Some of the things Calvin released (or leaked) after the breakup made her look really clingy and not very flattering. She doesn't like people pitying her or feeling sorry for her. She plays the "I'm a victim but I rise" card. And when she was papped with Tom in Rhode Island, there was the rise. Taylor rising above her ex's insults and fate smiling on her and blessing her with the perfect British gent who'll do whatever she wants because all he wants is to make her happy. Her stans ATE IT UP and have been applauding her for sticking it to Calvin since then. She doesn't care Tom is a joke right now because she doesn't plan on being with him for that long. Just long enough to get the upper hand on the media narrative again that Calvin upset with the breakup.

I think she may want Calvin back but on her terms. With Tom's appreciation for the ladies and the current shade on him for being a homewrecker, it'll be an easy sell for to say Tom cheated on her, she left and her ex swooped back in the hero and saved her and now they've matured and they're giving it another go.
