I think it's that sizzle and steak theory, where if you want the audience to buy the steak/film, you have to get them to believe in the sizzle/chemistry b/twn the leads. But no one believed that the crazy kinds weren't promoting ISTL when they had dinner in front of the press corps at the Wolseley in London, and then let the press run stories about them till the film got no oscar buzz at festivals, and then they finally killed the relationship talk. No more more games! Please, more talk of good scripts! Cumberbatch is playing the lead in the miniseries of one of Tom's favorite books, the Patrick Melrose novels, on Showtime, gosh darnit!
