A girlfriend tried to get me to watch it with her. I was not amused. I got through the intro, and then I just closed the movie. I found it distasteful. I am also no longer with that girl.

I only got about ten minutes in before closing it. It seemed that I was going to generally agree with them--unless it takes a drastic turn in topic somewhere after the ten minute mark--but the whole thing was done with the same sort of tone as batshit moon landing conspiracists. Kind of undermines the message. That and I'd already known all about the material they'd covered so far and it was starting to smell of bullshit, particularly the astrology stuff (which I'm fairly familiar with from researching batshit egyptology conspiracies).

The worst thing about this movie is how it makes you lose respect for your idiot friends who kept bugging you until you watched it.

>>4 makes me feel superior to him because none of my friends kept bugging me until I watched it. Which I didn't do, because blatantly manipulative demagogic pseudo-documentaries make me scornful.

>>5 doesn't know that he has nothing to feel superior about, since all of my friends are actually imaginary.

Zeitgeist is just another in a series of films made by students with biased opinions and more effort towards production than research. The guy basically took his theories on the origins of the Christian religion, Loose Change, and a general idea of global government dominance, then he threw it all together.

Conspiracy theory videos are amusing to watch as entertainment and for a few cheap laughs. Anyone taking them seriously, should re-acquaint themselves with critical thinking skills and a healthy dose of Skepticism.

garbage

Zeitgeist is the most accurate conspiracy video ever created because a beginners guide to astrology, google news, and economics 101 can undermine the most popular and powerful religion in the world [Christianity], United States intelligence, and Wallstreet.

I liked the idea of a resource based economy and the abolition of monetarism, that makes perfect sense; a society based on exponential growth through the exploitation of finite resources is doomed.

I wasn't quite so impressed by the transhumanist content. That whole area leaves me feeling very cold and I am hostile to it.

>>13 I could never watch Zeitgeist, but why are you so hostile to transhumanism? That idea seems pretty good to me, whereas a resource based economy would still fail eventually as resources are consumed.
