As far as the relationship itself goes: 100% real, 100% PR, or some combination, whatever it is looks fake, so they have to keep it going for a while to convince the public it's not just all for show - they couldn't do that two-week world tour, meet each other's families, put out a bunch of articles about the whirlwind romance and then just be like "meh nevermind." This is going to go through the summer, they have to make it seem legitimate. The problem is that every effort they've made so far has only pushed more people into the "it's staged" camp.
