friends slowly disappearing (13)

Do you hate it when you have been with friends for years. Everyone is single and have fun, then slowly one by one each disappear leaving you isolated and alone. Then, finally, you being the only single one left.. you stand there alone. :/ I hate it. It makes me feel like I don't want any more friends, it makes me feel like I don't want to trust anyone, and everytime I think about it.. it hurts.

Yes, get new friends. It's an undeniable fact that friends come and go, just deal with it.

When your pick-up line is "Damn you so fine I'll get a nose bleed. Oh I did!... Don't tell my mom I said... damn, OK?"

Friends come and go. Even true friends move on. Sometimes it's your fault, sometimes it isn't.

Think of it like love - even knowing it's possibly temporary, go into these things enjoying everything you can while it's there.

I have the same feeling too, but sorry not to the extent that it hurts.
My suggestion is don't think about it too much. One way to do it is to be like an extrovert once in a while. (On a side note, if you want to find out how much of an extrovert you are, and know other qualities about yourself, try the Myers-Briggs personality test. I believe there is on at humanmetrics.com or you can just search for one.) Smile and say Hi to folks you pass by. You don't have to start small talk, just an acknowledgement is fine.
But if you are an extrovert, then I guess this shouldn't be that difficult. :) Well hope all goes well for you.

>>10 Agreed and that is a really good way of seeing it, enjoying it while it is there.

It is best not to get too attached to anything since nothing lasts forever. Diamonds maybe, but not people.
