What do I do everyday as a hikikomori? (45)

1 Name: flash : 2009-02-01 20:45 ID:R+CtSWEW

I wake up everyday listen to music, philosophy on individualism atheism and existencialism. Meditate in the shower for bout an hour or more. this is done everyday that I wake up at 12 pm. study couple hours if I wanted to, watch hours of anime, Im also an otaku but I take it is far as just watching it not collecting anything relevant to it. try and skate for a bit. As I grow older I spent less time with friends to take care of my own hobbies and deals.

2 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-01 22:12 ID:w4bDE9/T

liking anime doesn't make you an "otaku". stop looking for silly words to cling to and call your identity and be yourself instead.

3 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-02 00:14 ID:Heaven

Also hikkikomori don't skate. And philosophers need to discuss.

4 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-02 00:38 ID:2pn459Am

I just sit on my chair and listening to music while downloading files and trolling last.fm.

5 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-02 01:46 ID:Heaven

LOOKIN' PRETTY TROLL THERE

6 Name: flash : 2009-02-02 02:47 ID:R+CtSWEW

nigga why are you bombing on me. if you did your homework an otaku is someone who has high level of interest or knowledge in a certain subject example I have interest in japanese culture so that means I study the language and have seen and know over 100 titles. I dont collect anime merchandise because I know its gonna make my situation worse so instead I spend my time thinking about how to fix the solution of being scared of people. I only skate from 11 pm to 3 am in the morning when no ones around.

7 Name: flash : 2009-02-02 02:59 ID:R+CtSWEW

I always check the phone to see if someone has called cuz I dont feel like bothering them. I go to sleep around 6 am. I do watch anime for bout 6 hours a day never go out. If you like to discuss ideas and concepts ill be glad to. 1stly I think religion is an articial pain killer to the reality of death. thus a simulation to prolong life the superficial society was created. I am an individualist who believes life is purposeless if you dont do what you truly desire

8 Name: flash : 2009-02-02 03:09 ID:R+CtSWEW

because your bound why should I suffer for something I dont want to do when I go nowhere when I die. sides the bible states to not worship other gods so what do you call the virgin? but you know what I believe people need religion to move on. Ive got nothing against it cuz I dont want to be selfish. I lost all value in things because in the end theyre just meaningless but why let this life go to waste? might as well just do what you want you know.

9 Name: flash : 2009-02-02 03:20 ID:R+CtSWEW

another thing Im not trying to insult you because I dont gain anything. I believe in zen ideas as well thats why I meditate. dont underestimate someone when you do not know their backgrounds. Diversify your knowledge on things dont be conservative or stereotype certain issues. I dont look for words to call myself I studied these words and deem if they were appropriate to my situation. Ive been a shut in for over 2 years the only thing that made it better was my philosophy.

10 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-02 14:17 ID:Heaven

Dude, you should really stop multiposting, it's annoying as fuck.

11 Name: flash : 2009-02-02 19:42 ID:R+CtSWEW

I didnt realize you were a hiki. as you can see I really dont speak with anyone and I have an infeority complex

12 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-03 01:43 ID:Heaven

OP is trying WAY too hard.

13 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-03 03:29 ID:2pn459Am

I used to be hikikomori, from when I was 12 to 17.
Now I'm just NEET, but that will change soon because my mother is putting me into this "high school at home" program, I'm 18 now btw.

14 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 10:26 ID:R+CtSWEW

maybe your right I have misanthropic, nihilistic, individualist, aetheist, existencialist ideas. I just figured I just dislike how humans feel self important and how they go on bout insulting others when they are inferior to animals. too self destructive when the point is there is no invicible man here to tell you "your" going to hell. hell is other people who judge u when they lie cheat and steal to live in their own comfort.

15 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 10:44 ID:R+CtSWEW

the religion is the simulation to hide behind the "god" while they stick the finger out and grin. I have lost all my sympathy for humans. Im saying being born is a ticket to the freakshow.the absurd world. your instinct is appauling to those who dont know your oppression. the point is I dont know and you believe yours is the worst kind. let me giggle. its your instinct which tells me you dont know that we all suffer and look to live on. please let me hear your meaningless insults.

16 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 11:03 ID:R+CtSWEW

like I said think outside the box question everything and everyone. Its kinda difficult to convince a bible freak that god doesnt exist dont ya think? I say do what the fuck you want society is meaningless. I get insulted for my views when the people doing it do exactly what I say. I was trying to be friendly but the freaks always show up with their inconsistency. maybe I sound like an asshole but Id rather not believe in some fairytale. Im being bombed at for something I clearly understand

17 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 11:19 ID:R+CtSWEW

but if you say Im not, Im not right? "your" trying to discredit me and Im arguing over something you dont know. you see how pointless this is? I am trying hard or more like having fun at proving my theories correct. philosophers need to discuss right? Im playing this game to see how people really are to see if its not like thought. I think your gamblings pretty weak you dont show enough support to prove my guilt except with petty undermined insults that are stuck by the influency of society.

