Wake up early, start your day with an exercise. Balance your diet, and don't stay up too late. As for motivation, isn't the disgusting gut enough motivation yet?

>>2 nah its not enough. i cant be fucked to do anything about it. unfortunately i am able to justify it by telling myself, im young and im meant to enjoy myself.

Does liposuction work for this sort of area? I've often considered looking into it myself. That or stomach stapling, but that would mean I have to eat less and I enjoy the eating part.

Look to the future. If you don't get rid of it now, you're just going to be a giant fat ass who will never get hot chicks.

Get off your ass and run around the block a few times, and stop eating greasy foods. It's not hard.

That's a shit excuse.
Be happy with your gut or work to change it.

OP, How often do you eat? If you eat small meals more regularly you can boost your metabolism. Aim to eat something every 3 hours, but not just before you go to bed. Also, what is your weights routine?

12 Name: Anonymous : 2008-01-12 12:36 ID:+Nt+PFjl

>>11 i usually eat 3 meals a day.

weights routine:

UPPER BODY
pushups
situps
crunches
shoulder press
curls
concentrated curls
tricep extensions
dips
and some back ones which i cant remember the name of

i also do lower body stuff but not as frequently (squats, some weird calf excersise etc)

each thing i do 12 reps by 3 sets of.

OK, well it's a start I suppose. Like I said, try to split those 3 meals into 6 or so smaller ones spread more often. That speeds up your metabolism. Drink plenty of water, some fresh juice, avoid sodas.

As for your routine, it looks... "ok", but by no means "good". How often do you do this routine? every day? How many weights do you have? From the looks of it I'm guessing you only have some light dumbells? To be honest, that won't make any difference and 3x12 with those weights will do even less. You need to try to go a lot heavier with the weights, but only every other day so that you get a day of rest in between workouts.

If you can't afford a proper set of weights and a bench and all that, then you can save a hell of a lot of money by using sandbags. Basically, you put sand in those zip-lock sandwich bags, duct-tape it up and double bag it again. Then you put these baggies inside a bigger bag, like a simple cheap duffell bag (from a military-surplus store or some department stores) or one of those sports bags. You can get a 200lb weight set like this for less than $30.

With your weights set, do this routine: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=998224

I shall quickly copy-pasta the routine so you have no excuse to not know what it is if you cant be bothered clicking a link

Workout A
3x5 Squat
3x5 Bench Press
1x5 Deadlift

Workout B
3x5 Squat
3x5 Standing military press
3x5 Pendlay Rows

You train on 3 nonconsecutive days per week.

So week 1 might look like:
Monday - Workout A
Wednesday - Workout B
Friday - Workout A

Week 2:
Monday - Workout B
Wednesday - Workout A
Friday - Workout B

so yeah, there's a great routine. Now, I'm guessing you're going to come back and say "Oh but I don't want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger!! I just want to be toned!!" then you need to shut up. You aren't going to become Arnie overnight, shit even if you trained for 5 years theres all very likely possibility that you just don't have the genetics to look like him. If you do this routine and eat right then you can put on a bit of muscle over time which will speed up your metabolism, and you'll lower your bodyfat.

There's more information about routine if you follow the link

plus you can go to the /fit/ community on 7chan, read their FAQ. They have a different routine in their FAQ, but it's just as good for you. Read the FAQ before posting a quesiton. There's a Tom Venuto book in the FAQ all about losing bodyfat that you may be interested in, but at this stage I personally would say get a good workout routine and then implement what's in the book.

If you need any information on how to do a particular exercise, go here and find it. It's a bit confusing, but basically to find an exercise you have to find it through what muscles it primarily focuses on. Just browse around.

Right, I've given you all the resources I can. It's up to you now. Best of luck, you can make a difference if you really want to change.
