So I was thinking about it a bit, and I wonder now: would we think so highly of this movie if the sequels had been good? What if the bar had been set higher? Of course it wasn't.

I'd like to hear from someone who hadn't bothered with the sequels at all or someone who saw this one first. We're going to have to find someone who has been a in a coma, or prison, or marooned for a long time I think.
