I'm in a Film Noir class right now. We've probably watched about 24 films so far. My favorite so far is definitely Roman Polanski's Chinatown. If you are also interested in this genre, of dark shadows and psychological drama, of murder and false accusations, please discuss with me! I know a lot about the genre by this point.
thanks for the movie, sounds like i would like it. i dont know much about the noir genre but i would really like to watch more. the first noir film i remember watching a noticed it was noir was Killer's Kiss by Stanley Kubrick, its one of his lesser know films but it has an amazing fight scene at the end in a mannequin warehouse. i recommend you watch it as its one kubricks first ventures into films and a forgotten noir classic
Funny you should mention Killer's Kiss, as that's the movie my class watched today! I agree that the mannequin fight scene was excellent. It's impressive what Kubrick pulled off with such a small budget in that film.
