Is it possible to work in Japan, without good command of japanese, without having any japanese origin or whatever, but with a degree from a good college and knowing other languages? Oh, and I don't mean about visas or this kind of stuff... I mean...would I find a job?

I hear they're crazy about hiring people with bachelor's degrees to teach english. That is, they have programs that provide housing and jobs and such for people who want to teach english. I forget the name of the popular program (JET program or something?) but my friend had a bachelor's degree in Spanish and got a job teaching there for 2 years.

I don't know that much about the program, you'll have to do more research yourself, but that's supposedly the most popular choice

Nah, JET's cool. It's just the fly-by-night ones like NOVA (well, they weren't really fly-by-night, but sorta shady) that close down and screw you over.

In fact, if you're going to do it, definitely go with JET.

Japanese people are kind of biased when it comes to hiring foreigners, I think, except when it comes to having them teach English in junior high and high schools. Their teachers are so bad that they scramble at the chance for a realy, English speaking foreigner to come in and fix things.