18 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 11:25 ID:R+CtSWEW

think for yourself and instead of insulting think of what Im saying Ive got nothing to lose. Remember its just a "word", "hikikomori".superficial, hyperreality, simulacra, simulation, et c. deal the cards.

19 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-03 14:27 ID:Heaven

Yeah, OP, you're still trying to hard. AND STOP MULTIPOSTING DAMMIT. And no, I'm not whay you want to call a "hikki" so bad.

Now, you feel attacked and reply by a volley of self-righteous arguments. Okay, why not. You probably know stuff that I don't, and you probably are right about it. That couldn't be possible for me. Also, you pretend having an inferiority complex, well I say careful walking the line between inferiority and superiority complexes. Sometimes it kinda blurs.

I'll skip the part where I tell you I've kinda thought about all what you're exposing already (although formulated more clearly, with better grammar and punctuation, but ad hominem attacks are cheap).

You say thinking outside the box is important, and are quite worried about bible freaks and such. I'll tell you one thing - Nihilism, in particular, rejects the very concept of belief. Which often leads to a certain form of atheism called agnosticism. The only thing you'll ever know is that you can't really know anything.

And, you know, I remember they are just words. I'm just not trying very hard to use some of them when they are not needed, and am wary of labels and such which often are a good way to NOT think outside the box. Although it is comforting to see that other people have convergent ideas with yours, trying hard to find words to define yourself might be a hint that you're just, basically, trying to define yourself through them instead of their concept.

20 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 17:48 ID:R+CtSWEW

take a guess, I dont have a reason for living and the whole bible freaks thing is an analogy to the one who studies philosophy. agnostics have no beliefs in higher beings. we are the gods who kill people make love to them and give birth to them you dig. now you know what I am, yes I stand for those ideas but it would be drag if I dont use those words. I multipost cuz typing is limited. studying this has made me lose value in everything. a sort of distorted reality.

21 Name: flash : 2009-02-03 18:15 ID:R+CtSWEW

the word is just the best way to describe my situation. but your prob right maybe all it is, is the social phobia and not hikikomoriness. If I conquer this I will be able to walk the streets again to rejoice my past activities. nihilism does invoke the idea of what you mentioned. I use the words because your level of intellect is capable of understanding them.

22 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-04 03:44 ID:Heaven

I just meant careful when using words to reflect personal thought, because there often are more than one way to interpret them (even nihilism has a rather broad definition considering the ideas it carries). Agnosticism for example isn't just "having no belief in higher beings", but rather the principle that one must doubt everything. Yes, everything, which can lead to tricky mental exercises. You, on the other hand, are very assertive...

By the way, I was wondering, how old are you? And don't tell me that it doesn't matter - somehow it does.

And typing is limited but not that much. Most of what you type can be in one or two posts max. Only split your posts if need be. And please, use capitalization and correct syntax, I'm trying my best to discuss but your flow is very hard to follow without making efforts, which isn't something I'm very fond of.

23 Name: flash : 2009-02-04 07:14 ID:R+CtSWEW

Heh Heh. Dude, Im 19. Dont worry I keep myself on check, I wont go mad. The squabbling was fun, your'e a formidable opponent. I was really on edge, well back to what I was saying. I guess I overestimate people too much so I compensate with superiority. I apologize I am assertive because I've seen hatred. Call it defense. I speak metaphorically at times. Yes I like to question everything, since I was a child. One more thing you'll probably laugh but I'm on my psp that explains the whole typing mess.

24 Name: flash : 2009-02-04 07:38 ID:R+CtSWEW

Other than that, I enjoy studying philosophy, it's fun to realize the ideas of logic. I watch and study anime like Ghost in the Shell, Evangelion, and Black Lagoon. I'm an anime critic aswell so I spend time digging through loads of titles. Another thing, the age really doesnt matter, I get defensive on anyone. The misanthropy has a lot to do with it, people picked on the so called "bad" part of me so I expose their hypocracy you know. I'll try to be clear. By the way, what made you a hiki?

25 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-04 14:41 ID:Heaven

I'm definitely not what you would call a "hiki". I'm more than a little nerdy, and have been very very shy in the past, but I worked on that and now it's quite okay - most people don't notice I'm making huge efforts to talk to them. Even if I like being in my "lair", I never could accept the idea of shutting in. After having been put in a rough spot, a friend whom I was talking to even made me promise this to him. I did, because I knew I already decided on that, and it would only reinforce my will. And even if I was kind of a recluse or whatever, I wouldn't want to call myself a "hiki". I don't like labels, they have the bad habit to make people and things stagnate. I only posted in this thread because I felt like debating, which makes me realize that we've been waaaay off-topic, but whatever.

I think age matters, because I've been thinking, debating, discussing since I can talk. And even if I have always been kind of a philosopher, curious by nature, life experience made my ideas change and adjust, even if only lightly. Trust me, I'm only 23 but I've seen many things since I was 19, and just that made a lot of changes in me, even if at the core I'm still the same. Most people will tell you the same - I know as teenagers we often think we know everything, but we don't, even the smartest amongst us.

