I'm talking about stuff like ads suggesting that I may have already won X amount of money. Obviously, that's bullshit, and most likely, most of this stuff is bullshit, but there do seem to be some things that seem a little more plausible, like for example, some of those sites that supposedly pay you for uploading photos/videos, and they pay you based on ad revenue.

If you're serious about making money online, simply create a website, add some ads, and make sure people visit the site.

It's not really that hard, just takes some time to build and maintain a site...

Anyone have any experience with surveys?

I recently signed up for one (I checked it out on the BBB's website beforehand FYI), and I was wondering how long it's going to take for them to email me surveys. Also, I know they send you surveys based on what they believe is most relevent to you, so will the fact that I'm unemployed, have no high school diploma, etc. affect how many surveys I'll get?

I don't know about surveys. It's really hard to tell whether a site is a scam or scheme or whatever.

Some people claim they make money from blogging. They put up ads like Google AdSense and Amazon etc. and update the blog a couple of times a week. I've read a couple of blogs where they say that they make about $1,000 a month or more. The only problem with this is that you might have a better chance of people going to the site and clicking on ads if you have a niche; you have to know a lot about a specific thing or subject. Or people might go if you have interesting stories and stuff about your life. I'm not really an exert on anything. I don't know... this is getting long.

I tried the online survey thing before. It turned out to be not worth the time since I was never paid. It did give me something to do when I couldn't sleep, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

You could try some file sharing services (ie Depositfiles). Go find some fresh warez, upload it, spread links to it, get your coins. You could even build your own warez portal.

Most online jobs probably can't be found by looking online.

Most of the ways to make money you find online are pyramid scheme based, in one way or another. If you want to take advantage of them you just need to know when and how to strike.

Thanks, that was actually the site I forgot the name of.

But looking on the site, I wonder if I'm actually skilled enough at searching to be paid to do this.
