I never had a PS2 growing up, so I missed out on a huge amount Japanese games from multiple genres. The PS2 was kind of a goldmine like that.
Now however, since the DS is being phased out and the 3DS brought in, it has a pretty complete library of these kinds of games, and the games are cheaper now. But I've pretty much only used my DS for Pokemon.
So recommend me a few! I'll take a look at pretty much anything as long as it's released in English. So unfortunately no Love Plus for me.

Does anyone else play AirMech? If you haven't yet, they are giving out alpha keys all the damn time and it's a pretty fun game. Maybe some of us can play together some time. It has a stand alone client and can also be played within the Chrome browser.

I hate Song as a company and only have a 360. But if I were not so poor I'd buy myself a pstriple to get Hyperdimensional Neptunia MK2. And maybe MAG while I'm at it.

Syobon Action (Mario Clone) [PC] [VIDEO] (21)

In the tradition of Super Maryo World, now there's another platform game based on 2ch AA characters. This one's called Syobon Action, and you may have seen it on Youtube.

Syobon Action is a sadistic platform game set in levels that look, at first glance, like levels from Super Mario Bros. But nothing is what it seems here. Benign objects become deadly. Deadly objects become deadlier. Even the power-ups have turned into traps. You're not going to be able to coast through any part of this game.

The source is also available from that Geocities page, and for your convenience, I've extracted the one think every Youtuber wants: the taunts that appear when you die. Here they are in the original Japanese, if anyone wants to translate them for the rest of us, or at least mouse over them with Rikaichan like me.
