have a laugh at this

first the girl from the Observer ingratiating herself with TH's fans https://twitter. com/elizabday/status/691365170728341506

and here ELLEUK's chief editor reply to her comment:

poor Lorrain, does she that she just did it again?

>>710 Ok he is forgiven. Grooving in place while standing at the bar - not ok!!

Anyway he wasn't at the SAG awards last night (Brie was). I am sure he could score tickets at a lot of these things if he wanted (see the Daily Mail's piece on all the women's dreadful dresses - there are some real nonentities attending). The allure of a weekend in LA is not that strong.

>>709 She is deluded. The widely held consensus (cf comments on CB write up of her interview) was that it was shit!

714 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 08:40 ID:Heaven

>>713 it was a bland interview in terms of contents, if you read her replies in to the comments to her tweet she promises she will post about Plato and the rest she left out.
That CB post was terrible, I stopped reading the comments the second time I found a red herring, it's a list of logic fallacies.

715 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 09:01 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>714 Not to mention being full of class hatred and envy of his achievements. Even if he found it easier to get into Cambridge because he had been coached by his school, getting a first shows he would probably have got in anyway. One of the posters referred to his father having "accumulated" wealth, as if he had just found it on the street instead of being a poor Scottish kid who made a successful business!

716 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 11:41 ID:bgcXLLLp

Murray lost in straight sets so if TH was there he must have had a gloomy day. Have been scanning daily mail for pics of audience but can't find any.

>>716 you beat me to it!
So far I haven't seen anything on instagram, and Torrilla hasn't posted anything as well.
I can't imagine him being in Oz and not going to Melbourne to see the final, maybe he's sleeping the off the night at the club, or he is already on a plane.

>>709 what was Lorraine Candy's reply? It looks like she deleted it because the link doesn't work anymore.

719 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 14:32 ID:Heaven

>>718 the link works, anyway this was her reply
"Mmmm .. They really took against me once when I accidentally mentioned a secret girlfriend! #trolled"

720 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 14:54 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>719 Tends to support the theory that the JArthy was indeed introduced to Lorraine as GF. I vaguely recall that at the time she had to eat dirt and withdraw the tweet or say she had made a mistake or something. Before my time - others will remember!

721 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:03 ID:Heaven

>>720 Considering what happened after, I think either it was her assumption or she meant girlfriend as girl-friend, which was what was written in that ELLEUK interview months later.

722 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 15:05 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>721 That was what I originally assumed but since she now says "secret girlfriend" I think she is trying to get out there that she was right.

723 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:09 ID:Heaven

>>722 If that were the case, then TH saying there was "nothing home to write about" first was offensive, but most of all saying very clearly that he was single in that Evening Standard interview (the one with the ducks) was not only a lie but taking his own fans for idiots.
Which is why I wrote that Lorraine did it again, the moron.

724 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:15 ID:Heaven

>>722 There's also the list of event where she wasn't present, like the Olivier Award - big thing to miss if you are a gf. Or TH having fun with girls at the Crimson Peak wrap-up party 2 weeks before BB. I mean if Lorrain was correct, it doesn't make him look like a nice guy, in the least.

725 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 15:22 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>723 Hmm, well JA was seen with TH 3x after the "nothing to write home about" incident: once meeting him outside the Donmar after a performance, once in the BFI bookshop when that fan filmed them, and at Bora Bora. That to me says they were in some kind of relationship during that time.

726 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:26 ID:Heaven

>>725 I'm guessing that Donmar you refer to is the photo of him walking and there a blond lady on his left? That was Lorraine. This is one of the echo chamber of the time, like the one about Lara Pulver going with him on a date the day after Wimbledon to divert attention from JA.

Sure there was some kind of relationship, but gf is the one that is certainly off the table, goodness the woman was dumped right after BB.

727 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 15:27 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>719 Thanks! Strange the link doesn't work on my phone for some reason.

She did the hashtag troll lol is she trying to stir the hornet's nest?

If Jane was really a girlfriend then wow he treated her pretty bad publicly. Pretending to be single, calling her nothing to write home about. I'm surprised he would hide a girlfriend though. Then again Lorraine and Jane are friends so maybe trolling TH's fanbase is a favorite pastime whether she was really a gf or not lol

728 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 15:28 ID:bgcXLLLp

Here they are - some screen caps from the BFI video and the pic at the bottom is taken very near the Donmar. Some fans suggested this was a journalist (of course!) but it was taken after a performance - a bit of an odd time to meet a journo, and also the height, the hair and the body shape are right to be the JArthy.

729 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 15:31 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>726 the lady outside Donmar turned out to be Annabel Brog, the one who did his ELLE interview.

Considering how many of the ELLE ladies are Jane's friends, I have no idea whether she was really Tom's gf or someone trying very hard to make the world believe she was when it was all casual.

