Instructions for the board are here
I don't think you can disable comments for a specific photo, so he had to just delete it if he wanted the discussion to stop.
At the very least, even if Tom doesn't see the photo fiasco on the internet, I'm sure JVR will tell him next time they talk.
What an absolute mess to start our new board with. JVR is sucked into the vortex that is Tom Hiddleston's love life. Seriously, though he is in the industry and TH was the star of his upcoming movie at the time of all the Pursegate articles. He must have seen that shitstorm and known this was a subject of massive interest. But he posts the picture anyway. What a wally.
FWIW the Celebitchy line on Fassy/ Alicia Vikander is that he never discusses their relationship or even confirmed its existence and she is desperate to say in every interview that she and he are an item. Eg for some recent awards ceremony they didn't walk the RC together but she couldn't wait to tell everyone she and he flew down together. I don't follow them so I don't know how fair this is (TH and his love life is a full time job!) but I found it funny given how EO has always seemed to be the one who Wants This Out There.
>>6 I also don't follow them, but by googling her, Alicia doesn't need to tie her name to a more famous actor to stay relevant, she is having a great moment, lot of recognition and nominees and her own franchise possibly if The Man from Uncle will have a secon chapter.
>>8 you mean that's what she is aiming at, exploiting TH connections, or she has been already announced for something?
The BAFTA nominations were announced yesterday, was HR a possibility? At CB someone mentioned HR and BAFTA but I seem to remember the film it wasn't eligible for this year BAFTA. In Theory TH might be away in Vietnam on Febr. 14
>>8 I reckon you're right. It would give her cred as an actress (probably!) and it would make the booty calls a lot cheaper!
>>9 I think she got good cred from her performences in MMM and ISTL ... it would just be a way to work and be together, esp if the Oz Thor shoot is short.
Also: westend...so yes, cred.
this is a #tbt I imagine at some event/premiere
>>14 why would TH be at the GG? He has no reason to and he starts filming on Monday so unless he can teleport...
Besides, AWKWARD! Boyd will be there for Narcos.
Olly's new BFF aka the director's PA still has the photo up. So Olly surely knows.
Oh what do you know M you might be right after all, he was at W Magazine pre GG party last night, no photos and no EO mentioned in the list of guests, snap!
>>14 I imagine they will still want to be under the radar for a while. They may not yet be more than FWB, and even if they are now officially a thing, it is a bit soon. They have to find a plausible timeline, as I bet they will not want to admit they lied at TIFF, and will pretend that they truly were not together at TIFF and have somehow found love since then. At the present time there isn't much "since then" to play with - Oct to Dec when he has been away filming for most of it.
Just a quick post: tweets about people at TCA16 interviewing TH, so he is there.
I've got a work do tonight, but I'll read all the lovely posts and comment when I get home.
>>19 I am so bad at Twitter. I searched #tca16 and #tomhiddlestn and got zero results! I rely on you for the juice later.
well, even the ReeltoursHawaii dude thought it was Erin they must really look similar.
I'm sure Torrilla will do better than me with videos and photos of TCA, the best I can offer you guys is the link to justjared, they are posting stuff from TCA.
>>20 I got what you meant, and to be honest I still think he won't attend the GG for the reason I gave you, filming on Monday. Actually, I don't know how reliable is that guestfaguest website, you won't find TH listed on the A list on W Magazine website because he is considered a B list actor, so unless we can find another source to confirm maybe he was there, maybe not.
I think we can rule out the GG, his name isn't in the first wave or the additional list of celebs
And yes, I'm posting from the hotel toilet.
From First Look - small but a nice selection. I'm sure Torrilla is on it.
A HL site. Bigger pics.
Ugh. I was going to write a probably too-damn-long post about THEO. But I just don't have it in me.
So all I'll say is: If it can't be 'Ave JArthy' then any girl will do - and EO fits that bill. A real human woman should be his frequent companion - not a pair of boots or his PA.
Now, an important question to end the night:
Do we think TH has had his hair chemically straightened? It's longer but with no curl.
>>38 I've wondered that myself. I doubt he goes to the trouble of straightening it daily himself, so he either has it done professionally or all the years of drastic coloring have taken a toll on his hair. Did you also happen to notice the gray in his temples and by his ears?
>>38 >>39 This is a far more interesting question than who he's shagging. I am saying no to the chemical straightener on balance because the results are inconsistent and at times his hair is still very bouncy and sticks up. See for example the recent LAX IG photo with a male fan. I reckon because he was travelling we are looking at a self-administered blow dry there and it is very different from these pics (which are VERY straight and which I don't like - any man will look receding with his hair blown straight back from his hairline like that. Stylist probably didn't want to let him get away!!). His hair varied a lot in Toronto and NYC depending on who was doing it: for example here it looks very curly: http://freckletriangleofdoom.tumblr.com/post/136075729423/larygo-x-oh-my
He is wearing the same tshirt and jacket he wore at the airport. I despair.
Am I alone in thinking he looks a tad stressed in these pics? He usually looks dreamy and smiley even when not actively smiling but there is a lot more bitchy resting face in these photos.
>>41 yes, a bit tired and tensed, but it'd be easier to judge in a video, photos can be deceiving.
The Hollywood Reporter also confirms the presence of TH at the W Magazine GG Party so he was there and he was flying solo.
I went and recovered the laser-tag photo
I've got to say guys, that this (and the collage photos) is a step further then the BoraBora hand, I mean I thought that when TH walked off stage in Nashville leaving her alone to flap her arms was weird enough for someone so chivalrous and courteous, but here and in the collage he's basically ignoring her!
>>39 Re: greying temples - I see it here (direct link in case you're on a phone) Also, will someone please tend to that nasty looking spot above his lip that's about to pop? http://cheers-mrhiddleston.tumblr.com/post/136916555422/tca-the-night-manager-panel
>>43 You can see the gray coming in on the sides in this pic, courtesy of torrilla: http://ww4.sinaimg.cn/large/6e14d388gw1ezt13q3e06j21lu2bcnpd.jpg
Apparently, this tweet in particular was responsible for those WTF looks TH (and possibly HL) were making during TCA16: http://calgal48.tumblr.com/post/136925441012/freckletriangleofdoom-aishet-chayil
>>48 excellent closeup. I can definitely see that it's grey growing in.
>>51 I know anonsy, as I said yesterday can this man be really that stupid or willing to do all this pseudo PR game for a film that is DOA? A 34 years old man not even knowing how feels about someone he has been friend with for 4 year and fwb for a year so he goes and denies something that he plans to keep on doing? It doesn't make any sense at all.
>>49 I wonder what the tweet was, but this is why this silly situation with EO is problematic, when the time comes to do press for ISTL in March journalists will surf the internet looking for infos about those two, so even if the collage now won't make it to the media, it will still be found and possibly used in the near future.
>>54. It was a photo, according to another post somewhere, but what the photo was of, I know not. According to yet another participant tweet, TH thought it was stalker-y ( though it was not clear if he did or did not use those ). Can't wait to watch the video of the interview. I love Hugh.
A bit more curly haired Tom. It's all in the blow dry - I like this much better!
In my last post, I meant to say, in parentheses, that it was not clear whether or not TH actually used the word 'stalker' or used words that directly implied the reporter was one.
The Guardian today memorably described the Golden Globes as "the Liam Hemsworth of awards ceremonies"
>>59 It seems like he rented another villa. Come to think of it, Olly was staying with TH in Hawaii; it must have been awkward if EO was around during that weekend.
>>60 help a non-native here, is that a compliment or an insult?
>>63 I am assuming it is an insult, LH being a poor man's Chris Hemsworth.
>>61 Nah. Olly would have gone to stay with his PA buddy. TH probably put a tie on the front door and Olly knew he had to make himself scarce. Or, she got her own place and they went there.
>>60 So does that make the Oscars the CH of awards. Shows you how important those are! Christ, what does that make the Grammys? Because that shizza is even more down market.
>>64 and me always thinking the GGs were better than the Oscars because they are given by foreign press.
>>66 You beat me to it due to a grocery delivery. I bet that is how the bromance started.
>>68 Olly in Australia? He tweeted a link to his instagram and it seems like the garden of a villa
Looks very much like the UK to me. Bare trees, wet, mossy paving stones. Bird feeders in the back garden.
>>69 At this point, all movie awards are the prizes at the end of a very expensive and calculated game. The game of selecting the bait-iest film (look for dark, troubled, outsider characters!!) and then throwing money and PR hand-over-fist at whatever body of voters exists.
>>65 There has been the odd thin-on-talent celebrity casting in the West End - for example LiLo in Speed the Plow, which raised a few eyebrows. That said, LiLo has a greater notoriety I suppose. I imagine most Daily Mail readers were aware of who she was and what her story was whereas I doubt EO is really known in that way.
