Suicide or...? (this hopefully isnt against the rules) (14)

Hey, long story short, I'm never hungry, all food tastes bad, i have no friends = depressed, i have bad anxiety and wake up with cold sweat all the time. I hate sleeping because its so unpleasant to wake up in a bath of sweat, freezing cold. My parents don't care. They take me to half-wit psychiatrists that prescribe me low end SSRI anxiolytics that do nothing and refuse to cooperate with me. They tell me all the time that there is "food in the house" but can't seem to comprehend that I just don't feel hungry, and I can't help it. I'm not anorexic. All they do is make excuses and sigh heavily saying dramatically "i just don't know what to do! i don't know what to do!" and i'm trying to tell them exactly what to do. Send me to a motherfucking psychologist/psychiatrist/doctor. They won't cooperate with me. Everything I say to them is interpreted rudely. My mom knocked on my door and I said "what do you need" and she said "don't talk to me in that tone!" I don't know what to do. I have a very, very low affect and the only emotion i can think of to describe how i feel is just despair. Complete and utter despair. Im only 15 and I'm just simply not getting the help I need. My parents see me as a a problem, not that I HAVE a problem. They are narcissistic, intolerant and just don't understand.

I started smoking Marijuana at the beginning of my freshmen year in high school, which I am halfway through, and ever since I went from a 0% kid in school, to getting 100% in all my classes, with praises from my teachers. And I was fine. No more complaining, I could eat, I was making friends, no anxiety, slept well, good grades. But Marijuana has no realistic place in my future. My parents would never agree to getting me medical marijuana.

So I ask, what would you recommend, suicide, running away and ending up dying or...?

It sounds quite impossible that Marihuana alone would solve all those diverse problems of yours. Therefore let's assume for a moment that it acted as a placebo only. Then, what it gave you is feeling like a big boy. Therefore what you need is not Marihuana or a psychiatrist but the ability to let out the inner man in you. Parents, school, and so on treat 15 year olds as children, but most are no longer. Your mind has matured enough that you want to be treated like an adult. Am I right? If yes, running away and starting an independent life sounds like the best from those options.

Might I add I was smoking the Marijuana alone, it wasn't very recreational.

Holy shit >>2 that is the worst evaluation ever. You're on the right track identifying that weed has a placebo affect, but otherwise lol no. Good call there convincing this kid he'd be better off dead.

Marijuana doesn't make you high all the fucking time unless you find some way to smoke enough so that you are high every waking moment. If you are high every waking moment and feel that you are depressed and sullen about everything when you aren't high, you are addicted. Weed isn't a drug that physically causes or promotes addiction -- I know -- but you are addicted to the euphoria that it provides you, to the point that you believe you can't function without it. No hospital would prescribe marijuana for an addict. You need professional help. Seek it out through school if your parents won't listen.

....if you aren't high every single minute of every day, ignore all that up there! You're still dependent on that high to make life bearable -- this is unhealthy but understandable. This is what leads in to addiction, but not addiction outright. You still need help, but I think you're capable of providing it for yourself.

You say you have no friends, so that's certainly something to be depressed about. That also suggests that you don't have a lot of extracurriculars or activities or things to do. You can probably surf the internet, you can probably watch TV, you can probably play video games, but that isn't enough.

You are depressed because you are bored. Marijuana is an escape from boredom for you. Right now, your biggest activity in life sounds like getting high. You look forward to getting high. You enjoy doing so, maybe less now than before, but you still probably do. Maybe not even because of the affect anymore, but because of the escape it provides you. Well, guess what! Any activity will provide you with the same escape from boredom. Anything you do that preoccupies you will provide you, eventually, with the same feeling.

So, to cure yourself, find something you enjoy or didn't even know you enjoyed and go pursue it! Find something that makes you feel good. Join a school club, go running, watch anime (this is 4ch come on :P ), read, write, read about politics, draw, do something. You're right in saying that marijuana has no realistic place in your future, but a hobby does. Find something that gives you the satisfaction of knowing you've done something neat or productive. It can be something lots of people do, or it can be something no one does -- it just needs to be something.

effect* misspelled twice. fuck.

>>4 again. I forgot to mention WikiHow: http://www.wikihow.com/Main-Page

It has lots of neat articles and should be able to give you a pretty generous idea of what you could get involved in. I like it and it has given me a lot of good ideas in the past. :)

listen you are only 15 and the way you are saying this is making it sound like you just want us to verify you and be all like " dude totally your parents suck and marijuana can be used for good its so awesome it helped you and all that other stuff" but that wouldn't help you

>>4 is completely right do something get active it will help figure out what you want

you can't always expect other people to come and fix your problems and its not like by going to a psychiatrist they are going to be like here is the problem here you are fixed now. no. you have to try and help yourself and if you can't then try your conselors at school they can get you a real phychaitrist sometimes

but then again I have no idea why I'm saying anything about this just ignore it

Weed isnt a bad thing, but it can be used in bad situations. If you plan to smoke for the rest of your life, then be careful, it could ruin you in the long run.

Spoiler alert: Weed IS an antidepressant.

Actually, my brother-in-law used to smoke high quantities, daily. When he got with my sister, she convinced him to stop, which hopefully he did. And then he was depressed. He went to a psy, who told him that he was suffering all along - the symptoms were just masked because he was already taking something for it.

So yeah, marijuana can be a temporary buffer for your problems. It helps you to live, so it is good. Who would dare say the contrary? But you have to keep in mind that the problem just won't go away, you still have to work on it. Even if it isn't as burdening as before.

Oh. And keep in mind that weed is expensive, and could possibly lead to legal problems.

Weed contains carinogens, more (x50) than are in cigarettes, prepare for lung cancer and toe cancner and what the fuck else cancer bitch.
Also, it fries your brain, literally.
Say goodbye to short term memory.

Don't kill yourself man, just grow up, grin and bear it for the time being, move out on your own and see the damn doctor. You have three years till then, just make sure to keep your shit straight till then, get good grades, emancipate, get a job, and bomb your free. That alone might fix things, kids at your age start seeking independence and a lack of it could be the cause of some of this. There are also better things to do than use Weed, although it may sound strange, adjusting your diet can do a lot of things. Adjust for higher carb and protein foods, you can also start on vitamin B supplements, vitamin B jump starts your digestive track and makes you absorb and burn energy faster (hence why it's found in huge amounts in energy drinks). Do not convince yourself there are other ways out. Fuck, call social services and request the help you need, you can get moved into a foster home (which despite shows, are not all shit, my family is a foster family, although I'm the actual son, and we are far from shitty to kids, we buy them TV's, let them get jobs, prepare them for the real world basically) and get therapy/doctors paid for by the state.

"Do not convince yourself there are other ways out."
My bad, meant to say "do not convince yourself there aren't other ways out."
