Not necessarily what's the "best" of other countries - just what can be seen all over billboards and on the radio.
Like, Russia has Taty/t.A.T.u. right now. Germany has Rammstein. Japan has... okay, Japan has a lot going on.
Just for curiousity's sake, what's the big names in other places?

i donno about ur contries musics, but i betcha you guy never hear the songs they play here.
if it not some oltimers, it gotta be some freekin wannabees singing all sort of WTF kind of song. The only alternative is the govm. radio station (real tradisional music including a abroginal station here)

where are you from?
and this thread is about what the fad in other country.
so, what's the country these groups are popular?
Take That are pretty big here in Britain right now. I used to think their new album sucked ass, but my mum won't stop playing it and now I think it's awesome.
Is it true that people in America don't know Take That? What a thought.
That Kenji guy's from Japan. Those artists are J-pop.
Maybe too much of it isn't.
Rock and indie is pretty big in Australia.
"Indie" (though most of it on major labels) is bigger than ever here in Britain as well. We've got Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs etc.
Last I heard of Silverchair was 5 years ago with the video for that "Greatest View" song that got a lot of playtime on Kerrang! TV (rock video channel). Good song, but last I heard from them.