>>74 I think one could spend a lot of time as a fly on Olly's shoulder without getting soaked by the sweat from his hardworking brow. He seems to be less PA than paid companion (of the type that old ladies had in Victorian times, simultaneously lowly and Svengali-like).
Long time lurker, first time here posting. I have't a clue what I'm doing!
>>79 Is that your postcode? If so, welcome, fellow north Londoner!
And if not, welcome in any event! We're not like the others [manaical eye roll].
Thank you Couch Potato, I'll take a look at that. Yes, good spot on the postcode, I am a North London girl.
>>81 Perhaps in a reflection of the anarchic yet besotted spirit of this board, the link is to a comment from Anon. about TH polishing his glasses!!!!
Lady Hiddles and the Paid Companion! That is priceless.
>>79 It's fairly straightforward. The main thing is: clicking on the number of a post will link it in your message box. Or two left facing arrows and the number.
Otherwise, just post your thoughts, any TH links you find, gossip and speculation are more than welcome, too.
EO has a handbag. Maybe she can take care of these items.
>>85 I should have read more carefully ;) There's nothing like sharing a beer with your BFF
>>76 I wonder if she's keeping things open to advance the relationship, i.d., be available to fly to him since he's traveling and filming.
She has been limpet-like (great simile!), however, I don't think it's been completely one sided. He's a big boy, he can say no (behind closed doors, if not in the public eye). But it doesn't seem like he has.
Welcome N8Anon! I guess I'm no longer the newcomer.
>>76 One of the tumblr posters confirmed earlier this week that TH doesn't have anything listed in the pipeline in IMDBPro (more info there than their public IMDB), which seems a bit worrisome, unless he requested nothing be listed for privacy/strategy reasons. I don't have an account, but I'll do some sleuthing and get back to you on EO.
>>93 When did a man last say no to no strings attached, I drop my life to tend to your needs sex?
>>93 goodness until last year he couldn't even say no to his fans and he actually admitted in an interview to no being able to say no, so I wouldn't be so sure.
>>95 His public IMDb at least shows SI and Thor 3 as current or forthcoming, which I guess takes him up to the end of this year. Hers shows nothing except Infinity Wars in post production. Be interested to know what her pro one shows.
>>97 Oh yeah, that's the public eye part - I agree, he can't say no to strangers (you know, the non-confrontional pleaser type).
I do, however, think he's capable of saying no in private and, more specifically, of ending a relationship. I mean, do we think Ave JArthy, full of thirst, (crosses self) ended that relationship?
>>96 He wouldn't! But do we think it's just that (no strings attached rumpy-bumpy), or, more importantly, does TH think it's just that.
She seems invested - even to us - so wouldn't she appear the same to TH? If he didn't want that (sex with investment), I think he'd tap the breaks, so to speak. Or stop the Jag and tell her to get out, as he seems to have done with Ave JArthy!
>>101 Who knows how it appears to him. I would say that various limpets of my acquaintance are quite good at hiding their yearning, because everyone knows that the ticking of the biological clock is not an appealing sound to the average limpet-ee. And I think men are quite adept generally speaking at closing their eyes to limpeting if they are enjoying the sex and the fun. Since they don't even live on the same continent it must be quite easy to maintain distance.
>>100 Possibly, but not probably? Maybe she was hoping for something to happen in tropical paradise that didn't, and then the picture debacle - hey, that one was taken down too - and that seemed the end of things. The thought of her deciding she was too humiliated by that incident to continue the relationship makes sense for other women but...I dunno, does the Blessed Ave JA have a limit to her martyrdom?
>>101 I don't know, it's always easier to judge these things from an outside perspective. We can all tell how invested she seems, but maybe in private she's saying all the right things to keep him around? (This is assuming that nothing has changed since November and they are together, which I'm having doubts about.) And, if he has a hard time saying no to strangers, it might be even harder for him when it's a friend or loved one.
IGN article about The Night Manager with a couple of pics:
I think TH having nothing is far less worrying than EO having nothing simply because she hasn't had anything significant for awhile. Apparently her part in CA:CW is blink and you'll miss it. Even her part in ISTL, while important, is on the smaller side. And as people here have said: she's got to make hay while the sun is shining (before 30 in Hollywood!)
>>103 Martyrdom!! I love it. As you all know, she's a saint in my eyes. Think about it:
Things attributed to saints:
>>99 - EO has nothing more on IMDBPro than what's showing on IMDB, and she's ranked #95. By contrast, Tom Hardy, for example, has 8 listings in Pro - unlabeled or labeled 'script,' 'optioned,' or 'pitch.' He's listed as the #5 actor in the world on IDMB this week.
>>107 Healings - she healed TH's sex yearnings, apparently. (Too thin? Sorry.)
Guys guys, let me remind you of limpet #1: Sian, 1 year attached to his tailcoats and just a friend.
And she managed to break away without an embarrassing photo-deleting episode and tumblr crash. (That was before my time - am I missing something?)
Anyone remember Sex and the City? And the toxic bachelors? And Big's apartment which was like Teflon for women because nothing left by a woman ever stuck there?
Anyway, if you do, I think this is TH in a nutshell: rich, powerful, handsome attentive, charming, always got a woman on the go, not unwilling to see her and hang out, but is allergic to the word GF and never introduces her to his mother. It seems to have been his pattern since he broke up with SF.
>>111 she didn't have photo-deleting episodes, but she attended numerous (more than JA and EO combined) public events with him (google her on google images you'll see). I bring her up because everyone here is Jarthy! :)
>>105 how come that all of his character are always vulnerable?
>>114 She got stuck in the friend zone (in my interpretation, though this was before I joined the fandom). I always assumed he ran away when she made her feelings known as they were such good mates and then - boom! - she disappeared.
We worship the Blessed JArthy because she touched the Holy Conda of Hiddleston and she let us all know she had, oh yes. None of this "people can think what they like" crap. When did the Pope last say that about a miracle, eh?
OMG, my captcha is 'peaner' It's making fun of me.
I think she got friend zoned hard. From what I gathered from her tweets, she went to the Avengers after party in LA with him and they even went on some vacation together where they shared cocktails on the beach together. Then after attending a bunch of events with him and retweeting and following everything of his, she got some hate from fangirls but she braved it. However after his UNICEF trip, she simply disappeared for a year.
They were openly affectionate in public, real bf/gf-like until a paper reported them as married, from what I've read in archives. A few embarrassing questions from the press, and they were over, along with an FB comment of Thank God from her friend.
>>121 A friend of mine, a journalist, swore he was married. She is pretty savvy about this stuff as it is her job, so the rumours must have been pretty pervasive. I never heard about the FB comment. How embarrassing.
>>122 I think the paper that made the error was fairly reputable, so people generally assumed it was true. Tom corrected it in a couple of interviews and SF corrected it on her Facebook, but the rumor stuck around for a while. I'll see if I can track down some screencaps, I know they're on the internet somewhere.
Here's Susannah's Facebook post:
I stand corrected - Thank fuck, they said. Thank you, anonsy.
>>120 that's why I mention Sian, because she constitutes a precedent of "just friend".
For the record TH and SF didn't break up in November 2011 and SF only met Oliver Chris in Febr. 2012.
I don't think this was ever posted but this is a photo of EO celebrating Boyd's birthday in Colombia on Sept. 2014
>>130 She suggests elsewhere it was for copyright violation, which could only be if she had posted a pic to which he owned copyright. The only pics of his on the internet were a few Facebook selfies, and I cannot imagine he would spend the time and money that would require to get those back, especially as they were blogged elsewhere.
>>131 Morning. Same here on the Geolocation stuff, it has me in several different locations through North London or surrounding counties. It's not reliable at all.
>>132 I checked the latitude and longitude they gave, for, completeness, and apparently I am dossing down at Charing Cross station!
I truly don't think he will attend the GGs because filming for Shitty Island starts Monday and unlike Brie he doesn't have a nomination, but if he is still in LA you'd think he'd go to the BAFTA LA Tea Party, instead he didn't. So I'm fairly certain he might already be in Oz or on his way there.
"GUYS I JUST SAW TOM HIDDLESTON AT LAX I CAN'T STOP SMILING HE'S SO B E A U T I F U L "
A bit from Brie's interview in the Daily Telegraph
"Brie is in Hawaii, filming Kong: Skull Island, where she and co-star Tom Hiddleston are ‘running around in the jungle the whole time, laughing like children’. A greater departure from a cramped shed it is hard to imagine. ‘It’s a bigger production than I’ve ever been involved in, in every way,’ she admits."
>>129 Hmmmm, I'm skeptical simply because any official cease and desist letter worth its salt (legal and supportable) isn't sent to a blogger using a blogging site, but to the legal department of the site itself.
I understand that when she started blogging (2011?) Tumblr was a fairly new/small company (hadn't been sold to Yahoo yet). However, they would have still been the first port of call for official legal action.
