Seems like some guy on 4chan's /g/ made an old school BBS, as in, telnet board. It's focused on /g/ and it shows, but it's still a nice romp down the memory lane.
Telnet to gopher.su at port 1234, sysop is usually present in chatroom 18.
Well I finally tried this telnet BBS today but it's not working. "telnet gopher.su 1234" shows the login banner and asks for a name, but it doesn't let me hit Enter (and actually trying to type digits also doesn't work).

But OpenBSD (and NetBSD) are about as close to POSIX as you can get!
Granted, not many people use it on their PC, but it's not "weird" as far as a Unix environment is concerned.
At this point, anything that isn't GNU/Linux or FreeBSD is "weird".
