I am buying this. They say that is has an "unlocked bootloader", which I hopt means the mobo firmware will be opensource, along with any/all hardware drivers. This could mean that it is the first computer in a long time that even Ritchard Stallman can use.
And it's a tablet on the smaller end of size. I am buying this.

if it can fully run a linux os on it that means it can run anything.

"unlocked bootloader" means that you can flash any compatible OS without a problem but that doesn't mean its opensource.

It says the operating system is Mer, which is open source.

The graphics chip seems to be proprietary, though a few hackers are reverse engineering it.