>>139 You don't need an address these days. Doubt if you ever have - it is all by email. The initial contact for a copyright violation would be from TH to tumblr, but tumblr would then send a letter to the user demanding that they remove the content. I assume this is what the bike refers to - and that she inferred it was originally from TH because the content was his.
>>140 Ahh, I thought that she was speaking about an official letter directly from TH Inc. (Luke, his people, his lawyer). It's strange that she used the word 'letter' as opposed to 'email.' I guess I'd say something like: 'He sent a letter to Tumblr and they sent me a cease and desist email' or 'He reported me to Tumblr.' Her wording makes it sound more direct.
OT story for QAZ (I'm shouting her name, so she hears me!!!):
At the work do someone made a comment about Latvia, but then said 'or maybe I mean Lithuania - they're the same really.'
>>143 Wow, Anon. I'm sitting here kind of open-mouthed and also warm and fuzzy inside :) I'm def glad and flattered that you have such a good opinion about LT, and thanks for educating the ignorant part of NATO ;)
TH who? I have hearteyes for you right now :D
And once again nobody is talking about TH, or Loki for that matter - he has 2 options left in his contract to be used at Marvel's convenience, maybe a small cameo here and one in the Infinity Wars, or both in the Infinity Wars, or nothing at all.
We all love Dottie! She invented the name Pursegate! She made love against an aqueduct with an Italian stud muffin! She rocks NATO with a truly fabulous handbag! Heart eyes!!!
>>144 I will always be the TH to your JA. Or the Domhnall Gleeson to your whomever DG is dating! You complete me!
In truth, my knowledge of Lithuania extends to the three things I mentioned, but I wasn't going to let him get away with it, so I was prepared to make up facts. My boldness was helped by the fact that I'd consumed at least 1/3 of our table's wine allotment!
>>145 I vote small cameo, please Marvel gods, small cameo! In both. If EO is in Infinity Wars and they're filming together...urgh, it will be fangirl craziness. I like gossip, but even I don't want that sort of gossipy craziness.
So, do we think that the text-less pic of David Bowie (what a shock that was!) is the 'new' Seneca quote?
If anything, this might be a smart way forward for his twitter: work/promo posts and the rare picture only post to reflect on a major event. Maybe re-tweeting co-stars tweets, as he did with Brie.
>>148 I've just read an article about IW and the directors Joe & Anthony Russo say they have a board with 67 characters, Thanos against everyone. So if cameo is going to be it will be small for sure.
>>148 Forgot to add, I hope for him he won't be stuck with filming for Marvel for so long.
"Private security guards and a large police presence surrounded the closed set, which was erected about 1km south of Jumpinpin.
Unless they see EO and TH out and about the town. That's how they were sighted in Hawaii, at a farmer's market and I think some cafe.
She's gonna show up. Can't stay away from the Hiddles for long!
>>154 actually EO "was spotted in farmers market " was a post on IG that was just mentioned, there was never any screencap of that post, but even if it really existed, she was spotted there alone, without TH. Don't twist the story
Not twisting the story. On CB the person who had seen the IG posts about the sightings said it was both TH and EO and something about holding hands? Because I remember the IG post person being quoted as saying they saw Loki and Scarlet Witch. There was never screen caps provided for any of the EO Hawaii sightings except for the Twitter one but as we can all see she was obviously there.
>>156 Ah celebitchy. It explains everything. I know what you mean, but the poster was clearly misinforming others about the IG posts. The tweets you refer to were made by a troll account trolling some crazy fan, but everybody agreed that it's very very doubtful that there can be a IG post mentioning Tom and Lizzie and not found by other th fans except one. So, basically, the IG post never existed. The Twitter user Jamie tangy mentioned them as Loki and scarlet witch. That was the only legit - more or less - truthful sighting. More or less, because no one except that girl saw her, and tweeted about it. And it was on 11th or 12th, when crew had a day and night filming, so I side eye that. Lazer tag collage is the only one proof Lizzie was there -on 23rd, and 25th She was already in L.A. giving some kind of award or something.
Okay disregarding the IG one, and going off the Twitter one, claims of EO being in Hawaii did turn out to be true. We may hear about her popping up in Oz and unless there are pics people will probably ignore them or call them trolls or attention seekers until some one accidentally posts something and the truth comes out.
Either way, whatever THEO have, EO seems to be doing most of hauling and going out of her way to do it. Shows the level of investment each one has.
Also was there a video made of the TCA for Night Manager? Have they done videos for TCA in the past?
>>158 agree. Btw Jamie tangy never mentioned them holding hands, just that she saw them. That's all. And again I side eye this tweet too because of filming schedule. My personal opinion is that Lizzie was there for a day or two, perhaps for one weekend, since later after that lazer tag evening we knew and saw photos of TH with his lonesome self when he could spent time with her. Which heavily points to be it was Bora Bora v.2. We all Remeber ehat happened after BB v.1. Lizzie seems to be or was very invested. I doubt she will show up in Oz. But that's me.
But THEO was sighted again in LA after the Hawaii laser tag outing and then that sighting of her in London and her bestie's IG showing that she was in London too. That's why I feel like she might show up in Australia again. I don't think whatever they have is over yet. Doesn't matter though. In this day and age of social media, everything manages to come out in the open somehow. So we wait and see!
>>161 By a gayporndude? But Brie Larson herself said she was having lunch with Tom that day so I go with mistaken identity. Plus this it was somehow silly two right handed people wrapping their arms around each other while eating. Not very handy huh? As for spotted in London - there was a tweet about Tom being in NY at the same day, but since it had nothing to do with Lizzie people ignored it. You see, tweets made by teenagers, gayporndudes and gossip mag journalists (that had their article coming out the same day) are shady. Try to take it with a ... ok, take it with a huge spoon of salt.
Hm, I have a feeling that probably something more than a FWB situation or Bora Bora v.2 is (or at least was) happening. With Bora Bora, JA at least got to have a vacation on a beautiful tropical island, plus the company of course. Now, if EO was there only for a day or two, do you do something like that for a FBW? Waste your time, money, effort to go there for a couple of days to have a laser tag with their current film crew? I know I wouldn't, unless I considered it "worth it", like something you do for a BF (potential BF?) to stay in touch with them.
>>150 67 characters? WTF? How can those films not be a HOT MESS with 67 characters? AOU was messy enough with all the superheroes.
Just a warning, if Anon ID:sddEev2o derails as usual, feel free to go to the moderator thread and report her.
>>161 I don't think TCA events are videoed. At least not in the past.
>>163 I see your point, but I don't understand why people Love to forget the denial at tiff? Some just ignore it as if it never happened.
Now, let's imagine we forgot about the denial. She could have gone there for last try. You don't spent Thanksgiving alone without your GF, when you clearly have time at your hands and do nothing. You invite her to your sisters wedding and go to her sisters wedding. You spent as much time together s you can. You don't ignore her on stage in Nashville making her flap and wave her hands. You don't deny having her in your life. You don't make her follow you but her self to where you are without putting any effort to do the same for her. But you do all the following to FWB.
They are together so I think you should just learn to cope with it and get over it.
No amount of trying to disprove sightings is going to change that, they are together, end of.
The last post was from me and I am not Couch Potato...just clarifying.
All I did was leave the "name" blank.
>>169 hmm no they aren't . Its not just me who doesn't see the meaning of all this. Why are you rude to me? You despise everything I say despite it has more logic then every thing you say just because I say that. And I was polite with everybody. Even with you now.
@171 Not trying to be rude, just honest.
All I am going to say is, I have seen them with my own eyes, and that was enough clarification for me.
>>172 why should I believe you? I don't even know who you are. See you first time posting here.
Original Anon here addressing Couch, Dottie. qaz et al. No post since the heart eyes post to Anon. was me. Been out to work do.
>>174 I wish they'd come up with more distinguishable names. In any case I could tell it wasn't you, don't worry.
>>175 Sorry anonsy, forgot you there for a sec. Blame brain fade after a night in a roomful of lawyers!
>>178 Haha it's fine, I don't get offended by that sort of thing. I assumed that since you didn't mention me I was "nothing to write home about" and you were going to take me to Bora Bora in a couple months.
>>169 Annony, I think most people here do believe they are 'together' in some sort of relationship. The evidence leans toward that conclusion.
I think we like to speculate about what type of relationship, level of investment, etc.
Heart-eyes all around!
It's like Oprah...You get heart-eyes, and you get heart-eyes! Everyone gets heart-eyes!
Do share more! Where and when did you see them? And feel free to add more info that could shed light on the nature of the relationship THEO might have. I feel like it's FWB situation with EO a little more invested in it than Tom.
To Couch, is Anon ID:sddEev2o the firebrenie and JDunn poster who is a lil one flew over the cuckoo's nest? If so her denial makes sense. Actually, there a few other people, some posters on lipstick alley who are also dead convinced that there is nothing going on between THEO. Their reasoning sounds very much like the "LALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU!" type.
