Would you recommend the city you live in? (8)

I moved my thread...sorry for putting it in the wrong place.

Would you recommend the city you live in? Say on a 1 to 10 scale (10 being the best).

I live in Akron, Ohio and it is ok I guess, but it stays cold 8 months out of the year (below 50 F) and snows like hell. Up near Lake Erie (Cleveland) is worse with up to 5 feet of snow on bad days and 1 foot or so on good days.

City income taxes are also a bitch, not that I pay them (hehe). There are ways around it. There are jobs here, but all of the manufacturing jobs are leaving.

So I would give Akron/Cleveland a possible 4 out of 10 of descent places to live.

I live in Germany, eastern Germany. It's kinda nice here (no fees for studying at a university, wohoo), but when I'm done studying, I'm planning to move back in the west of Germany, because you get better salaries there.
I would recommend it, why not. Especially if you want to have huge appartments for very little money.
But better be white, lots of nazi-folk around.

i live in las vegas, nevada, usa. it is only entertaining if you have a lot of money to spend, and even then, all you'll get is crap.
the roads are underdeveloped and constantly under construction, our state has a massive debt (although we're def not the only ones) so every public facility is making budget cuts (they even reduced the size of the paper towels that they give you in the restrooms at the community college, lol), and our public schools are some of the worst in the nation. it's very hot in the summer months although the winters are not bad. i can't really say that this place does anything /well/, but it's u.s. bad, and not a ghetto or anything either.
5/10, but tough to say since i've never lived anywhere else.

Bangkok: YES i do recommend.

Shopping: THE BEST! very cheap, good quality. you can find brands (or even fakes categorized into fake grade a fake grade b so on..)...and i think the best in asia. went to singapore and the shopping was too expen. for ghetto clothes. vietnam sucks, b/c of the messed up money system. korea probably has good shopping and good style but probably a lot more expensive. japan probably also has some stylish things but they are WAY expensive. bangkok is the best bet for cheap, quality things. the big malls are all centered in one area. like, one mall right next to the other. it's a shopper's paradise. :)

Food: GREAT! there's thai food, of course, and that's good...after a while, you'll get used to the spicy things and you'll start to crave them. street food's everywhere, and they aren't dangerous to eat...everyone eats them, and they taste good (and are VERY VERY VERY cheap). :D

Society: people are generally very nice. they're polite, cuz the culture there's like that. generally not a very loud or obnoxious people. most people are willing to help a foreigner. :D

Transportation: This is not so good. Lots of cars, so traffic. However, they've got the sky train system and the underground subway system so you can go on that, too.
