>>300 YES! FINALLY! Been dying to see this one!
On the subject of THEO and the clickbait articles, there's going to be many more like this for the next few months. This shit is gonna go down in a glorious fiery blaze and the fans are going to rip each other apart over it. The haters, the shippers, and the Hiddlestoners. It is going to be wince worthy. Riot gear anyone?
>>301 Yeah, I say let those two crazy kids get on with whatever they've got going on! The sightings, pics, DM articles (please, Lord, yes!), joint interviews, awkward/cozy red carpet events and TH (I'm about the work!) Facebook posts are going to be grist for the mill here and elsewhere in the TH-verse.
And in between we get TNM, HR and ISTL (yeah, I'll go just to see the car crash of it all).
Onward and upwards, THEO!
>>302 Don't forget another cringe worthy pap walk!
I'm not gonna watch ISTL. It didn't appeal to me from the beginning. Maybe The Night Manager but I'll settle for some sexy GIFs. But High Rise I will watch rewatch and buy the DVD!
Same for me about ISTL. I never intended to see it in the theater, but then between the bad reviews and all the THEO stupidity I have no desire to see it at all. I'm definitely watching TNM, and probably High Rise at least when it's out on DVD.
As far as Celebitchy is concerned, their "journalism" has really taken a hard nosedive in the last year or so. They've always been a gossip site but they at least used to try to be legit in some way. Now it's all ridiculous clickbait articles and misleading headlines. I'm not even going to address the comment sections.
Oh, and anyone would look pregnant in that dress EO was wearing yesterday. Do I think she did it on purpose? Absolutely.
I always thought Celebitchy deliberately writes their gossip that way, because it's CeleBITCHY.
Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston's individual online hits must have definitely gone up tremendously since the gossip sites picked up on the JVR pic and then her appearance at Stella McCartney's last night. That is if their reps are keeping track of trivial things like that.
>>304 yeah, difficult to wtach the film without thinking about the rest. Actually it makes you wonder why would TH keep trying to focus people on the film IF he is doing all these not-so-secret appearances with EO everywhere.
here's a little video of Eo at Stella's fashion show at minute 1.50 something. Just a few seconds really.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUhCtLW9e3U
here's another gossip something website that reposted the cllage photo
http://www.socialitelife.com/in-case-you-were-curious-tom-hiddleston-and-elizabeth-olsen-are-probably-still-dating-01-2016
here are photos of EO at the event, both official and from paps, I think she might have done something at her face, like fillers, but don't trust me.
http://elizabetholsenbr.com/galeria/
someone at CB says 2 nights ago EO as at a nightclub. I couldn't find anything mentioned on any EO's fansites.
>>306 I can't watch him sing without cringeing so I won't be going to see it. I also dislike earnest please give me an Oscar please PLEASE biopics.
Celebitchy was a crazy place last night but there was one comic gem: "Put his soul into the movie? Put his soul into his pants more like."
>>307 I thought she had had some fillers done to her cheeks. What possesses someone of 27 to do that?
>>307 I think you're right about her face... it's more noticeable when she smiles.
>>310 She's also had a nose job at some point during her life, though not recently I assume.
>>309 >>310 are fillers the 21st century alternative of getting a new haircut after a romantic setback?
It's very noticeable in the pap pics like this one
http://elizabetholsenbr.com/galeria/albums/userpics/10006/normal_007.jpg
>>311 absolutely, she cut off a chunk of it.
Very sad news.
It has just been announced that Alan Rickman has passed away from cancer.
World is a much less melodious place.
>>313 very much so.
I am so, so sad to hear this news. I have loved Alan Rickman since I saw him in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (setting the scene for many, many years of rooting for snake-hipped English bad guys in black wigs and swirly cloaks). His work gave me great happiness as a child, a teenager and an adult - there aren't many actors of whom I can say that :(
>>308 I FEED off of second-hand embarrassment so watching him sing won't be troublesome for me. Aaaand, if I watch it, then I can give it a good rogering of a critique.
I don't know if she has had a nose job. I think she might just have a significantly different nose from that of her sisters - their noses seems to be wider than hers, but the angle is the same. Pics of her from before her acting career (there's one with HS yearbook shots of The Avengers cast floating around) suggest it's the same. So, if she did have one, it would have needed to be when she was in her teens.
I think she looks different in these recent shots because she is werking it hard! I mean, she is really posing in some of these shots.
However, talk of her nose reminds me of a comment on an article about the ISTL trailer - maybe it was on Dlisted or JustJared. The person said that she was excited to watch the movie but wasn't exited about 'watching EO act from the tip of her damn nose. Why has she got her head tipped so far back in every scene?'