Oh I thought it would link to post 172 but it didn't :( how do you reply to someone post? Sorry I'm a complete ditz at this. Is there a link I should read before posting? I was so excited about finding some sane TH fans to discuss this THEO thing with and kinda got carried away in the enthusiasm. Sorry about the confusion!
Okay so it is her. After JVR's IG fiasco, pretty much most fans have accepted THEO are together or seeing each other in some capacity. With the exception of Lex and a few others who ship Tom with either Emma Watson or Hayley Atwell. They're still having trouble with the idea of Tom with an Olsen.
Thanks for the welcome, tried to post this before but it ate the post saying that the code was wrong.
@184/187: It's really not that interesting but here it goes anyway. I saw them last Friday morning at a gas station in Old Pas (Pasadena). Was a little surprised to look up and see Loki getting out of a black SUV, behind him this petite blonde woman got out as well and they stood by the car and kissed and hugged while he was talking to the driver. It was all very quick, I didn't talk to them or go up to them because it just felt like if I did it would have been too creepy. I just finished filling up my car with gas and I drove off. I had heard rumors that they were together but after seeing them in person, I just thought "oh I guess the rumors are true" shrug.
>>187 I agree with you about the FWB thing, and that she's definitely more into it than he is... much like the situation with JA, which, keep in mind, went on for a year and a half and only ended after some unknown explosion in Bora Bora (something to do with the photograph? her favoriting tweets about them as a couple? who knows).
>>193 Well said. Who would want a casual hookup with the risk they tell all to some rag?
I think Europeans have a different attitude to distance (well, Brits do anyway). I have American fiends who would drive 2 hours to get a pizza. If you drive for 2 hours in the UK you are in a completely different part of the country (unless you are trying to cross London from one side to another). I would NEVER drive 2h for a FWB. I'd call that a committed relationship!
>>193 I think it's probably the nature of any relationship with TH that the woman is 'more invested'. He's 34 and is hungry for success, critical praise, award wining roles and all those things actors want. She's 26, seems somewhat ambivalent about her career (start booking those gigs, girl) and started this relationship after ending a engagement/3 year relationship. Of course she's going to be more invested, but who knows, she just may tame the Hiddles!
>>194 It's the TIFF denial by EO that screws it up. I'd rather they just said "yeah we lied at TIFF because you're a bunch of nosy bastards" but I doubt very much they will do that, so they have to now pretend that they got it together after that.
>>195 Two hours for a pizza! Are they from Montana? That has got to be a damn good pizza.
>>192 Seems like he took her with him to the TCA if they were seen in Pasadena. Either she went there with him or hung around the town while he worked.
>>193 You're right. With Jane Arthy, I think she may have expected something more when they went to Bora Bora but he probably declined. Her deleting her twitter and starting all over again was very telling.
>>196 True, especially if one of the reasons she ended her engagement was that she had gotten involved with Tom or even just for the possibility of getting with him. If you end a 3-year long relationship for a shot at something, you're going to try your best to make it happen.
>>196 Maybe, maybe. I've been around the block enough to have seen that with that type of man it is rarely the "endlessly available" girl who does the taming. Men who never have to chase tend mostly to be entranced by the woman they have to chase.
>>199 If she was at the TCA event then someone surely would have seen her. If Annony's story is indeed true then she must have been hanging around town waiting for him to finish. How boring.
>>197 They both sort of denied it. She did it outright, but in a joint interview, he implied it - or at least didn't disagree when asked if they were just friends.
Why or why? They should have said 'no comment' or structured the interviews to stay away from their private lives.
>>202 Okay, now I understand. In Indiana, you HAVE to drive 2 hours for decent pizza.
>>192 Thanks for sharing, Annony!
>>193 Yeah, it was me with the too committal thing :) Sure, the money is not a problem for her, I agree, and she does seem to put more effort than he. But for me it's probably not so much her visit to HI, but the fact that they spent time together with his friends/colleagues, plus all the sightings, plus all those tabloid stories... Of course I can be wrong, it's all just guess-work. We'll have to wait and see!
>>204 Yes I remember. In retrospect his "implied" denial is closer to a "no comment" than people believed at the time, due to her having done the dirty work with the outright denial.
Yes, I agree that "no comment" was the only way to go. Some of the madder nannies are accusing anyone expressing an interest of "acting entitled", but really! You create that sense of entitlement by drawing attention in May 15 to a relationship that nobody had rumbled, and then by pap night and the denials etc.
(Putting this out there, if Tom Hiddleston was my FWB and I had a million dollars and no work to do, I'd sure as hell fly out to Hawaii to see him for a day, regardless of whether or not I thought the relationship was going to get more serious.)
>>207 I swear there was another interview from TIFF where the author mentioned asking Tom if he was single and getting a definite yes from him, but I can't find it anywhere.
>>192 >>199 >>203 If it was Friday morning, the TCA was held at a hotel (a very nice hotel) in Pasadena, so I can imagine that he stayed with her after arriving - maybe she even did the airport run (in that case she is WAY more invested - ugh, the LAX airport run!). His driver picks him up at her place, she tags along, waits in his hotel room during his press work, and then...party time!
>>203 lol that seems to be her thing though. Hanging around Tom to finish up whatever he's doing so they could spend time together.
>>206 Could be a slow burn type of relationship. If he's not hiding her from his colleagues and friends, then he's probably not ashamed of being seen with her. Then it's a regular relationship then that's taking longer to run its course since TH is busy working and can't spend long amounts of time with her unless EO is the one making the effort to come see him.
Oh, and a personal anecdote - I had a good friend who was in a FWB relationship for a bit more than half a year... at least that's what he thought. She was going around telling people he was her boyfriend and even bitched some other girl out for getting too close to him. A mutual friend confronted her about it and she admitted that she had developed feelings for him and thought she could shift the relationship into something more serious, but it went terribly wrong. These were adult people, mid-twenties. It happens.
>>208 Internet high-rive coming anonsy's way! Also speaking truth to power!
>>207 Well, going back to that May 15 article, we had decided that this was EO's work, as USWeekly is her mag of choice - exclusives with her engagement, end of engagement.
Maybe since she leaked, she had to do the outright lying at TIFF when they decided to pull the turtle's head in.
>>212 That's what I've mostly seen in FWBs. One party is usually always more emotionally invested and thinks if they play it cool for long enough the other party will come around and it'll be a happily ever after.
It never happens though. I haven't seen any FWB turn into a stable relationship. I've just seen the guy get bullied or emotionally blackmailed into being with the girl but then it all goes downhill really fast since he doesn't really want to be with her like that.
>>211 It has to be casual/slow burn, just because they so rarely see each other. And there were plenty of times - long stretches - when they could have been together (end of July, all of August), but weren't.
Even if they wanted to throw people off the scent, there are ways to do that while still being together, i.e., vacation to some rather remote place or the opposite: NYC - anyone can get lost in NYC.
>>215 I'm not understanding why. If they are really in a secret boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, why 1) leak it to the press, 2) do pap night, 3) outright deny it, and then 4) be all lovey dovey in public places? I'd even get being caught once by fans, maybe twice, but surely their PR is aware and therefore they are aware too of all the social media sightings. For God's sake the first sneaky fan pic was sold to the Daily Mail! They KNOW people are watching them! If they were really wanting secrecy, wouldn't they be more... secretive?
>>217 Maybe they were seeing each other during then but got lucky and weren't spotted?
I keep getting the feeling they hangout according to Tom's schedule rather than hers. So if he's busy and can't make time then she doesn't visit.
>>218 There are so many possibilities for that article. She wanted to establish their relationship in the public sphere or they both wanted to leak it to get people talking before ISTL (leverage a real relationship). Maybe it wasn't a planned leak, but someone sighted them together and sold the story (maybe someone on the ISTL set?).
>>220 But none of it makes sense to me, not just the initial article. If I imagine it to be any possible scenario, from just friends all the way up to serious relationship, or even some progression from one to the other, everything that they've said and done seems completely illogical. Which is why I always end up circling back to FWB, because that's what seems to best fit all of the evidence.
>>221 If - if - there is one thing we've ALL agreed on, it's that nothing makes complete sense in this situation. But I think that's part of the fun; we get to gossip and speculate as we try to make it make sense!
None of us will ever know the truth until TH publishes his official biography, i.d., the only book EO will ever be eager to read! There will be an entire chapter - or series of chapters - addressing the 'EO Years.'
>>222 LOL that's gold!
>>221 anonsy, a lot of the confusion has to do with the poorly done tabloid leaks and EO's freakout during pap night. If those leaks and pap night was supposed to be their coming out, then someone should get fired because they botched it up. They could've have a great coming out as a couple at TIFF if done right but maybe TH and EO's publicists dropped the ball somewhere.
