I'd say it's been fairly beneficial.
Nevertheless I do think he's pounding the panty pudding and not thinking with the right head and perhaps dazzled by her dowry.
If they keep this up long enough (and I believe they will) the negative press will diminish as the public sways to believing in the fairytail cinderella dross they have fed us and they will become a new power couple. I think they are making a power play.