730 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 15:38 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>728 the BFI one is Jane but one fan on tumblr lonelledon did a whole investigative thing and found it was Annabel Brog because she found a pic of her in the exact same outfit as that Donmar one. Down to the handbag. Astonishing what these girls can uncover. Unless Jane has the same outfit. Which is possible!

Either way, if she was a gf then it shows Tom is a terrible boyfriend.

731 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:39 ID:Heaven

>>728 Yes that's the photo I meant, no that wasn't JA, it was Lorraine. JA's hair at the time wasn't like that.

Here's the link to that photo with a bigger resolution
http://ww4.sinaimg.cn/large/62656a04gw1ebos8ri9hnj21kw11pwo9.jpg

>>729 yes not Lorrain, Annabel Brog.

733 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 15:40 ID:Heaven

>>729 ELLEUK pseudo journalists are all jumbled together in my brain :)

734 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 15:54 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>733 LOL! They're all Jane's bestie's so you know they're all Tom fangirls anyways. Probably how he got that ELLE spread. As a makeup sorry for "accidentally" tweeting about girlfriend Jane.

735 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 16:05 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>724 maybe that's the point? To show he's not a nice guy everyone thinks he is? That he's an uncouth cad who broke darling Jane's heart and took away her honor! That scoundrel!
For the record, I don't think she was a gf. But I think she tried very hard to be one or at least appear as one.

736 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 16:14 ID:Heaven

>>734 They even went as far as claiming that it was because of Annabel that he decided to do ISTL link

Do you remember how it was found out they were JA's bestie's? I remember there was a mutual acquaintance between TH and JA, some woman that is an expert about health, but nothing about the ELLE.

737 Name: Anon : 2016-01-31 16:21 ID:bgcXLLLp

>>730 I only ever heard of it being Lorraine - if you google her, when her hair was longer it was ash blonde and straight so it could never have been her.

Even so, when TH was saying he was single or his love life was nothing to write home about he was hanging around with JA - in what capacity who knows, but as a long-term something. Assuming we only see the tip of the iceberg, he is spotted around with so few people that to be spotted with her on several occasions suggests to me that they were together a lot more in private. I don't blame him for lying in a way, when you see what happens to the crazies as soon as he gets a GF.

738 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 16:37 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>736 I don't know how others found out but I found vacation pics and group outing pics on IG of Jane and some of the ELLE women. This was before Jane got her own account there. There is also Edith Bowman who was a mutual acquaintance but probably more Jane's friend. I say that because after the nothing to write home about interview came out, Edith deleted Tom's TIFF pics from her IG, even though she was interviewing him in them. She used to tweet back n forth with Tom too but hasn't in a long while.

>>737 probably a convenient FWB. I'm sure she made herself easily available to him whenever possible. Just like how EO does by flying everywhere to see him. I don't think he'd ever lie about an actual girlfriend. He knows the crazies wont do anything. They'll still watch his movies and buy anything of his while spitting venom online on their screens about his girlfriend. Like the town bike blog.

739 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 17:01 ID:Heaven

>>738 I didn't know about Edith Bowman being a mutual friend too, the one I remembered was another one, at the radio with Olivia Coleman in May she spoke well of him. Not that she would speak badly of him on the radio.

740 Name: Whatsinaname : 2016-01-31 17:41 ID:u1vu1eqv

>>739 I remember a pic showing up on tumblr of TH chatting with Edith outside the G and W. So much time has passed that I can't recall if it was during the Coriolanus run (early 2014) or early 2015.
>>707 True, could also hop over to visit his older sister and niece in India.
>>711 A year ago I know he was hoping he would be there last night for the sag awards for ISTL or CP. Poor guy, but not his fault.

741 Name: NewAnon : 2016-01-31 17:59 ID:SKuCBz5r

>>739 the one where she called him a tall happy lovely puppy? Yeah that was Edith Bowman interviewing her. Edi posed with Tom for pics at the WhatsOnStage awards so public facing its all nice it seems. Deleting his pics from TIFF from her IG seemed odd to me( mind you she was gushin over him in the caption about how charming and handsome and lovely he is) until I figured out the friendship and nothing to write home about timing. Could be a different reason altogether but I feel like it may have to do with Jane because Edi kept all her other pics from that TIFF.
All the Tom and Jane connections and Jane and ELLE connections were much easier to find before she deleted all her social media and made everything private. I didn't bother remembering a lot of these women's names figuring I could find them later if necessary but I didn't expect Jane to delete her Twitter like that. It was work related ffs.

>>731 So for this post: http://hiddlestonandtom.tumblr.com/post/84322959921/redskye572-inspired-by-hiddles-december
what you're saying is - the woman in the white jacket is Annabel, the pink scarf is JA and the one of the fur-lined parka hood is also Annabel?