>>221 Quite. There is one other possible scenario but since it seems to me we have more than one troll posting here at this point, it's just easier to wait.
Kong: Skull Island set
he posted on fb about ISTL
this might be the "new seneca" quote.
>>228 And do you remember after Pursegategate he posted on FB about how grateful he was for all his fans?!!!!! He takes to FB to express his love for us all after any social media storm.
>>230 the limit of 140 character must be a torture for him :)
>>231 I think he used up more than 140 characters just on the HW quotes in that Facebook post.
Wow. What a story. I'm impressed, perhaps >>192 need to start writing fanfiction or something, sounds so "conviencing".
But may I ask why the simple and pure logic cant stand against the specualtion and gossiping? Maybe because the truth is simple and its boring to talk about it and its far more intreresting to talk about non existing things because you can give your fantasy a go?
>>233 lex, I'm hardly your biggest fan, actually quite the opposite, I honestly can't stand you at all, especially because I know they kind of things you were posting last here on tumblr, so I know the level of your delusion and obsession.
But, for once, I wasn't even referring to you.
Morning! I find all of this stuff so confusing!
>>234 At least you admit things I say have logic, I think I will be happy-ish with that?..
But let me ask you this and I really want a reply - as you can see I'm just sincerely curious, because I try to see what some others see. Sorry in advance for long post - you can delete it later.
>>234 just to add to everything I said above: sometimes the easiest explanation is the right one, because you know that truth is always simple. And the easiest explanation is that two grown up people addressed the situation they could ignore ( nobody was poking mics in their faces or chasing them to get an asnwer) and made a statement. We know what kind of statement.
>>229 I've been lurking here since thread 4. I did try posting once, made that error where I left the name field blank and ended up with Couch's name lol. Got caught up with work so I couldn't post for a while but I did come and read whenever I got the chance.
"kermit.de_frogGot to make Lunch for the awesome Tom Hiddleston and had a quick chat."
Well, the collage photo amde it to LaineyGossip
does this mean it's probably going to make it to JustJared?
She has got the wrong story. She says "they were together whe the tabloids called it over"; she should be saying "they were [?] together when they had said they weren't." I will laugh at whatever Michael has to say at Dlisted. Don't know about JJ: will he publish given that JVR has taken it down, implying it's a "private" pic not a pre-authorised pic of EO fondling a carrot at her local farmers' market?
@233, what I saw in front of my own eyes was proof enough for me. shrug
I've been reading this board for a while and I just thought I'd say something that's all. The two people I saw looked like a couple, and that was my impression. I don't know exactly where in their attachment they currently are, if they are fwb or bf/gf or even married. They didn't tell me and I don't have a horse in this race.
>>242 JVR's personal assistant and Olly's BFF didn't take down his regram, since that's the pic Lainey posted it's not private.
>>223 'Dropped the ball' - Okay, so there are two things we can ALL agree on.
Dropped the ball - you think! They dropped the ball, it caught on fire, then exploded (like a Christmas hoverboard). They've put out the fire and - I think - are trying to clumsily glue together the charred pieces. That should work out just fine.
>>235 Yeah, N8Anon, we need some sort of THEO gossip/speculation/theory flowchart. I need the same when watching Game of Thrones: 'Who's that? What's his name? Is he good or bad? Where the hell are they?'
TH's love life is like Game of Thrones, but with fewer dragons.
>>242 Lainey's 'missing the point' story is strange, because SHE herself interviewed both at TIFF and commented on the 'alleged relationship.' She referenced the article we're all referencing (I don't think she herself asked them) and said that while she didn't believe their denial, they had stayed away from each other at TIFF.
>>240 damn he looks delicious there! Also that shirt...it definitely has one foot in the grave, that's for sure. Seen better days!
>>246 LOL! It's not THAT bad. It's just dating. But maybe work out a PR strategy that isn't a throwback to the 1980s? How about that THEO? Also EO probably forgot that even tho she dumped Boyd in Oct and started romancing TH then, the general public all thought the engagement was called off around Dec since the announcement was made in Jan. Let's see what new timeline they'll feed us if they come out as a couple.
>>248 Lainey's probably over it too if she didn't believe their TIFF denials.
>>243 Thanks for your story, Annony. As you can see, some people can't/won't be convinced. Nothing you can do about it.
Stick around and post away!
>>247 Damn right we do! I mean, I'm an educated woman, but the various stories / non stories / false moves and fabrications make it impossible to understand. Maybe that is part of the subterfuge though, just to bamboozle us and they can carry on with whatever whilst people get their knickers in a twist trying to decipher it all.
Anyway, who cares, in the grand scheme of things. Good luck to them, whatever is going on!
>>250 I would agree. I don't read her often, but those pieces I have read suggest that she's got a fairly good nose for bullshit. She not anymore surprised than we are.
Also, she's very savvy regarding status. She speaks about certain people - TH, BC, even MF - as being 'internet famous' and nothing more. And she doesn't seem to sweat over the 'internet famous' stories like those about 'real' celebs.
Tweet until Torrilla.
>>253 The point really is that laineygossip is a well known website, the woman even published a book.
So now other media will be aware of it, as well as the paps.
It basically nullify what they happened at TIFF, maybe the reason behind TH's post, since that facebook page was created in September.
There's a small group of tweets calling for TH to play Bowie in a biopic.
Maybe EO could play Iman.
>>257 She is otherworldly!! So good.
FYI: The Lainey article isn't really being picked up on twitter. I've only seen it retweeted/linked a few times.
>>249 It's probably not that bad - it's NOT hoverboard bad.
On the subject of timeline: If they do go public, I wonder if the Nashville premiere is going to be 'ground zero' for a public relationship. They were terribly cozy - yes, that word - on the red carpet. Those pics would do better service than TIFF and Pap Night combined.
>>259 I'm sensing some latent hostility towards hoverboards. Bad experience with those infernal devices? lol
Yeah the Nashville premiere might end up being the new "sparks flew on the red carpet and everyone witnesses their sizzling chemistry and how cozy the two looked with one another" and they'll use that pic of the two of them where she's laughing so hard it looks like she can't breathe. I'm thinking end of Feb early March for the PR breadcrumb trail to start and then an unveiling of sorts at the April premiere.
I LOVE my hoverboard - yes, I asked Santa for a hoverboard (which is totally not a 'hoverboard' in the BTTF sense, but is still a lot of fun). But I'm side-eyeing it hard because the moment my ass falls off and needs to go to the ER or it sets our apartment on fire - it's over. Love affair DONE.
>>261 Good question! Definitely not books, since she doesn't like reading. I'm gonna go with a purse large enough to cover the entire top half of her body the next time they're "accidentally" at a paparazzi hotspot together. The real question is why fashion-conscious EO didn't buy her BF some new clothes for Christmas - he's still wearing the same three shirts. Surely that must bother her. Though if their relationship is what I suspect it is, she probably doesn't care much about whether or not he's even wearing a shirt.
Nominations for the National Film Awards 2016 Revealed
Weirdly the kermit Instagram guy flipped the pic of himself and TH. The Coriolanus scar is on the wrong side. Here is our hero the right way around: http://cheers-mrhiddleston.tumblr.com/post/137182097737/larygo-got-to-make-lunch-for-the-awesome-tom
>>242 Also, even if we do consider the the tabloid relationship timeline, the "THEO is over" stories didn't come out until after that photo was taken. So technically the tabloid stories about the breakup could still be accurate.
FWB relationships can blow hot and cold - that's the nature of an open-ended arrangement that runs around each other's schedules (personal experience with 3 different time of my l). The difference with them seems to be that she has not been busy since Captain America : Civil War finished filming, so she has more flexibility. So I completely believe that she was in Pasadena and they kept it all on the down low so as not to repeat PurseGate Gate, especially after the collage picture from JV-R. I think there is enough of a friendship there that, once he's finished filming SI and IW and comes home to London to do Richard II (or III? I forget) and maybe Robert the Bruce, will have the chance to gel into a real romance, or find that it's not strong enough.
*(personal experience with 3 different men during different times in my life)
Okay I've been sitting on this since the original post but... Who the hell gets out of an SUV at a gas station to publicly make out with someone they're trying to hide? Who makes out at a gas station in the first place? Why would Tom and Lizzie both be getting out of the car? Were they pumping gas together? Why them instead of the driver? I just don't think that story makes sense.
That's fine but to clear up a few points: I never said anything about Tom pumping gas for the car, it was the driver who did that. And they weren't "making out", a kiss and a hug (he kissed her on the forehead and they hugged, maybe I should have been more detailed about what I saw but honestly it wasn't that big of a deal) and as for reasons why the got out of the car. Who knows, people do get out of cars at gas stations, maybe he had to go pee, maybe he had to stretch his legs? Should I have gone over and asked him? 7 in the am, half assed asleep on my way to work, asking some movie star why he got out of his car. No, don't think so.
