The girls at the restaurant said he was alone and it was just a few hours before he left, I imagine a love interest would at least have dinner with him.

This woman could be merely somebody who was on that same flight but not directed to Tahiti, or maybe she is and she is just a friend. In any case, if they are going to have a meltdown they should really wait for a proper photo. Roland Garros is close, he might introduce her there :)

Good thing he is taking a vacation though. I remember he said that in 2012 he was in LA auditioning for a role he didn't get and on the spur of the moment he decided to take a trip to Hawaii. Might be the same.