I hadn't noticed it until this comment, but her nose is pitched upwards throughout the whole trailer! Maybe this is her 'hard nosed wife' look.
>>318 Don't know, I saw photos from 3,4 years ago and the nose looked different but whatever, I wasn't trying to shade her, I was just baffled as to why someone already so pretty and so young would feel the need to do something to her face.
Interview with Th and Crowell about ISTL
https://www.facebook.com/ISawTheLightMovie/videos/429059610617309/
>>319 Oh, I didn't think you were. And even if you were, that's fine. I like tossing shade myself!
I do wonder if - like with her cheeks - she pulls her nose in too when she poses. I have a friend who can significantly change her look if she pulls down on her nose
And now for some shade!
The DM - my online paper of choice! - was ALL OVER the Stella event. They had a big general article about the event. They also had individual articles/videos on some of the 'big names.'
So, people who got their own article/video: Kate Hudson, Amber Heard, Johnny Dep's daughter, Emilia Clark, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Katy Perry, Kate Upton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie, Joanne Froggart (the maid from Downton), Kieran Shipka (the daughter from Mad Men), Selma Blair, and your third cousin's cat.
Anyone missing?
>>321 everytime Tom talks about how hard he worked on ISTL as Hank, all I can think of is "as hard as you worked on your costar? ;) amirite Tom amirite?" It's horrible I know but it's all that comes to mind, their "sizzling chemistry" and the bad pap walk.
>>323 she didn't get her own section? GASP! Who does a girl have to bang to up her DM creds? What were they thinking not covering her!
But on a serious note, is Elizabeth Olsen even that famous on her own? I only heard of her because of the MMMM movie and then heard about her again during Godzilla promos and then the Avengers. Is she really very famous and I've been living under a rock all this time?
>>323 Even wuss on the fame front is to come. Michael of Dlisted has merely linked to the Celebitchy article with a caption to the effect that EO looks freshly f*cked by TH. He can't even be bothered to write a snarky article about the whole liar liar pants on fire thang. It has officially become boring!
The Night Manager promo trailer
https://youtu.be/EGCc_jtuz44
You can tell already there big differences with the book, not a bad thing. I truly hope this is good.
torrilla has also HQ scans of TotalFilm's article about HR.
You all know how to see them in HQ so I won't be posting links.
I am hoping and praying this is good. The two BBC series of the George Smiley novels were so brilliant that this has a lot to live up to in my mind. Have you seen them? They are a master class in how to do a le Carré novel in 6 episodes.
>>329 No! I watched the films based on his novels but not those, I'll try to find them. My hunch after watching the trailer, it might not do so well in the US - but there's always the rest of the world.
>>330 Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's people are both on iTunes. TTSS is much, much better than the film - the plot is too complex for 2 hours and anyway Alec Guinness knocks spots off Gary Oldman. But Smiley's People is even better (you really have to watch TTSS first for the context).
The trailer looks amazing. I wasn't into The Night Manager at all but after watching the trailer, I'm actually looking forward to it! I thought it would have a very outdated wanna be Bond kind of feel and who knows it still might but because of the trailer, I'm willing to give it a go.
TNM looks good. I'm hopeful for that and HR.
The hideous worn looking blue shirt he was wearing in the Queensland restaurant pic appears in the (?) Morocco riot scene of the trailer! Does he ever shop, or just steal leftover wardrobe items from things he appears in?
>>334 It seems like he (or Olly) buys him 2 or 3 of every shirt or pair of jeans that go together so he doesn't have to overthink when he gets dressed. Mix and match in a hurry, for the actor on the run. :)
>>334 the spent all the budget for Hugh Laurie's clothes.
So, EO has a job that doesn't imply following TH around!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Actually I should say that a rumoured job she was already linked to has been confirmed with a different co-star.
Last year in May there was the news she was to star in Wind River with Chris Pine, now it's Renner. Filming starts in March.
http://www.imdb.com/news/ni58599559/
http://www.imdb.com/news/ni59389773/
Anyone want to place bets on thoikelihood of him visiting her on set?
>>339 nah, my bet is the only time we'll see them together will be for the ISTL promo. If she shows up.
>>339 Highly unlikely IMO. She seems to be the one who does all the visiting, even when he's not working. Wonder if the rumors about EO and Renner will resurface when they're filming together. I know he denied them last time it came up, but as we've seen nobody cares about denials.
>>341 I'd heard rumours he was gay (notwithstanding - or perhaps explaining - his short-lived marriage). I believe she or her people rushed to deny the JR rumours, something else which made me believe that the US Weekly story came from her as she never denied it at the time.