Future note to anyone else that happens to see THEO, keep it to yourself.
Lesson learned. Been called a liar, a troll and had words put into my mouth. Lovely.
>>268 I think it goes without saying that like everything on the internet, this story should also be taken with a quite a grain of salt, but... maybe he's not trying to hide her so much? We have a pic with his arm around her in his own native neighbourhood, the PursaGate (in spite of weird facial expressions and purse/scarf antics, they still were in a popular pap-favourite restaurant), now a collage with friends/colleagues. Whatever is going on there, does not seem that he's avoiding to be seen with her in the open at all costs.
>>269 I wasn't putting words in your mouth. I was asking some questions about parts of the story that I found odd and pointing out elements that didn't make sense to me.
>>270 Don't be out, Annony! It's just natural that when you tell something on the internet without hard proof, some will believe you, some not, and people will express their opinions. I don't think anyone has anything against you personally here!
Well, at least I don't.
>>269 don't get offended! But it's natural that when anyone shares a sighting of a celeb, ppl are gonna wanna know details. The details you've shared now give a whole new perspective on the THEO situation than just saying you saw them hug and kiss at the gas station.
>>268 thank you, I didn't want to be the one calling bs, and actually that's not even the weirdest part.
AMC would have put its guest in one hotel and organised transportation to the TCA panel in Pasadena for them to arrive at the same moment. Am I supposed to believe they provided cars without a full tank? Am I supposed to think that TH got to Pasadena and told EO to get lost until he did his thing? Am I supposed to think that all the other actors headed to Pasadena but TH dallied at a gas station? Of course now it will come out that it wasn't on tha TCA day, so why TH would be headed to Pasadena? But even if he rented a car why would the car need gas? Rentals always come with full tank. It's even more absurd then the NYE sighting.
and the shit keeps on going
note how these 2 mentioned the dailymail. Someone has a grudge with TH.
>>276 ugh it just keeps getting worse and worise on JVR's IG. I wonder if he's showing Tom all those comments and going "bruh wtf" or maybe since they're in Australia he'd probably say "wtf mate"
>>277 I wonder of JVR will do like Abrahams and say how TH wasn't too happy of media claiming he was in a relationship with EO and then we'll see JVR walking holding hands and walking arm in arm with EO.
>>276 I don't get the reaction to these pics! That is obviously Brie and the person behind her isn't EO (is it?!!).
I see the other Instagram guy from yesterday has deleted his pic. Poor guy. What on earth have people said to make him remove a nice, innocuous fan pic? It's mad out there in "Tom social media world" ATM.
>>279 I was wondering the same. Is it EO?? If it is, she seems REALLY not like herself from this angle :)
>>278 LOL! Maybe if we're lucky we'll get another disastrous pap walk before that!
Bets on EO actually walking into a pole this time while wailing and hiding behind her old lady scarf/ bag?
>>280 The nose is totally wrong. EO has a much smaller nose. And the person looks like they have short hair under their hat - or it must be pulled back super tight.
Tbh, that person behind Brie looks more like Boyd lol seriously when I first saw it I thought it was Boyd for a split second.
>>283 What a plot twist THAT would be! No it's definitely not EO behind Brie, or anywhere else in that pic. Maybe those posters thought Brie was EO?
the person behind is definitely a guy, no woman would ever wear that beret. I think those posters just wanted to go on about EO to cuase some reaction from TH, that's probably why they mentioned the dailymail.
btw, she is not pregnant, if she were she'd be in OZ with him.
>>286 Totally confused as usual. She thinks this was a recent photo because she does not have anonsy to compare the laser tag pics and tell us it was from then! So she is spinning this idea that they have spent the whole of the holiday season together.
>>288 it's a gossip site so it lives on clicks, at least she made an effort to put the question mark - where she says if this was before of after the Star article.
And no purse or scarf! :)
Annony, please be aware that the Anon with the ID ending in 'sddEev2o' does NOT represent this board or its regulars. She's the one who called you a troll and accused you of lying. She's very much over-invested in TH and his love life. Insults from her need to be ignored.
>>286 Much better than the goth look she pulled at TIFF, was it?
I'm sure someone will say she's trolling fans by wearing that dress.
As for JVR's instagram, that last comment by prufrock1 sounds exactly like - word for word - one of the anons that posts the same crap to teatime, wtf, and the byke trying to rile everyone up.
>>275 Well, if he stayed with her Thursday night, then they might have sent a car to pick him (and her if she was tagging along) and bring him to event at the hotel. They would have booked him into the hotel, but that doesn't mean he needed to stay there - he might have crashed with a friend ;). Then, she waits in the hotel room for him to finish with the press events and they get to have a nice good-bye before he leaves.
>>276 Christ, Christ, Christ. Baby Jesus save this man from crazy-ass fans.
Let's all of us - the sane ones on the board - swear a solemn oath to NEVER become those people. NEVER.
>>278 HA! Just like we had the 'new Seneca' on Facebook, we'll get the 'new Marc Abraham.'
>>287 If she were pregnant, they'd be at the registry office! We'd have had an official announcement and maybe even a tweet about Mama Hiddles buying a hat for the big day.
And, I don't think he would have look so relaxed at the TCA event. That boy would have been shitting a brick.
>>276 I've wondered the same. What skeletons has he got rattling, or does someone hate his PR, or what... Is it because he's of peerage - a class war?
>>292 It probably is the same person. The TH corner of fandom is so small and insignificant. There's really only a small handful - what? 10, maybe fewer - of sites that feature him on a regular basis and in a significant way. So when fan want to scream something from the top of their lungs, they just cut and paste at the same handful of sites.
Evening Standard British Film Awards - the contenders
This tweet is a snap of a Rolling Stone article saying HR will be out May 13 in the US.
>>300 YES! FINALLY! Been dying to see this one!
On the subject of THEO and the clickbait articles, there's going to be many more like this for the next few months. This shit is gonna go down in a glorious fiery blaze and the fans are going to rip each other apart over it. The haters, the shippers, and the Hiddlestoners. It is going to be wince worthy. Riot gear anyone?
>>301 Yeah, I say let those two crazy kids get on with whatever they've got going on! The sightings, pics, DM articles (please, Lord, yes!), joint interviews, awkward/cozy red carpet events and TH (I'm about the work!) Facebook posts are going to be grist for the mill here and elsewhere in the TH-verse.
>>302 Don't forget another cringe worthy pap walk!
I'm not gonna watch ISTL. It didn't appeal to me from the beginning. Maybe The Night Manager but I'll settle for some sexy GIFs. But High Rise I will watch rewatch and buy the DVD!
Same for me about ISTL. I never intended to see it in the theater, but then between the bad reviews and all the THEO stupidity I have no desire to see it at all. I'm definitely watching TNM, and probably High Rise at least when it's out on DVD.
I always thought Celebitchy deliberately writes their gossip that way, because it's CeleBITCHY.
Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston's individual online hits must have definitely gone up tremendously since the gossip sites picked up on the JVR pic and then her appearance at Stella McCartney's last night. That is if their reps are keeping track of trivial things like that.
>>304 yeah, difficult to wtach the film without thinking about the rest. Actually it makes you wonder why would TH keep trying to focus people on the film IF he is doing all these not-so-secret appearances with EO everywhere.
here's a little video of Eo at Stella's fashion show at minute 1.50 something. Just a few seconds really.
>>306 I can't watch him sing without cringeing so I won't be going to see it. I also dislike earnest please give me an Oscar please PLEASE biopics.
Celebitchy was a crazy place last night but there was one comic gem: "Put his soul into the movie? Put his soul into his pants more like."
>>307 I thought she had had some fillers done to her cheeks. What possesses someone of 27 to do that?
>>307 I think you're right about her face... it's more noticeable when she smiles.
>>310 She's also had a nose job at some point during her life, though not recently I assume.
>>309 >>310 are fillers the 21st century alternative of getting a new haircut after a romantic setback?
It's very noticeable in the pap pics like this one
Very sad news.
It has just been announced that Alan Rickman has passed away from cancer.
I am so, so sad to hear this news. I have loved Alan Rickman since I saw him in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (setting the scene for many, many years of rooting for snake-hipped English bad guys in black wigs and swirly cloaks). His work gave me great happiness as a child, a teenager and an adult - there aren't many actors of whom I can say that :(
>>308 I FEED off of second-hand embarrassment so watching him sing won't be troublesome for me. Aaaand, if I watch it, then I can give it a good rogering of a critique.
I don't know if she has had a nose job. I think she might just have a significantly different nose from that of her sisters - their noses seems to be wider than hers, but the angle is the same. Pics of her from before her acting career (there's one with HS yearbook shots of The Avengers cast floating around) suggest it's the same. So, if she did have one, it would have needed to be when she was in her teens.
