Gentlemen, we build das Übermensch (71)

Alright guys, let's do this. What does it take to build the greatest possible human being?

2 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2008-05-23 03:17 ID:eJXpB+cV

Also, I don't mean Nietzsche's view of a super human being (not sure if it is scientific at all, not much of a philosophy guy myself), but rather just a mother-fucking excellent specimen of a human being.

Show me the meaning of the Übermensch and I will show you the meaning of the Earth!

Jokes aside, we're creating a super-human here, both a genius polymath and possessing Spartan strength and resolve.

To create this person, we'll have to start in the womb, when the child is first conceived. What role does race play in creating a genius? An athlete? What about gender? I know eating fish has something to do with increasing intelligence, but what else can increase the abilities of the child?

After the child is born, what steps must be taken during it's infancy? A healthy family is a must, but do those Baby Mozart programs or other baby geniuses programs work (probably not)? Or perhaps, are certain toys more prone to developing key things in the child's mind? Is a child who hears both Chinese and English in some way able to understand things better as he gets older?

As the child gains language, how much should he learn as a child? What should he learn as a child? Music, language, science? What experiences are best experienced as a child in order not to disturb the mental state of the developing genius? Death perhaps? A situation where it feels it has something to prove in life (like Freud)?

What about their formal education? Should the child be an autodidact and be guided by its interests, or should it receive
a normal education with other students? If its an autodidact, would it be wise to solve the criticism of home schooled children by enrolling him in a martial-arts class? Which one would be the best?

For that matter, how should it develop physically? What should it have been eating all these years to develop a powerful build and genius brain? How much is too much for a youth to handle? When it comes to the age of romance, do you allow it to pursue the romance it desires or do you have it pursue a more victorian-styled romance?

Where do we go from there? Where do we let it progress on its own?

So many questions, and I'd like answers. Perhaps the kid needs to be a Chinese Jew- nothing is sacred!

Here's the thing, while that can be applied, some people could apply it better than others due to genetics or how they were raised.

What set of goals/ethics does the Ubermensch subscribe to? Or does he make his own and raise a new civilisation founded on them in true Nietzschean style?

Those pretty much outline the upbringing of a child from birth. Genetics are negligible if you're Greek Roman, obviously.

Create an individual who is driven, who doesn't suffer from the affliction of laziness.

An average person can be an amazing person if they don't waste their time. It's just that the natural state of the human animal is laziness.

To create THE ÜBERMENSCH, you start by fixing all the crap that is wrong with the human body. We can get sick, we're fucking fragile, and we just die after living for a while - seriously, we're freaking windows vista.

We should also replace a digit on the left hand with the penis. Thrusting the groin gets so tiring. And you wouldn't even need to take your pants off! Am I masturbating or just trying to keep my hands warm in this cold November weather? Who knows!

As a plus, this will cause left handedness to be phased out by 3030, as no one will want to shake hands with a lefty, thereby preventing them from passing a job interview without much awkwardness.

I have a multitude of pens; my tenuously sorted collection is perhaps infinitely uncountable. From the selection of pen types I use daily, their average writing color stays within a fine dark black 99.8% of their usage session, the average line-width they achieve is 0.4mm, and the average word count I gain from one pen is 50,000. They are very fine pens, indeed.

The Überwomensch has no need of big boobs because the Übermensch is tired of putting up with her shit, and has long since moved on to asexuality.

>>62

There's a reason almost all multicellular organisms reproduce sexually. The exchanging of genes makes a population more diverse. This means that when its hit by some horrible epidemic, there's a chance it wont be completely wiped out because many members of the species would have acquired some form of immunity through genetic drift.

Unless, of course, the Übermensch is completely immune to all disease, if that's even possible...

64 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2009-04-04 20:46 ID:wznxUcFi

>>63

The Übermensch is immune to all disease, except for Super Aids.

65 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2009-04-20 01:32 ID:53OqZ+fT

If the Übermensch were bioengineered from scratch he/she would necessarily be immune to viruses, at least for a few generations. A normal immune system would confer no greater protection to bacteria and fungi than humans already have, though he/she may perhaps be engineered to produce toxins and antibiotics in his/her blood, though again this would not last. A more long-term solution might be to engineer entirely novel bionanotech immune cells/molecules which natural pathogens have never encountered.

66 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2010-12-24 05:45 ID:ycdj+mMk

>>63

The Übermensch should reproduce sexually as well as asexually. In the beginning, there won't be a large number of them so asexual reproduction would be better. But when the numbers increase, they'll begin sexual reproduction.

This way Übermensch can produce when there is a shortage of Übermensch and when there is a surplus of Übermensch.

67 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2010-12-24 16:07 ID:3ABTyiLG

The Übermensch is a fucking god, okay.

68 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2011-01-01 09:41 ID:d5swaA8D

On cellular level, humans undergo quite a lot steps of asexual reproduction (cell divisions) between individual sexual reproduction steps.
Evolution does not make things perfect, it just makes things adapted to their environment. That's why I don't believe evolution is going to make humans smarter or stronger - there is no real evolution pressure for that, actually the opposite is true with our society giving "equal chances" to everyone.
The next step in evolution is in fact the whole civilisation. The motto is - there is no human in the world that can make a cellphone. Meaning - from scratch, using just their knowledge and starting with no tools. There is no single person with enough knowledge to do that all, it's cooperation of many different people that makes it possible. And that's how a living organism works, pretty much as well as none of your body cells is capable of throwing a stone.

69 Name: Anonymous Scientist : 2011-01-03 04:57 ID:O+oil2NS

> That's why I don't believe evolution is going to make humans smarter or stronger - there is no real evolution pressure for that, actually the opposite is true with our society giving "equal chances" to everyone.

I'd agree... but I think the reasons are more along the lines that smart people know how to use birth control.
