I was a FORMER Gaiafag. I liked it for a bit, then I realized everyone was more concerned more about their e-penis and vagoo than actually talking about things. And the RPing is extremely lame and clothes buying is about as evil and explotive as shit; and the monthly payments... What the hell, isn't that Real Money Trading? Yetch. And the lot, about 40% of people who discussed Anime, Real Life Drama and Video Games were total douches and for about another 20% were more concerned about what the hell their internet character's going to wear. And how did I become a former? Easy. Banned. For posting up the truth about how everyone was being total dicks and e-persona faggots.
If GaiaFagLand is going to be an MMORPG, there's one thing I can see; it's going to be fucking failing below what we're seeing now.

Actually, I use Gaia quite a bit. It is free etc, costs no money, so where those notions came from I have no idea.
The forum range is pretty huge, ranging from fashion to games to food to computer tech to just random spam ...actually, that sounds like somewhere else doesn't it?

I started on Gaia in early 2004...It was fun then. There was /b/ influence on the forums but not in gross amounts, there were little 'cliques' but the people in them were interesting and worth the common users' attention, the site was just entertaining and good for boredom. The RPing was still lame, though.
Anyway, in 2006 I pretty much quit going there. It's just a big shitstorm now, I hate it, and I feel like an oldfag whenever I say so :(

Gaia is horrible. due to the Longcat Raid, I made a gaia account for psyops (lurking with the intent to gather information/influence the userbase without trolling) and it was some painful shit. looking through the threads made me fill with rage towards every part of gaia. The 14 year old users, the avatars, the text bubbles, the stupid unnecessary pretty text, artfags, and the cheesy stupid announcements.
lurking gaia actually hurt. This is why I hate gaia.

I don't hate Gaia. I was a gaiafag for a long, long time. It's a place I've once been, that I spent some time on, and at that time, honestly enjoyed. The Gaia now is not the Gaia I once used. It's just another website, one of billions on the internet. Eh.