>>318 Don't know, I saw photos from 3,4 years ago and the nose looked different but whatever, I wasn't trying to shade her, I was just baffled as to why someone already so pretty and so young would feel the need to do something to her face.
Interview with Th and Crowell about ISTL
>>319 Oh, I didn't think you were. And even if you were, that's fine. I like tossing shade myself!
I do wonder if - like with her cheeks - she pulls her nose in too when she poses. I have a friend who can significantly change her look if she pulls down on her nose
And now for some shade!
The DM - my online paper of choice! - was ALL OVER the Stella event. They had a big general article about the event. They also had individual articles/videos on some of the 'big names.'
>>321 everytime Tom talks about how hard he worked on ISTL as Hank, all I can think of is "as hard as you worked on your costar? ;) amirite Tom amirite?" It's horrible I know but it's all that comes to mind, their "sizzling chemistry" and the bad pap walk.
>>323 Even wuss on the fame front is to come. Michael of Dlisted has merely linked to the Celebitchy article with a caption to the effect that EO looks freshly f*cked by TH. He can't even be bothered to write a snarky article about the whole liar liar pants on fire thang. It has officially become boring!
The Night Manager promo trailer
You can tell already there big differences with the book, not a bad thing. I truly hope this is good.
torrilla has also HQ scans of TotalFilm's article about HR.
You all know how to see them in HQ so I won't be posting links.
I am hoping and praying this is good. The two BBC series of the George Smiley novels were so brilliant that this has a lot to live up to in my mind. Have you seen them? They are a master class in how to do a le Carré novel in 6 episodes.
>>329 No! I watched the films based on his novels but not those, I'll try to find them. My hunch after watching the trailer, it might not do so well in the US - but there's always the rest of the world.
>>330 Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's people are both on iTunes. TTSS is much, much better than the film - the plot is too complex for 2 hours and anyway Alec Guinness knocks spots off Gary Oldman. But Smiley's People is even better (you really have to watch TTSS first for the context).
The trailer looks amazing. I wasn't into The Night Manager at all but after watching the trailer, I'm actually looking forward to it! I thought it would have a very outdated wanna be Bond kind of feel and who knows it still might but because of the trailer, I'm willing to give it a go.
TNM looks good. I'm hopeful for that and HR.
The hideous worn looking blue shirt he was wearing in the Queensland restaurant pic appears in the (?) Morocco riot scene of the trailer! Does he ever shop, or just steal leftover wardrobe items from things he appears in?
>>334 It seems like he (or Olly) buys him 2 or 3 of every shirt or pair of jeans that go together so he doesn't have to overthink when he gets dressed. Mix and match in a hurry, for the actor on the run. :)
>>334 the spent all the budget for Hugh Laurie's clothes.
So, EO has a job that doesn't imply following TH around!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Actually I should say that a rumoured job she was already linked to has been confirmed with a different co-star.
Anyone want to place bets on thoikelihood of him visiting her on set?
>>339 nah, my bet is the only time we'll see them together will be for the ISTL promo. If she shows up.
>>339 Highly unlikely IMO. She seems to be the one who does all the visiting, even when he's not working. Wonder if the rumors about EO and Renner will resurface when they're filming together. I know he denied them last time it came up, but as we've seen nobody cares about denials.
>>341 I'd heard rumours he was gay (notwithstanding - or perhaps explaining - his short-lived marriage). I believe she or her people rushed to deny the JR rumours, something else which made me believe that the US Weekly story came from her as she never denied it at the time.
New SI castmates pic from Brie's instagram:
>>343 Nice shorts, Tom. The big question: was this photo taken the same day as the photo with the chef, or has Tom had the same shirt on since he arrived in Australia?
>>345 I believe he buys 2 or 3 of the same shirt to make dressing easier and to confuse people with respect to figuring out the exact date when pictures were taken. JMHO
slightly larger version of the photo
>>346 I do believe he buys several of the same thing as otherwise he wouldn't smell as delicious as those who've met him say. But I don't think he wears the same thing to confuse people - he did it in New York for the CP promo when there was no need to confuse anyone (he wore those black jeans and blue serge shirt about 3 days running). I think he does it because he is a bit hopeless on the clothes front!
This is nothing new, BAFTA 2015 I think, but I haven't seen this photo before and it made me chuckle a bit - TH's duckface! Bonus - googly eyed Luke in the background, as usual.
somehow he doesn't look as involved as he generally is.
Anyway, this might be the director version of "make light of the EO incident" (still joking)
In case someone comes a says EO was in Oz this week, no she was in LA, groceries shop
>>362 By the way, she seems yet again to be able to deal with the presence of a pap without putting her bag over her face.
>>364 she has been able to since after the Star Magazine article at the end of November, when she started to have a social life again [runs] [to] [reach] [Anon]
>>364 by the way, she is always able to deal with the paps in the US, it's only when she is in UE that she has scarf crisis [runs] [faster]
Article about Kong celebs in the mall, believe it or not they even managed to get it wrong, since there's no post of TH about it on his fb page.
Good morning. This is why I check twitter, even on a holiday weekend!
Some HD stills from HR:
>>368 You beat me to it, Anon(.), by 3 minutes. ;)
And, as a reminder, THIS >>368 , went off to Bora Bora with Our Mother of Thirst.
Oh, Blessed JArthy, in the words of Adele...You could have had it AAAAALLLLLLLL.
>>370 bites lower lip I wonder if there was manscaping involved before the shot, or if each hair was perfectly placed by the heavens...
I am tired of my job. I want a job as the magazine placement person.
in the meantime, HR will eb released on Amazon Video before it gets released in theatre n the US so no Oscar run for this film.
>>372 you aim low, I want the job of the person who had to do the make for the body.
But I swear that if during promotion he says he did for equality I might just kill him.
He has no hips
>>368 I apologize. I should have labeled this NSFW, and NSFBP (blood pressure) and NSFP (panties).
>>371 I'm sure the 'body hair experts' - those of 'he definitely shaved his pits and chest for Corio.' fame - are currently comparing ALL evidence and will be releasing their manifesto (crazy theories) on Tumblr very soon.
I have snuck out of an all day meeting to check the board - hence different id.
He is delicious. How delightful to be so beautiful that when you take your clothes off you may be sure you will dazzle everyone with your perfection.
>>374 He has the book to fall back upon as this scene was actually in the novel. And since it was 'nude sunbathing' in the book, he can even blush and claim restraint.
My RAM memory always runs short on weekends, but did we ever call him out properly on this board for that 'equality via nudity' rubbish?
Too right we did. We moaned at length about the "female centric" but in fact totally male fantasy apex scene in CP (no frontal from him, alleged virgin rides astride, no cunnilingus etc).
New ISTL pic. My appraisal: not enough treasure trail - not nearly enough!!!
>>379 Oh, I remember that we raked the love scene over the coals - because it was - what's the word - shite.
But I think Couch just now might be the first to say his 'I did it for equality!' answer as to why he did the nudity was as shite and unrealistic as the love scene itself! We got so wrapped up in the crap love scene that we forgot about his crap answer for why he showed his down-low cheeks.
>>381 I think she did the takedown back then too!
Seriously, he is a bit daft with the old "I support feminism" thing. He spent ages droning on about this at Nuffield I am told. My friend who went and reported back said rather waspishly that it was unforgivably dull because totally uninformative. Is any male celebrity really going to say no, I support oppresssion of women, sex trafficking and FGM? The real question is not whether they express support for feminism, but whether they actually do anything about that other than wear a t shirt.
Good god! I come back after a weekend away and oh my gawd oh my gawd...he is a thing of beauty right there! Thank you Ben Wheatley. Thank you!
Frankly I didn't think Crimson Peak itself was very feminist. It peeved me that they had two strong female characters but they pitted them against one another and over the love of a man who wants to be good in the end but the woman kills him. I see this kind of "feminism" in young adult books a lot and it bothers me that when a female character is strong, she's put up against another female and it's usually over winning the love of the guy or because they both love the same guy.
>>382 you sure it was the Guines field diary and not some interview? Because I remember just a mention of FGM in that diary and it was about some sign they found on the road.
>>386 Couch still had time to post feminist critique of crap love scene between the links. PS still enjoyed seeing his bottom though!
It was in an earlier edition of the field diary. He met an old guy who was campaigning against it and said he was "profoundly shocked to hear there is such a practice"
>>387 multitasking person that I am. PS the bottom was the best part of course.
Thanks, and yes strange he wouldn't have known of it.
>>385 I had forgotten about the Bechdel test! I remember it being dismissed by a fair few mainstream critics because it was 'championed' by a lesbian - and a cartoonist at that.
Hmmmmm, I wonder how many of TH's movies would pass?
