Us and sports (9)

I think for many of us sports is composed of video football as we grew up. The longest sporting event I ever watched was when a girl took me on a date to watch hockey. I sat patiently waiting for it to end until she told me the game was basically over already (it was sometime just after half time) and I guess she saw that I was bored, so we left. I don't even know what the score was at that point, or if there even was a score, though I think I recall something about a point being scored by someone.

I get the feeling by the amount of threads here that 4ch-ers are REALLY in to sports . . . is it like this for a lot of you? Are we all such social outcasts our world cup thread composes of a whole 9 posts? I don't really want to know anything about it either, I just don't care about watching sports and I wonder why.

I watch sports, I play sports, I love sports. I live within 20 minutes of 3 universities that are major sports schools; if you were born here you are a fan of one of those schools. Basically all over America, are a must if you want to be called a man. If you don't like sports, some people look down upon you. I know nerds/geeks who barely see the light of day because they are up all night online and sleep all day and they can tell you some sports stats. I find your story quite ironic, because a girl took you to a hockey game. Usually its the other way around.

I like baseball, bowling and soccer/football.

I just never considered making a thread on the sports board. I'm not the kinda person who talks a whole lot about sports.

>>2 Hey, I like hockey. I don't follow it, because I don't care who wins, but it's fun anyway.

I also like wrestling (I know, I just don't care), UFC, and recently discovered I like watching baseball. (I like playing baseball, but don't really know anyone I can play it with.)

I saw a lacrosse game when I was little, and I really liked it, but haven't seen it on tv until recently. I still enjoy it.

I like playing basketball, volleyball, badmington, baseball. I also like to wrestle with friends.

This post shouldn't imply skill. ^^;

I'm a cross between a sports addict, and internet addict.

Whenever my friends are up to staying after school, I would go with them no matter what, and we would play basketball, football, hacky sack, and sometimes wrestle. Even if it's below freezing, the bunch of us would still play. We would stay from 2:30 to 5 or 6 PM playing, and then call it a night before leaving for home. And when I get dropped off home, I would go on the comp and use the remaining 3 - 5 hours surfing the net, watching asian dramas mostly, and other stuff, unless Heroes is on =P.

But any day my friends don't stay, I would use the comp for a large amount of time, (On weekends, I sometimes watch a whole asian drama series during that whole day.)

But I still love playing sports, I would always go with my friends if they stay.
