I asked my Japanese colleague some help to understand when the Japanese premiere for Kong will be, it's on March 15th in Shinjuku, Tokyo. While browsing she also found out that:

"The Japanese premier of "Kong: Skull Island" will be held in mid-March and GACKT, who provides the Japanese voice dubbing for the main character Conrad, will attend!!On that day, cast members Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson will come to Japan for the premier. For the first time, a Western movie will have a red carpet spread down the 120.1 meter long Godzilla Road in Shinjuku, and will greet 1000 Japanese fans!! Will we see GACKT and Tom Hiddleston together...?"

She says that Gackt is a big deal musician there and a heartthrob and there'll probably be a general fangirl meltdown for him at the red carpet. In any case, this is going to be fun.
