Microsoft is not a monopoly. There ae a dozen other OSs out there. It is just that most are too lazy to utilize them, and most software developers are not going to waste their time on developing programs for rarely ( relatively speaking) used OS. It is the same reason there are few viruses out there that effect Mac crap. Why design a virus that effect what is less than 7 percent of the computers sold? Bell telaphone was a "monopoly" and then the .gov cam in and "broke it up" what good did that do us. Nothing but foking it all up, thats what.

I doubt most people care what comes bundled with their computer as long as it works. I'm not certain whether that makes it "willing" or not.

And Microsoft still bullies computer manafacturers into supporting alternative OSes poorly, if at all, if they want to get advantageous deals on OEM Windows. That's the heart of their monopolistic behavior.