Identity of the lady at the far right? (it doesn't look like EO)
>>343 Nice shorts, Tom. The big question: was this photo taken the same day as the photo with the chef, or has Tom had the same shirt on since he arrived in Australia?
>>345 I believe he buys 2 or 3 of the same shirt to make dressing easier and to confuse people with respect to figuring out the exact date when pictures were taken. JMHO
slightly larger version of the photo
https://scontent-frt3-1.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xta1/t51.2885-15/e35/12568231_917147855074587_1800396936_n.jpg
>>346 I do believe he buys several of the same thing as otherwise he wouldn't smell as delicious as those who've met him say. But I don't think he wears the same thing to confuse people - he did it in New York for the CP promo when there was no need to confuse anyone (he wore those black jeans and blue serge shirt about 3 days running). I think he does it because he is a bit hopeless on the clothes front!
This is nothing new, BAFTA 2015 I think, but I haven't seen this photo before and it made me chuckle a bit - TH's duckface! Bonus - googly eyed Luke in the background, as usual.
somehow he doesn't look as involved as he generally is.
Anyway, this might be the director version of "make light of the EO incident" (still joking)
In case someone comes a says EO was in Oz this week, no she was in LA, groceries shop

>>362 By the way, she seems yet again to be able to deal with the presence of a pap without putting her bag over her face.
>>364 she has been able to since after the Star Magazine article at the end of November, when she started to have a social life again [runs] [to] [reach] [Anon]
>>364 by the way, she is always able to deal with the paps in the US, it's only when she is in UE that she has scarf crisis [runs] [faster]
Article about Kong celebs in the mall, believe it or not they even managed to get it wrong, since there's no post of TH about it on his fb page.
Good morning. This is why I check twitter, even on a holiday weekend!
Some HD stills from HR:

The only one that counts...or ever will count:
http://www.thejokersfilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/HighRise4.jpg
>>368 You beat me to it, Anon(.), by 3 minutes. ;)
And, as a reminder, THIS >>368 , went off to Bora Bora with Our Mother of Thirst.
Oh, Blessed JArthy, in the words of Adele...You could have had it AAAAALLLLLLLL.
>>370 bites lower lip I wonder if there was manscaping involved before the shot, or if each hair was perfectly placed by the heavens...
I am tired of my job. I want a job as the magazine placement person.
in the meantime, HR will eb released on Amazon Video before it gets released in theatre n the US so no Oscar run for this film.
http://www.magpictures.com/profile.aspx?id=0064c44a-a6d1-4fa1-b0a4-13d7f57d2606
>>372 you aim low, I want the job of the person who had to do the make for the body.
But I swear that if during promotion he says he did for equality I might just kill him.
He has no hips
>>368 I apologize. I should have labeled this NSFW, and NSFBP (blood pressure) and NSFP (panties).
>>371 I'm sure the 'body hair experts' - those of 'he definitely shaved his pits and chest for Corio.' fame - are currently comparing ALL evidence and will be releasing their manifesto (crazy theories) on Tumblr very soon.
>>375 I have very little leg and thus very little leg-spread, so those skinny hips will fit perfectly. (My boy is in the room as I type this - confession, here I come.)
I have snuck out of an all day meeting to check the board - hence different id.
He is delicious. How delightful to be so beautiful that when you take your clothes off you may be sure you will dazzle everyone with your perfection.
>>374 He has the book to fall back upon as this scene was actually in the novel. And since it was 'nude sunbathing' in the book, he can even blush and claim restraint.
My RAM memory always runs short on weekends, but did we ever call him out properly on this board for that 'equality via nudity' rubbish?
Too right we did. We moaned at length about the "female centric" but in fact totally male fantasy apex scene in CP (no frontal from him, alleged virgin rides astride, no cunnilingus etc).
New ISTL pic. My appraisal: not enough treasure trail - not nearly enough!!!
>>379 Oh, I remember that we raked the love scene over the coals - because it was - what's the word - shite.
But I think Couch just now might be the first to say his 'I did it for equality!' answer as to why he did the nudity was as shite and unrealistic as the love scene itself! We got so wrapped up in the crap love scene that we forgot about his crap answer for why he showed his down-low cheeks.
>>381 I think she did the takedown back then too!
Seriously, he is a bit daft with the old "I support feminism" thing. He spent ages droning on about this at Nuffield I am told. My friend who went and reported back said rather waspishly that it was unforgivably dull because totally uninformative. Is any male celebrity really going to say no, I support oppresssion of women, sex trafficking and FGM? The real question is not whether they express support for feminism, but whether they actually do anything about that other than wear a t shirt.
PS In his Guinea field diary he confessed he had never heard of FGM prior to the trip. For a then 32 year old, Cambridge educated, Guardian reading man, I found this shockingly ignorant.
