I've been listening to this genre of electronica called Microhouse lately. It's techno but without anything too fancy. Mostly simple, appealing sounds repeated over with a variable background. It's a refreshing change from some of the over the top stuff these days. Microhouse proves that simple can be effective.
Artists include 'The Field' and 'Isolée.'
Cool, yet another stupid name to describe an electronic music template, we hadn't enough of those.
It's not techno, don't confuse electronic music with the word techno.

And by "joke", I mean "reality".
I think Luomo is one of them, and their/his/her/whatever album Vocal City was a pretty good listen. Of those artists you mentioned, only Isolee rings a bell. Check it out though I shall!
