Lanzer and his team used to be competent, but they're too busy making business deals and promoting the site to take care of the userbase. I won't leave the site unless my favorite parts are ruined, but my patience is wearing thin with Lanzer and his staff.

Though, the blame doesn't lie entirely with the staff. Mainstreaming of the anime subculture is also causing those annoying kids to crowd around particular anime and shout at the top of their lungs how their favorite anime trumps all others. If I were a mod, I'd ban people if all they did was scream and shout at each other. Hence why I've never been a mod. I just refuse to deal with people's stupidity.

And the hell with the MMO crap. Gaia was never like that to me. To me, it was the biggest English-speaking forum I'd ever been to that had a wide-variety of different topics to discuss. It was basically the old chatrooms I used to hang out in, stuffed away in its own lovely little corner of the internets.
