Do any of you know of any good knockout drugs that take effect almost immediately? With no freaky side effects? Or alternatives tog et to sleep?

Sometimes I would find my self not sleeping for days and/or sleeping during the day and awake during the night. Normally I'd go see my doctor but they reccomended some shit drug that doesn't work and has nasty side effects like wieght gain.

My personal solution is to kill all light sources in sight and make the room totally dark. But I sleep best in the car, on a bus or on the train - something to do with the vibrations and noise. Diphenhydramine/Benadryl. No real side effects but of course sleeping, and if you have any respiratory stuff it'll knock that out too :p

You do NOT want a knockout drug. All these drugs (sedative-hypnotics) are dangerous and addictive in the worst way.

Physical withdrawal, rebound insomnia, dangerous interactions.. Don't even go there.

When I can't sleep I knock down a shotglass of vodka near the point of exhaustion and head to bed right away. Thats about as much as one should do.

What works pretty well is to do a sustained and exhausting physical effort no later than six hours before going to sleep. You'll fall sound asleep!

Exercise and steady breathing can help, along with masturbation, but if you're not sleeping for days-on end, might be some more serious chemical imbalance.

I reccomend phenergan. It's an anti-histamine. It won't "knock you out", but you will feel sleepy within 20 mins and it's virtually impossible to keep your eyes open.

Phenergan (promethazine) works well, but only for a few weeks. If there's one night every few weeks when you have to sleep but can't, Phenergan is your friend.

I'ev a totally legitimate reason. I don't drink alchohol by the way not only am I not allowed to, I just simply refuse to drink it.

I think that would require a prescription, am I right? If so that's out of the question since my parents don't allow me to take any drugs with sedative effects unless it's absolute required.

If this becomes a serious problem (not sleeping), do you guys think it's about time I took kncokout drugs regaurdless of the possibility of addiction?
