Silly things Tom said: all the stuff about having a publicity and private life which are separate.

I still don't think he gets it. Nobody would deny him the right to a private life if, like Adele, he said "oh by the way I got married and I didn't tell any of you!" Oddly for a classicist he doesn't not understand that when you lift the lid off Pandora's box, that is IT. Use your private life for publicity once and the press will hound you forever.

BTW I did mean to say a "publicity life". It seemed to me he was talking about something other than a public life here - the fact that he is forced to do interviews etc.

Anyone else sense he has been phoning it in for this tour? Apart from the unenthusiastic expressed to the Telegraph, someone said after AOL Build that they had never heard him talk so little in a group interview....
