I need some help deciding whether or not 30 days of jail time is worth going to Moses Lake, Washington for Toorcon. I'm on probation for possession of marijuana and have already bucked the system pretty hard. I skipped two weeks of reporting in just to goto H.O.P.E., and then another week to goto Shmoocon. I was told if I missed anymore appointments my probation would be revoked. I'm wondering if my cause is noble or if this is just fucking stupid. I can actually see someone asking me where I was for Toorcon in the future. I could say "oh, I was sitting in my room afraid of going to jail" OR "I said FUCK the police, caught a grey hound to WA and spent some time in a under ground missile silo with some of the coolest people I've ever known". Talk some sense into me PLEASE!

Respect your probation terms. Otherwise you are just providing amunition that will be used agains you.

If you want to outsmart the system, then do it in an intelligent way, don't just let yourself be stupidly crushed.

Respect your probation terms, and find ways to maintain your activism that do not interfere with them

I would've called you an idiot before I googled toorcon, but now I advise you to go so the folks at toorcon, no doubt much smarter than I, can call you an idiot in such a way that you think you're being complemented.
