Credit Fraud help? (9)

A few days ago, I got home and I saw a unusual package for me. It was a book that I never ordered from some company that I have no clue about. I got suspicious, so I checked my account summary of my bank account. I saw that I got charged for it. I also saw another transaction that I have no clue about. It was from some place called msinutraceuticals. Never even heard of them until I saw the transaction.

I know I never gave out my CC number or anything to anybody. I'm not a idiot like that. I bet someone probably hacked some website and got my account number.

So I call my bank up and they tell me to contact the places. At first, I was kinda lazy, so I emailed both places. The book place was understanding and they refunded my money and told me to keep the book.

msinutraceuticals reponds was to give them my order number, item and last 4 digits of my CC. I never ordered from them, so i have no order number or item. I just emailed them the last 4 digits of my CC and told them I never ordered from them, so there is no order number.

Days later, never another email from msinutraceuticals. So I called them up, they only have a answering machine. Maybe they refunded it into my account, so I went to to check my bank account online and instead of refunding it, I saw that they charged me again for something else!

I was pissed. Called me bank and told them. They said they will investigate it and all that stuff. They're also closing my CC and sending me a new one with a new number.

Anyone got any experience like mine with credit fraud? Does the bank actually do much to get your money back?

op here, that company called msinutraceuticals had the nerves charge me AGAIN for more this time. I called my bank to dispute it. Since the company won't respond to my emails and they only have a answering machine when you call them. This is total bullshit.

I check my mailbox today and I found a package from them. Never open the package, but I sure am gonna head to my local post office on monday to return this piece of shit. I am angry. Fucking bastards probably found my credit info somewhere. This company is a total fraud. Never ordered anything from them and they're just charging me for shit I never ordered.

I really hope my bank gets my money back. I am so pissed and angry right now.

I myself have not been through card fraud (and I hope it stays that way), but I do have a friend who went through a similar situation. Account info somehow stolen, unauthorized charges, etc.

The bank he goes to practically worked with him every step of the way. Hell, he even got a call from some detective! Got all of the money back.

So yeah, talk to your bank to get this through.
First thing you should do is freeze your account for the time being, so no transactions will happen while you're dealing with your situation.

Also, get a new card. The info's already been exposed, and who knows where it went. Sticking with your current one after this just puts you more at risk.

Thx for the info. I did most of what you said, I already have a new card coming with a different number. The bank said they will investigate it. Now I'm just waiting for word back from them about my money.

I'm also waiting for tmr for the post office to open so I can send back this unopened package of shitty pills that I never ordered. It was in my mailbox yesterday night. Funny thing is they send this package first class usps a few days AFTER I disputed the charges with my bank.

I actually googled the company earlier and saw a bunch of links to BBB. I guess I'm not the only person with problems from this fraud company.
