1) she's pregnant - still think this is unlikely. I don't see TS being a whoops baby person; also the maths will make the chronology impossible to spin later. A baby would make it obvious she was cheating on Calvin or that she got knocked up on her first date with TH . Neither would go down well with her tweeny fan base.

2) This is just what TS does. She/her people want to control the narrative about her relationships. There is a degree of extra above and beyond her usual which may be infatuation on her part and/or wanting to show Calvin who won. It's just that in this case the regular strategy went epically wrong. The continued publicity onslaught may be TS's team trying and failing to get everyone back in line. This is a new situation for them.

3) Variant of 2. TS always does this with her relationships and she also wanted to crush Kanye and his pathetic video.

4) The Sun had a scoop. It caught TS cheating and they had to wheel this out before they wanted. Or there was no specific scoop but there was an unfortunate overlap, probably on the night of the Met Gala, and they weren't sure if someone had dirt. So they rushed it out to kick over the traces.
