i think it's bullshit, Changing the way you think might change your moods, i would say give it a go

If you wanna know how it works:

= example: "Oh she dumped me, i must suck"..CBT:" We broke up, our relationship wasn't working out, i was for the best".

some bullshit like that. I did some free sessions, but it really costs much to continue..i dunno if i should.

Sounds like lying to yourself.

CBT helped me get over my fear of crowds.
Of course, any tampering with your thoughts is important to be careful with; it's important to be honest with yourself too, and not do anything retarded.

Doesn't CBT usually stand for cock and ball torture?

Yeah, it helped >>8 get over his fear of crowds.

On a serious note, I don't think cognitive-behavioral therapy works from an external source. In my personal experience, I had to experience something that would change my viewpoint on a particular issue. Nothing has ever worked out in my favor when I told myself I'd make it through all right.

It worked for me, but I had to have something trigger that train of thought. That and some willpower changed dramatically my self-perception.

That said, the will alone to do it just didn't work.