26 Name: flash : 2009-02-04 19:04 ID:R+CtSWEW

I was also very shy. I experienced hell at 16. I live in hollywood. I was on heavy drugs. You know you're right, these past years 2 1/2 yrs. I have learned the most in my entire life. I too was hella stubborn, I put myself through tough situations, and day after day I quit drugs. I started to do them because I thought I would look cool, heh heh. Well it's always convenient to talk, I do take advice from my grandmother as she is the only one who has experienced so much. I try to be zen to keep calm.

27 Name: flash : 2009-02-04 20:24 ID:R+CtSWEW

I'll tell you why age doesn't matter, from what I've seen you could be a kid forever, but you have to be able to survive on your own. Put it this way, a grown up kid. I don't respect the age difference because it all looks the same to me, what made it clear was, don't be a burden on others. I got that wisdom from experience. I may be smart but I still am not wise enough. Take care of yourself because friends don't matter only about 2 or 3. Like I said, do what you want and don't take shit from no one.

28 Name: flash : 2009-02-04 21:05 ID:R+CtSWEW

What helped out was a favorite title of mine, FLCL. If you get its meaning you'll know why age is meaningless. Another thing people are born twice over, existence and raison d'etre. Sorry, I'm being a bit assertive. Hope we go into round 2, haha, kidding. 1 of my friends made me open up. I became less serious and more goofy, that made it better. Yeah I feel you on the self titles, but for the ease of comprehension.

31 Name: flash : 2009-02-05 06:50 ID:R+CtSWEW

shut up. get a job. I don't care for this theocratic nation where assholes like you dont give a shit about me but still talk like your walking the red carpet. now for fun I'll keep going to study how instinct consumes you to keep talking, Mr. Heaven. Now am I fucking around or WHAT?

32 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-05 07:12 ID:Heaven

Sorry flash, but you're really annoying.

33 Name: flash : 2009-02-05 07:33 ID:R+CtSWEW

you see why now? I have no social skills.

34 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-05 17:02 ID:Heaven

>>28
Yes, some adults may be kids, and some kids may be really mature.
But the older ones have more life experience, and have seen more things. You can't beat them on that, however smart you are. Maturity != experience.

35 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-05 17:03 ID:Heaven

Oh, and FYI, "Heaven" is just an ID attributed to people with sage in the link field.

36 Name: flash : 2009-02-05 19:07 ID:R+CtSWEW

As you can see Im trying to get rid of this annoying attribute and just mind my own things. Though as much as I follow my beliefs, I aint trying to beat a maturity lvl. cause I dont care about that. I just get really defensive. Remember, you began the shit talking cause you felt you had to prove something you dig.

37 Name: flash : 2009-02-05 19:45 ID:R+CtSWEW

Oh I forgot, if your speaking on maturity lvl. what is a 23yr. old doing chasing a 19yr. since your age matters? Man... talk about wiping the floor...

38 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-05 20:28 ID:Heaven

Please stop bumping your shitty thread.

FYI I'm not the one who did the shit talking, but the one that tried to discuss with you. If you're not familiar with the concept of anonymous boards, let me give you a hint - more than one people might bear the name "Anonymous". I'm not chasing after anything, I'm just talking. If you wanna heat up and go all defensive, your problem dude.

You've been the one being assertive, and I was just pointing that out. I don't feel like proving anything to anyone; I just like to exchange with people. Well, looks like there's nothing more to say here - sad, for someone who claims to love philosophy (though I notice now that you're talking about beliefs).

That said I saged this thread all along because I didn't think it was that interesting for the board, for what it was and for what it was becoming, but it looks like you won't stop bumping it. So, I'll rejoin >>38's position and stop posting here altogether.

Good luck for your "personal thoughts".

Parting thought:

>>34 is wrong if she sees age as superiority, because experience is only as powerful as the mind dissecting it.

Flash, I wonder how you get by financially, but, assuming you're really an existentialist I don't have to tell you to find another purpose. Kudos ;)

Meditation on atheism is wasteful of time, whatever your beleif.

AIA, not really a personal issue, you're just bragging sir.

43 Name: flash : 2009-02-10 10:40 ID:R+CtSWEW

>>42 lol, yes I am bragging. I feel I need to seek enlightenment to live in peace, but not on atheism only, but on how to live out my life in an individualistic way. More or less to cure my misanthropic views, I have to learn to cope with it and be more compassionate towards humans. Lastly, it would be a waste to discard human life, though in the end I will return to nothingness, I still see beauty in life. Call me a foolish romantic with will to travel the world with ambiguous dogma.

44 Name: Anonymous : 2009-02-13 07:06 ID:Heaven

And borderline conceited.

45 Name: Flash : 2009-02-13 20:30 ID:R+CtSWEW

round 3 for fun? I was having a bad day, and I started the thread to fight. So, end... right? Your call...
