I don't think you can disable comments for a specific photo, so he had to just delete it if he wanted the discussion to stop.

At the very least, even if Tom doesn't see the photo fiasco on the internet, I'm sure JVR will tell him next time they talk.

4 Name: Anon : 2016-01-08 10:05 ID:bgcXLLLp

What an absolute mess to start our new board with. JVR is sucked into the vortex that is Tom Hiddleston's love life. Seriously, though he is in the industry and TH was the star of his upcoming movie at the time of all the Pursegate articles. He must have seen that shitstorm and known this was a subject of massive interest. But he posts the picture anyway. What a wally.

5 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-08 10:12 ID:Heaven

The post laser-tag Star Mag article from Nov. 30th comes to mind, maybe that was EO getting back at TH for not falling in love with her.

6 Name: Anon : 2016-01-08 10:55 ID:bgcXLLLp

FWIW the Celebitchy line on Fassy/ Alicia Vikander is that he never discusses their relationship or even confirmed its existence and she is desperate to say in every interview that she and he are an item. Eg for some recent awards ceremony they didn't walk the RC together but she couldn't wait to tell everyone she and he flew down together. I don't follow them so I don't know how fair this is (TH and his love life is a full time job!) but I found it funny given how EO has always seemed to be the one who Wants This Out There.

7 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-08 11:14 ID:Heaven

>>6 I also don't follow them, but by googling her, Alicia doesn't need to tie her name to a more famous actor to stay relevant, she is having a great moment, lot of recognition and nominees and her own franchise possibly if The Man from Uncle will have a secon chapter.

EO is the one who doesn't have any future project announced, the one that faces competition from actresses her age (let's remember she is 26) and older since she really doesn't look her age (no shade, she said in a recent interview that people always tell her how she looks older), Scarlet Witch is no Back Widow, so all in all she needs the buzz and a better image.

The BAFTA nominations were announced yesterday, was HR a possibility? At CB someone mentioned HR and BAFTA but I seem to remember the film it wasn't eligible for this year BAFTA. In Theory TH might be away in Vietnam on Febr. 14

>>14 I imagine they will still want to be under the radar for a while. They may not yet be more than FWB, and even if they are now officially a thing, it is a bit soon. They have to find a plausible timeline, as I bet they will not want to admit they lied at TIFF, and will pretend that they truly were not together at TIFF and have somehow found love since then. At the present time there isn't much "since then" to play with - Oct to Dec when he has been away filming for most of it.

Ugh. I was going to write a probably too-damn-long post about THEO. But I just don't have it in me.

So all I'll say is: If it can't be 'Ave JArthy' then any girl will do - and EO fits that bill. A real human woman should be his frequent companion - not a pair of boots or his PA.

38 Name: Anon. : 2016-01-09 03:19 ID:8c72Ic/o

Now, an important question to end the night:

Do we think TH has had his hair chemically straightened? It's longer but with no curl.

39 Name: anonsy : 2016-01-09 03:34 ID:YO42PGlY

>>38 I've wondered that myself. I doubt he goes to the trouble of straightening it daily himself, so he either has it done professionally or all the years of drastic coloring have taken a toll on his hair. Did you also happen to notice the gray in his temples and by his ears?

>>37 I don't know Tom so I can only speak from my own personal experience, but I'd rather be alone than with someone who's not really what I'm looking for. There have been some stretches of time where I was single and I got the usual pitying comments and glances from friends and family, but it doesn't really bother me. I absolutely prefer to have a partner, but I find it better to be alone than in a draining or 'wrong' relationship. Tom strikes me as quite the workaholic, and he might very well prefer to just be single or hang with friends or be in some kind of casual arrangement instead of investing time and effort into something he knows isn't going to last.

40 Name: Anon : 2016-01-09 05:12 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>38 >>39 This is a far more interesting question than who he's shagging. I am saying no to the chemical straightener on balance because the results are inconsistent and at times his hair is still very bouncy and sticks up. See for example the recent LAX IG photo with a male fan. I reckon because he was travelling we are looking at a self-administered blow dry there and it is very different from these pics (which are VERY straight and which I don't like - any man will look receding with his hair blown straight back from his hairline like that. Stylist probably didn't want to let him get away!!). His hair varied a lot in Toronto and NYC depending on who was doing it: for example here it looks very curly: http://freckletriangleofdoom.tumblr.com/post/136075729423/larygo-x-oh-my

Also in that photoshoot of him in a white shirt looking very blonde and curly (from same shoot as the one where he is up to the knees in leaves. Sorry - 5am and I am too tired to find a link but we all loved it on here due to his fluffy golden-ness).

It's very short at the mo - a lot of the curls have been scissored off (sob!) and it really wouldn't take long to dry. I imagine he's learned a thing or two after years of sitting watching other people do it.

41 Name: Anon : 2016-01-09 05:24 ID:bgcXLLLp

He is wearing the same tshirt and jacket he wore at the airport. I despair.

Am I alone in thinking he looks a tad stressed in these pics? He usually looks dreamy and smiley even when not actively smiling but there is a lot more bitchy resting face in these photos.

42 Name: anonsy : 2016-01-09 05:35 ID:YO42PGlY

>>40 I always forget how much easier and faster it is for short-haired people to blow dry their hair. I prefer the curls, and the photoshoot in the leaves is one of my favorites.

>>41 You're not alone, I thought the same thing.

43 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-09 07:42 ID:Heaven

>>38 >>39 >>40 if anything all the drastic colouring would dry his hair even more making it even more curly, he probably put some gel soon after washing to have a neater look. I imagine when it's longer the curls must be difficult to handle.
Anon, which photo for the gray?

