 gig Rio Carbon
It's going on 3 years and I only just recently filled it completely. May need an upgrade for more space soon...oh, and it has also withstood several drops on the floor with little scratching.
Zune. 80gb.
A 4th generation iPod.
Don't know my generations, but it's a old cheapo iPod 60gb bought used off Amazon.co.uk. Think it was £150 odd quid? Not bad considering it's 60gb.
Also have two Creative MP3s players. Both were prone to malfunctioning and faults - buttons coming loose, not working or doing the wrong thing when you press them, and the headphone sockets have come ajar inside the machine (my first Creative still works if you hold the headphone plug in a certain way, but with the second one I either get sound in one headphone only or none at all).
Seconded. Besides, Zunes are more customizable.
mpd and a 5g ipod with rockbox. I use foobar under wine for tagging though.
itouch.
same as the guy above me. Off topic: it's an awesome media player, shame the Safari browser doesn't support flash though.
On PC I have Winamp with a FLAC plugin as I keep mainly lossless stuff on disc. I think Foobar is the best player but it doesn't like my OS at the moment, so I'll have to wait till I upgrade my PC
I don't listen to music whilst travelling much, but when I do I just convert a bunch of FLAC stuff into 320k mp3s and stick them onto my PSP so I can game and listen at the same time (custom firmware FTW).
Samsung p2
80-gig iPod classic.
Only half-full. What the hell am I supposed to do to fill all of this space...
I use a Creative ZEN. The media player that came with it was shit; it felt years outdated and clumsy. I used to use the Creative Mediasource Player that came with my Creative Zen Micro, I loved that thing to death; but I moved computers and have lost the disc it was on T_T So now I use Winamp, which is similar but...cruder?
