Americans do often stereotype people from countries such as Japan, since most Americans are close minded and do not take the time to really learn about a countries culture.

However, there are decent people in America.

I know some good people there, who do not love Japan for the wrong reasons like the whole "OH MY GOD ANIME" reason.

In fact, I know some people who really read about the history and love the country for many other reasons.

So in saying this, what i'm trying to get at, is that not all Americans who love Japan are losers.
