i almost wanted to write try truecrypt, but then i read your complete text... what's so hard with zipping? are you using the default windows shit? try 7-zip.

'Whats so hard with zipping' is i can still open the folder and see the file names of its contents. I want to prevent the the folder from opening alltogether (without password).

Ill try using othe zip programs, see what happens.

WinRar has support to hide filenames in a passworded archive.

if you are worried that what's contained my be discovered somehow and used against you, I would highly suggest using TrueCrypt to create an encrypted container. The passwords are pretty much unbreakable, the container itself is indistinguishable from random data, and has support for hidden archives.

If it's not that big a deal, WinRar is the way to go - but some programs can eventually crack it's passwords.

winrar sucks. it's the most retarded format ever. even to unpack one file from an archive you have to wait until the whole thing is temporarely unpacked. also many other things... most overrated format ever. shits sucks.

you could use "copy filea.zip+fileb.png filec.png" in command prompt to hide it in filec.png, and rename it to filec.rar when you wanna fap. Old school.

7-zip is excellent, and it can do strong aes encryption and is open source

otherwise use truecrpyt IMHO
