>>14 Every shoot differs but from conception to an agreement amongst all involved about the look and layout it's usually a week or two depending on the rush. Then you need to allow another week or two for location scouting/ sourcing the wardrobe/ locking down a date when everyone is available. So a month is a generous amount of time to pull it off and a fortnight is doable if someone is in a mad rush.
I've also worked on desperation last minute shoots pulled together in less than a week- they're manic but they do happen.
It's highly likely the shoot was conceived as a direct result of the infamous declaration of love wifebeater. It's possible it was pulled together after Tay's takedown while in Australia. It's certainly been pulled together after the dismal reaction to his underpantze editorial.
Whichever way, TH had nothing to promote yet he made the cover. The Cumberbund initiated the softest, most loving and gentle "interview" of TH's career whereby he managed to remain completely cushioned from his current troubles while plugging his life achievements. Dubious photos aside, the interview served him well.
Who knows, maybe TH is a closet fan of 70s gay prison porn and chintz decor

>>15 thanks - my eyes had glazed over to the extent that I failed to see this...!!!

>>16 And also thanks for the inside line. One of the myths peddled by the stans (especially on CB) is that these things take MONTHS to organise meaning that for example the underpantze editorial was in the pipeline in 2009 or something and had nothing, repeat nothing, to do with desperate thirsty Bond shenanigans.

Similarly they are saying that this editorial must have been in the mind of Interview Mag months before TayTo and that the concept would also have been arranged long before. So he didn't get it because of his association with her, and it wasn't to do damage control, oh no.

Fashion shoots I don't know anything about. But I have had friends who work in publishing and I did think that it sounded like rubbish that these things are set in stone so far ahead. Even a monthly magazine tries to be topical. If they had planned to have a dead-eyed Cara Delvigne on the cover but can switch out nearer the time for someone who they think is more topical and will sell more magazines, due to the joy of desk top publishing, they can and will do it very easily.
