One feature that I would really love to see on 4-ch is a thread or reply watcher. I have no real right to request this as I couldn't do any programming on it, but at least I can describe what I think would be good!

Basically, the feature would operate like those old PHPBBs.
- When you make a thread, there is a box that you can check to be notified of replies. Then every page you visit on 4-ch will have a little box or something on top or somewhere that notifies you when there is a new reply, and how many new replies there have been.
- When you reply to a thread, you get the same checkbox option.
- Perhaps there could be an option to be notified only when your post number is used, so for example you're only notified when someone posts something with >>34 in their post. (If 34 was your post number.)

Just some ideas. This could become a FF extension like on 4chan too, but I think it would be nicer if it was built into the boards somehow.

I'd rather not have it built into the boards, but I'd have no real problem in assisting 3rd parties in making a browser extension or something that does it.

It'd be nice if it were built into the boards seeing as not all browsers have some sort of extension feature. I use Opera and it doesn't have the extention feature Firefox has.

I think most users just use the RSS feeds and be done with it. Since there is no database, there is no user accounts, making a system that does it would take a lot of effort for little gain. I stand by my previous statement.
