Right speaker not working! (4)

My right laptop speaker has only stopped working today, it was working perfectly fine last year, last week, last night. It's only that right speaker that's not working, I tried playing around with the volume control balance. I put my earphones in, I hear stereo sound.

Now, I'm a noob, so if there's something I'm missing here, please, PLEASE tell me! My laptop's a week and a day short of its second birthday from factory sealing, the warranty has expired. My worst fear is having to concede to its deterioration and resolving to listen with earphones until I get a new laptop. Which will be never, I can't afford this!

Earphones are cheap and sound better anyway.

Or you could just take the model #, run a search on e-bay, and pickup a new speaker piece for probably $20-30 and install it yourself... It's typically fairly simple...

Alternatively... get some small speakers that can be mounted either side of the LCD screen.

I've got a similar problem with my laptop at times, thus I'm tempted to go down this route myself.
