Update: "At least 8" killed during the situation, suspect is confirmed to be in police custody by Santa Fe Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, and one other person of interest has been detained. Both suspects and most of the dead are believed to be students.
Update #2: CNN says 10 killed, several injured. Explosives, including pipe bombs and pressure cookers, have been found in and around the school. As a result, authorities urge those that live in the area to "not touch any items that look out of place, and call 911" if you see anything suspicious.
Update #3: Authorities say the suspect, Dimitrios Pagourtzis, was injured during the event.
Before the shooting, Pagourtzis had previously posted (on April 30, 2018) photos on Facebook of a t-shirt reading "BORN TO KILL" and a jacket with Nazi, fascist, communist, and religious symbols on it. The post with the jacket photos contained the text "Hammer and Sickle = Rebellion, Rising Sun = Kamikaze Tactics, Iron Cross = Bravery, Baphomet = Evil, Cthulu = Power."