743 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-01-31 18:57 ID:Heaven

>>742 yes, yes, no, the parka girl was just a customer.

"Does the franchise need Loki?

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has become an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some might argue that the character is just as essential to this particular franchise as Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

"He's such a big part of it,” Waititi reflected, when asked for his take. “And he's such a great part of it. My focus really is making sure that Thor is the best character, though.”

Waititi laughed when I mentioned that many felt that hasn’t quite been achieved yet, and said, “Yeah, well that is my goal! Because he's got to be. And it should be that way."

Another version of the same old "Hwood A-lister is gay blah blah" with TH and JC at the front given the "pining" language: http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2016/02/mr-x-blind-item-2-76.html#comment-3636265

>>758 The re-editing must have made an improvement. Fingers crossed.

>>760 Well, so much for the Letters Live mailing list! Not a word in my inbox about this. I looked on the ticket website and plenty are still available - but at about £80 a pop, or £130 for "premium" seats. Ow. If TH wants to talk about access to the arts that might be a starting point.

763 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-02-06 10:28 ID:Heaven

>>761 Doubtful that is the reason, this festival happens after the Oscar, the big contenders aren't even listed, in fact SPC is also bringing its other music biopic flop, Miles Ahead. I'm also doubtful if by March 6th TH will be done in Vietnam.

Speaking of TH schedule, a little reminder that tomorrow are the Evening Standard British Film Awards, for which he has a nomination as Best Actor (if memory serves).

Going by his PA's instagram, they were still in Oz this week, so if there's filming planned for Monday, I don't think he will fly all the way to London. On the other hand, they might take a week break before starting in Vietnam on the 18th, especially Brie since she has BAFTA next weekend.

769 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-02-06 10:49 ID:Heaven

>>767 not really, bu to be fair Miles Ahead received way better reviews than ISTL, the score at metacritic is on par with CP, around 66% while ISTL has a meagre 45%.

>>777 I feel for him, I really do. He picked three interesting and varied projects for 2014 and none of them quite came off. HR will presumably be eligible for BAFTA, Oscars etc this coming year though, due to the March release date.

It may be that ironically TNM and the BBC will make him a truly household name here and in the States - as tv shows did for so many over the last decade or so, eg John Hamm, Damian Lewis and earlier people like Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Laurie. It really is where so much creativity has been in recent years.

779 Name: Couch Potato : 2016-02-07 13:13 ID:Heaven

>>778 It's surprising that he didn't, HR is in the shortlist as best film but not a single actor/actress is, strange.

I don't expect HR to make it to the Oscar, after what happened this year the Academy will stay away from a film about classism full of white British dudes.

>>790 MTE. I wonder what it's like to have metabolism that's so fast you have trouble keeping weight (muscle too) on over even short periods of time. Then again, maybe he didn't have the resources to weightlift during filming given all the places he had to travel.

>>791 Torrilla has a pic of him with Roper's arm round him, taken from behind, and you can see his little skinny arms poking out of his t shirt. He has a little bicep on the front but no tricep at all. I never believed the story that he gained 20lb of muscle in 6 weeks to screen test for Thor. My personal trainer, who has a body like Chris Evans, doesn't gain that kind of muscle mass in a year, and he gains muscle mass easily.

>>789 The vimeo has since been made private. It was a nice trailer though, while viewing lasted.

>>792 I'm going to say that he did appear to gain something for the Thor audition. It happened during the break between the 1st and 2nd seasons of Wallander, and the change in his body between the two seasons was visibly obvious. You can't tell if it was as much as 20 lbs, but his shoulders and chest were broader, and his butt/thighs larger.

It was not that Coriolanus level of noticeable bulk (or so it appeared - I didn't see the play in person).

>>776 Here I am! :)

>>793 I'd say Coriolanus was the only time we've ever seen him really bulked up. Since he seems to be someone who has a hard time putting weight on, I've wondered what kind of fitness and diet regimen he must have been on for Coriolanus. He had to be eating a ton of protein and lifting for hours every day, or at least lifting really heavy.

(Happy birthday, Tom!)

>>793 Here's a youku video from torrilla of the trailer: http://cheers-mrhiddleston.tumblr.com/post/138934592469/the-full-night-manager-trailer-via-torrilla-on

>>793 >>794 I do actually have a small anecdote about the Thor audition. A friend of mine worked with someone who knew him. The someone was married to Emma H's best friend. The someone attended a BBQ shortly before the audition. TH spent the whole party showing everyone his new muscles and saying "have I got bigger? Have I got bigger?" Apparently the biceps rivalled a sparrow's kneecap in size....bless.

I suppose before Coriolanus he wasn't working on set for ages so he had time to bulk up. Before TNM he lost a lot of weight for ISTL then had to gain it back in Jan-Feb for filming in March. Bit of a tall order especially for someone who is naturally skinny.
