Since its great music with non-sensical and sometimes amusing lyrics.
speedy speed boy, baby its burning, oh speedy speed body, baby ohhhh ohhh nightttttttttttttttttttttttt
or however it goes, gotta love bill rogers, or, watever his name was, hah, havent watched much initial D lately
I really really like Fahrenheit Euronight from Super Eurobeat 163. I also believe I was the only one on the planet who liked Don't Make Me Cry on SEB 159. (´ー｀)
Eurobeat is best enjoyed while you watch a car being driven sideways.
Eurobeat is best enjoyed while driving a car sideways.
"I don't remember officer, I heard 'Love Is In Danger,' then everything went black."
I don't know shit about Eurobeat (Though if the music in Initial D is Eurobeat, then I like it), but I can't stop myself from asking: Super Eurobeat 163? As in, there were 162 other volumes before that?
Really looks like it, by the reference to a number 159.
Yeah Eurobeat is a unique Genre. THe reason why is that it's muscians and prductions is usualy in Europe. BUt nearly all of the attention to the Genre is in Japan. This is why most of the songs are usually are in English. The Japanease version of Intial D does bring intense songs of the Genre. Night of FIre, Space Boy, Speedy Speed Boy, and of course No one sleep in Tokyo have become commons songs to those of the American Eurobeat areas. I managed to grab several songs from the SEB (Super EuroBeat) songs of Intial D, and the entire Euromach cd's into my Ipod (I won't give the details. It should be easy to buy it if your got enough Geek in your blood.) Of course the Genre does sound like Hi NRG and other Euro genres like Italian Disco.
Does anyone know the best place to buy Super Eurobeat online? Amazon's pricing is too high and Play-Asia seems to be a little better but still expensive at around 30 bucks each.
Also, I am running in the 90s.
unfourtantly, I don know. Those are the only few import stores avaliavle online where you can buy them. Importing is alaways expensive.
to buy, maybe check out cdjapan.co.uk ...i think they're prices are reasonable, though maybe with shipping they could not be.
umm if you go to TPB and search, you shall find torrents for volumes 1-160 or so, totalling about 15gb.
cdjapan.co.uk?? wtf am i on... that should be http://cdjapan.co.jp
A proper Eurobeat song must have at least the following words in its lyrics, wherever preferred and repeated as often as possible:
SUPERSONIC BABY I NEED YOUR POWER TONIGHT
STREETS OF TOKYO DANCING WITH BURNING FIRE
SUPERSONIC BABY IN MY HEART TONIGHT
Eurobeat is the beginnings to a Disco revival
No, DANCE☆MAN is the beginnings of a Disc revival! Eurobeat is nowhere near funky enough to tie into disco, I think.
MY LOVE IS BURNING DESIRE
HOT HOT LIKE THE FIRE
RUNNING BY YOUR CAR
DANCING ALL ALONE WITH YOU
What's the difference between para para and eurobeat?
Isn't Parapara a dance / kind of dance that you can dance to Eurobeat?
Parapara is a dance where you only use your hands, and it is a different hand movement for each of the songs.
I hate eurobeat with english vocals... I only like the synths and stuff. Eurobeat with japanese vocals is ok, but if I knew what they were saying I'd probably hate it too :D
Once it's in Japanese, it doesn't count as "Eurobeat".
HAVA NAGILA SUPER POWER TONIGHT
DANCING THE HORA IN THE FIRE JAPAN
can someone recomend me 5 or 10 good eurobeat albums?
Zutsuu Masta - Princess Raper @ www.mikseri.net/zutsuu
...if you want eurobeat ;)
Most of the The Initial D soundtracks are really good. I´ve downloaded them all and I currently listen a lot to "Arcade stage vol 3" and "Battle stage" on my Zen, but I guess all of them have lots of catchy hits. Eurobeat isn´t so much about albums. It´s all about songs.
>>7 Actually, they're now up to 164 volumes. There's one volume a month except for November. Divide 164 by 11 and you get the number of years that SEB's been around.
And Dance*Man kicks ass. But it's disco, not eurobeat.
I'm just posting to say that I am still giggling at >>26 two weeks later.
DAISUKEEE what a lovely song!!
I'm high school girl in Japan.
I also like Parapara and can dance a little.

Does anyone remember the theme to Accapluco Heat?
Eurobeat needs more love. vol.169 will have a DVD with parapara on it. Too bad the DVDs don't have mirrored angles like the parapara allstar dvds, I'm too lazy to learn it properly.
did anyone catch the torrent of all 160 Super eurobeat Albums?
it was at the Piratebay
eurobeat is lame
everything sounds exactly the same!
oh ho ho i get it
since "rap" is part of the word "crap"
implying that rap is, wait for it, wait for it, crap
So ParaPara does too!! I really love it... and by the way... Japanese Super Eurobeat is called J-Euro
I haven't listened to newer eurobeat in quite a bit.
I like the older stuff.
EuroBeat = mockup genre that mimics and combines awful clichés from BOTH 80's and early 90's eurodisco and somehow turns them ♪♪♪F A B U L O U S ☆ !
I am a student living in Japan.
Please forgive a sudden note.
