And on another note, we aided in your reconstruction until 1952. I consider the aid we rendered to you to be an "apology".

Just remember who's reading your messages. We can see your cynical victim mentality, and it disgusts us. Did we go to war at one point? Yes. Did the United States end the war on its terms? Yes. What were those terms? We marched our armies, sailed our navy, and flew our air-force right to Japan, and suggested that you surrender. Your government, and your population, declared that Japan would never surrender, and I believe that if we invaded, we would have had to destroy Japan, literally. That would have been a disaster and a tragedy. But, even as millions of bombs were dropped on your cities, even as children burned with their mothers in hellish infernos, even as the scent of burning flesh could be smelled in Okinawa, your leaders were determined to destroy Japan, by declaring that Japan would never surrender, not for 10,000 years, could we shake Japan from its suicidal path. The Atom Bomb was your deliverance from the nightmare, it ended the war before the entire Japanese Empire committed mass suicide. YOU HAVE MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.