Good god! I come back after a weekend away and oh my gawd oh my gawd...he is a thing of beauty right there! Thank you Ben Wheatley. Thank you!
Frankly I didn't think Crimson Peak itself was very feminist. It peeved me that they had two strong female characters but they pitted them against one another and over the love of a man who wants to be good in the end but the woman kills him. I see this kind of "feminism" in young adult books a lot and it bothers me that when a female character is strong, she's put up against another female and it's usually over winning the love of the guy or because they both love the same guy.
You want to tell a story about a deranged abused pair of siblings who are murderous and who make a prey out of unsuspecting young women? Okay go ahead. But don't call it feminist friendly just because the female lead is clothed in the sex scene and gets to be on top. I didn't like Crimson Peak at all and this one of the many reasons why. I hate this kind of superficial "feminism". It's like the fluff kind of feminism that people do so men don't get offended because you don't show how it's the patriarchal control that's created the misogyny in our world.
>>383 Agreed - CP totally failed the Bechdel test (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bechdel_test)
>>381 >>382 Couch will trust you on that because all Couch remembers of Sept/Oct is: find link/post link - but in writing that Couch was surely making fun, like yesterday.
>>382 you sure it was the Guines field diary and not some interview? Because I remember just a mention of FGM in that diary and it was about some sign they found on the road.
>>386 Couch still had time to post feminist critique of crap love scene between the links. PS still enjoyed seeing his bottom though!
It was in an earlier edition of the field diary. He met an old guy who was campaigning against it and said he was "profoundly shocked to hear there is such a practice"
http://blogs.unicef.org.uk/2013/01/27/tom-hiddlestons-guinea-field-diary-day-3/
>>387 multitasking person that I am. PS the bottom was the best part of course.
Thanks, and yes strange he wouldn't have known of it.
>>385 I had forgotten about the Bechdel test! I remember it being dismissed by a fair few mainstream critics because it was 'championed' by a lesbian - and a cartoonist at that.
Hmmmmm, I wonder how many of TH's movies would pass?
Or how many of Miss "He for She"'s movies?
>>387 In fairness, I think most unsavory aspects of life would shock him. He's very worldly in some ways (education/travel), and very sheltered/inexperienced in others (the nitty and gritty of life). Just look at his twitter experience - most people would have been more guarded, less trusting, knowing that not all people are inherently good-intentioned. Not TH, he happily opened himself up like a tin of baked beans for all to see.
It's part of his charm, but it's also gotten him into trouble. But he is learning; he's certainly more guarded and thoughtful now.
And, in his defense, I must admit that I only learned about FGM from a Law and Order episode when I was about 15/16. It wasn't something that came up in my AP Euro History course!
Australian Open tennis has just started ... finals weekend in 2 weeks. Wonder if JVR will give Tom the day (or two) off...
>>391 Yes, but the point is you did learn about it because it is not infrequently discussed in the media, whether in a tv show or in factual articles. There isn't a mainstream newspaper in the UK that hasn't run an article about it, and the Guardian, his favoured paper, has run several in recent years. It is also regularly raised as a major issue by several charities and women's pressure groups.
Maybe all this passed him by - nobody knows everything. But I'd expect someone who is smart and well-read AND claims to be a feminist to have learned about it without a charity-funded trip abroad. It makes me question how informed he is about other women's issues.
This seems recent
"empiremagazine#TomHiddleston tells us what #Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has in store for #ChrisHemsworth's 'comic gift'."
https://www.instagram.com/p/BAuR9Kev8Ke/
>>392 Oh, hell no!
If he shows up with EO, I will completely Lex-out! I will. That jumped-up FWB better not try to out-Wimbledon my Queen of Wimbledon.
Somethings are sacred: Thou shalt have no FWB before Ave JArthy!
>>393 I think a lot passes him by, especially gender-centered issues like these. He does live in a bubble of sorts.
I reckon he's the sort of man that would look at a tampon in the same way he would look at a space alien.
>>394 Nice, Couch! Well the shirt only made its first appearance in September, so it would be after that. It seems he's promoting HR, so maybe it's media work he did in the new year while in London - all guesses.
Comic gift. Yeah, okay, TH. Lord know CH hasn't got a gift for most other acting genres. If you think about it, CH is a movie star because of Thor, so essentially he's a movie star because he's tall, blonde and able to acquire muscle mass quickly and efficiently.
>>395 JArthy was so extreme. Remember that fan video where Tom was buying postcards and she turned to the girl with the camera phone and was like "ARE YOU FILMING ME?!" and then dramatically covered her face with a giant hot pink scarf? Sigh... those were the days.