>>39 anonsy I agree with you, much as I felt sorry for him (as much sorry as you can feel for a good-looking talented, famous, rich actor) when he was nominated as ambassador for BFI and he didn't have anyone important by his side to celebrate, I think being with a fill-in or the wrong person will make you feel even more lonely. Not to mention it's ver insensitive toward the fill-in to lead her on.

44 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-09 07:43 ID:Heaven

>>41 yes, a bit tired and tensed, but it'd be easier to judge in a video, photos can be deceiving.

I've got to say guys, that this (and the collage photos) is a step further then the BoraBora hand, I mean I thought that when TH walked off stage in Nashville leaving her alone to flap her arms was weird enough for someone so chivalrous and courteous, but here and in the collage he's basically ignoring her!

53 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-09 08:50 ID:Heaven

>>51 I know anonsy, as I said yesterday can this man be really that stupid or willing to do all this pseudo PR game for a film that is DOA? A 34 years old man not even knowing how feels about someone he has been friend with for 4 year and fwb for a year so he goes and denies something that he plans to keep on doing? It doesn't make any sense at all.

54 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-09 08:53 ID:Heaven

>>49 I wonder what the tweet was, but this is why this silly situation with EO is problematic, when the time comes to do press for ISTL in March journalists will surf the internet looking for infos about those two, so even if the collage now won't make it to the media, it will still be found and possibly used in the near future.

some at CB actually think that's Erin Moriarty, but the girl in the first pic up left truly looks like EO. Why would the director delete the photo if that was Erin? A simple "no that's EM, not EO", would have been enough.

58 Name: Whatsinaname : 2016-01-09 17:39 ID:u1vu1eqv

In my last post, I meant to say, in parentheses, that it was not clear whether or not TH actually used the word 'stalker' or used words that directly implied the reporter was one.

>>8 >>11 I wonder if she's got the chops or name for a West End run. As I understand, to star/headline, you've got to either have true acting cred/significant stage experience or a name to make productions take a gamble on you. Does she really have either?

She received rave reviews for MMMM (is that enough Ms?), but her movies and work has been a little meh since then. Before TH and before THEO, I saw MMMM, Liberal Arts and Old Boy. I loved MMMM - a really engrossing story, characters, everything. And her performance was spot on - very realistic and natural. Liberal Arts was awful, so her performance was compromised by the plot/cheesy dialogue. Old Boy: I actually liked it (maybe the only one), but of the performances I found hers to be the weakest (maybe tied with the guy who played the Stranger). And despite being in a Marvel movie, I don't think she's that big name or cache wise. She's still the twins' sister before anything of her own making.

I feel like she would need to audition for a West End play - that is theatre/producers wouldn't be offering her things. Not even if TH had a word in someone's ear - I don't think he has that sort of pull.

>>65 There has been the odd thin-on-talent celebrity casting in the West End - for example LiLo in Speed the Plow, which raised a few eyebrows. That said, LiLo has a greater notoriety I suppose. I imagine most Daily Mail readers were aware of who she was and what her story was whereas I doubt EO is really known in that way.

As to acting chops, I'd say she traded on her family connections to leverage good looks and a fairly mediocre talent into one or two good movies and a number of later ones of gradually declining quality. Save for AOU, a franchise which is definitely bigger than her, her career has been on a downward track recently (jury's out as to whether ISTL will revive it). I think she also traded for a while on the general amazement that she was a better actress than her sisters (who set a low bar - I read an article recently that said they couldn't even act as babies!). However that only works for a while and as people have said on here, she is not an ingenue any more. Her apparent lack of new projects (I checked IMDb just now and there is nothing even in pre production) speaks volumes - for her career and also I'd say for her more limpet-like qualities around TH.

I VERY much doubt he could get her or anyone a gig in the West End. Unless, maybe, he agreed to play opposite her - which would be a guaranteed earner. Unless he is very much more in lurve than his evasiveness about the relationship suggests, I think that is unlikely! I cannot imagine him wanting his return to the stage to be a circus like that would be.

The paid companion is there. Which suggests Lady Hiddles is as well, but you never know. Could TH handle the GGs by himself? Who would hold his glasses? His hotel key? His phone?

Lady Hiddles and the Paid Companion! That is priceless.

>>79 It's fairly straightforward. The main thing is: clicking on the number of a post will link it in your message box. Or two left facing arrows and the number.

Otherwise, just post your thoughts, any TH links you find, gossip and speculation are more than welcome, too.

EO has a handbag. Maybe she can take care of these items.

>>76 I wonder if she's keeping things open to advance the relationship, i.d., be available to fly to him since he's traveling and filming.

She has been limpet-like (great simile!), however, I don't think it's been completely one sided. He's a big boy, he can say no (behind closed doors, if not in the public eye). But it doesn't seem like he has.

Welcome N8Anon! I guess I'm no longer the newcomer.

>>76 One of the tumblr posters confirmed earlier this week that TH doesn't have anything listed in the pipeline in IMDBPro (more info there than their public IMDB), which seems a bit worrisome, unless he requested nothing be listed for privacy/strategy reasons. I don't have an account, but I'll do some sleuthing and get back to you on EO.

>>95 His public IMDb at least shows SI and Thor 3 as current or forthcoming, which I guess takes him up to the end of this year. Hers shows nothing except Infinity Wars in post production. Be interested to know what her pro one shows.

>>97 Oh yeah, that's the public eye part - I agree, he can't say no to strangers (you know, the non-confrontional pleaser type).

I do, however, think he's capable of saying no in private and, more specifically, of ending a relationship. I mean, do we think Ave JArthy, full of thirst, (crosses self) ended that relationship?
