Depression (8)

I am not sure that I can accurately describe what I am feeling at the moment, but it is most definitely negative. Sometimes a great wave of despair sweeps over me, or a dreadful, terrifying sadness, that I am all alone, and I dream of flying (through Tokyo at that, at night). I'm not sure what it all means.
In any case, I am depressed and if I don't get into a University, I think I will have lost all meaning in my life.
I am very intelligent (I say this in all humility, I don't mean to boast at all, but it is necessary that you know in order to provide a background) but I had a dreadful experience of the educational system, and didn't go through the 'proper' pathways, and so I don't see how I can enter University. I am thinking about sending letters to the deans of two reputable Universities, perhaps.
In any case, I feel dreadful. Please help me somehow.

When you're sad, don't be sad, be awesome instead.

Why don't you ask for advice about your education? If you are in school, maybe they can provide you with that help, otherwise ask for information at a university social services. There are people whose job is to help you out, so make use of them.

When you get sad, stop being sad and be awesome instead. (<- This quote seriously got me through some horrible stages of depression. >>3 can't quote it right. )

I can understand. When I was in high school I had social anxiety and I did very poorly in school. In math the teacher was horrible, would not lecture and required everyone to work in groups. I could not do well in his class no matter how many hours I would study. This has ruined the subject of math forever for me.

Perhaps instead of worrying about getting into University why don't you talk to advisors and see what you have to do to get into University. Take action, get the wheels moving! If anything what you can do is go into community college and transfer in after two years. I did that and I'm graduating with a bachlors in June.