>>387 In fairness, I think most unsavory aspects of life would shock him. He's very worldly in some ways (education/travel), and very sheltered/inexperienced in others (the nitty and gritty of life). Just look at his twitter experience - most people would have been more guarded, less trusting, knowing that not all people are inherently good-intentioned. Not TH, he happily opened himself up like a tin of baked beans for all to see.
Australian Open tennis has just started ... finals weekend in 2 weeks. Wonder if JVR will give Tom the day (or two) off...
>>391 Yes, but the point is you did learn about it because it is not infrequently discussed in the media, whether in a tv show or in factual articles. There isn't a mainstream newspaper in the UK that hasn't run an article about it, and the Guardian, his favoured paper, has run several in recent years. It is also regularly raised as a major issue by several charities and women's pressure groups.
This seems recent
"empiremagazine#TomHiddleston tells us what #Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has in store for #ChrisHemsworth's 'comic gift'."
>>392 Oh, hell no!
If he shows up with EO, I will completely Lex-out! I will. That jumped-up FWB better not try to out-Wimbledon my Queen of Wimbledon.
>>393 I think a lot passes him by, especially gender-centered issues like these. He does live in a bubble of sorts.
I reckon he's the sort of man that would look at a tampon in the same way he would look at a space alien.
>>394 Nice, Couch! Well the shirt only made its first appearance in September, so it would be after that. It seems he's promoting HR, so maybe it's media work he did in the new year while in London - all guesses.
>>395 JArthy was so extreme. Remember that fan video where Tom was buying postcards and she turned to the girl with the camera phone and was like "ARE YOU FILMING ME?!" and then dramatically covered her face with a giant hot pink scarf? Sigh... those were the days.
>>398 Anotjer scarf face lady! I had forgotten. I do think it is really off to film somebody when they are in a shop. I half expected that vid to end with the Jarthy leaping snarling onto the filmer!
If EO shows up in Australia, I will laugh so hard!
I loved that JArthy video! And the brazen fan goes "yes yes I am" LOL! Tom and his FWBs. I wonder if he picks them BECAUSE they have large scarves they can hide their faces behind. Nothing gets Gom hot and bothered like a large scarf.
Gom? Lol Tom*
>>396 If you showed him a tampon he would clutch his pearls and faint.
I think he is naive in many ways. At Nuffield he was apparently spouting a load of utter crap about access to the arts and saying it was easier to get into the arts from a poor background than my line of business (law). Actually the Social Mobility Foundation's latest report on access to the professions said that the law was by far the most open of the professions in the UK. He does tend to rush in where angels fear to tread.
WHAT? Was there a Scarf-Face before PurseGate? And that Scarf-Face was JA?
>>404 Is there a universal sign for giving a blow job? Now I feel naive!
>>405 Girl, get with the program! I knew this BEFORE I knew what FGM was...thanks, American education system!
>>408 I have never seen any British person anywhere do that ever.
>>406 Oh, sweet Jesus! Even Hitler is stunned by the all-powerful, all-consuming Ave JArthy.
Truly, she was a treasure. Gone but not forgotten. (Bow your heads and observe a minute of silence.)
>>409 Hmmm. I did it a few times when I was over there and no one questioned what I was doing. What the hell?!? What did they think I was doing?
Do the British have blowjobs? Maybe it's just an American thing? (Joking.)
>>411 It's obvious what it is intended to be. But I have never seen any British person mime giving a blow job. Well, you learn something new every day.
>>413 Use it during your next all-day mtg. You KNOW you want to.
>>414 I cannot tell you how tempting that idea is. Would also work in court as it would not be recorded on the tape! Long ago there was a Court of Appeal judge who, if he disliked a submission, would hold his nose and mime pulling the chain of an old fashioned toilet cistern. Now I can update that!
Interview with Corey Hawkins, this was 2 weeks ago, here's the bit about Skull.
"Okay. Have you met King Kong, and if so, what is he like?
>>416 Could it be good? Could it really be good? Could Shit Island turn into I Actually Enjoyed That Movie Island?
Mind you, they can always save it - and ensure box office success - with a single line from TH's character: I'm going to have to find this magical youth potion naked.
An article on 'Brilliant and Average Biopic Casting.'
I won't spoil the surprise as to what TH as Hank Williams scored.
Thor 3 = Midnight Run, so says Mark Ruffalo. Will be shot in Sydney.
>>418 They have some staff writer at the Radio Times whose panties are permanently wet for TH but who has a media outlet for her crazy fan ramblings. I think this is she...!
Skull: article in Vietnamese that gives dates about when they will wrap up in Australia and start filming in Vietnam
This is longer than expected and makes the promotion for TH a bit difficult.
>>417 I hope so for them, moving production to so many locations for so much time is probably costing a fortune. The budget for advertising and promoting this film will make the total amount even higher, so they'll need a huge box office success to just break even.
>>423 Another source said filming would be until the end of March. Either way, one would assume that TH - as a key character - will be filming right up until the end of production or very close to it.
Remember when Sony said they were pushing back the release date for ISTL because TH couldn't promote it in Nov., i.d., it got arse fucked by critics? Well, that cover's blown as It sounds like he'll only have a week or so for US promotion in March - if it happens at all.
With schedules shaping up, I'm putting my 100 virtual bucks on an EO Oz appearance in the first two weeks of February!
>>425 yes! I remember us discussing this at the time. Isn't it also going up against quite a few big releases in March? I still think they should have let it be a charming imperfect little word of mouth movie. Unfortunately it was marketed with a lot of words from Somebody's rather big mouth. "I put my soul into this movie." No. Be quiet.
>>426 I suppose it depends on how much rehearsal she has for her new project and how much publicity she needs to do for the latest Avengers snooze-fest. I have little idea about how much time these things actually occupy. It is an article of the TH nanny faith that he is always incredibly busy, and that when we don't see him for months he is giving interviews or doing endless photo shoots or researching his next project. I have a sneaking suspicion that actors do a lot less between projects than people think and that there is quite a lot of mooching around not doing very much. So we may see EO visiting Oz for a birthday shag...!
>>426>>428 I'll join that wager. I think EO will visit TH in Oz and I'm hoping we get a tweet AND a pic of it. Preferably of the two together cozying it up so we can sit and watch as people dissect their body language and present theories about "platonic friends kiss on the mouth with tongue all the time with their arms tightly wound around each other!"
>>429 Oh this is curious, according to this girl twitter she lives in LA, so either she is on vacation in Oz or TH is in LA.
>>429 never mind, as usual I missed the #tbt tag. I'll never learn.
>>433 No you are not being silly. Guessing by the outfit and the very straight blow dry this was taken in Pasadena. So the "#tbt I met TH but I was too cool to post this pic at the time" pose lasted about 2 weeks!
>>427 Lesson for TH: 'Soul' does not equal decent dialogue or script.
>>436 I'm starting to think he had his hair straightened. In the mall pics from Oz, it is straight again. Would he have thrown on a wrinkled shirt, cargo shorts and vans, but blown his hair out? Are they blowing it out everyday while filming?
>>435 I'm thinking they've probably given up on pushing ISTL on the international front. Hank W. is niche enough in the US. In the UK - Hank who?
Even with the TH fanbase - which always overestimates its own numbers - I would expect a very limited UK release.
>>434 Coach, even if there's a sighting, pic, sex tape - I'll still give you all the virtual bucks!
>>438 I still don't know! He wore it long and straight at Henry IV time - in some obviously home made straight but not very good blow drys. This was in the days before he was really into manscaping so I doubt he had it straightened then. It may be easier to make it straight when it is a bit longer, as now.
Looking again at the Pasadena pics. Not my favourite look. His hair looks like straw. He looks much younger and happier when riding his angry bird!
>>441 I think the HC look was the remnants of the straightening he had for Avengers. He did confirm that it was a chemical process for Avengers in an interview.
Going to try to find it.
Not sure what sort of 'sources' geek.com has - could just be the office Magic 8 ball, but they've got some 'exclusives' on Thor 3.
>>444 I have skim read this and I have one word: marijuana.
with that heat he was running with pants?
"Tom Hiddleston is pretty awesome😍✔️👬"
>>440 thanks! There's a lot already happening next week, fashion week in Paris for EO, Australian Open men's single final for TH.
>>446 Looks like TH wasn't running - he is wearing Vans I think. And a t shirt with a hole in the neck!
>>448 oh you are right, I confess I hardly looked at his shoes.
Actually now I look closer the t shirt has another huge hole at the waist seam and the jogging trousers have a hole in the pocket seam!!!
>>450 haha, true! He seriously needs new clothes.
This tumblr blog has a schedule of TH's upcoming events, some of those are pointless - who cares about DVD release if you live in a different country? - but it saves me from doing it.
Wow. His clothes are literally in tatters, and not in the cool distressed worn out look kids are wearing these days. Why doesn't EO get her shag buddy some sexy casual wear? Maybe she's the one ripping his clothes to get to that deliciousness underneath! ;)))
Torrilla has another pic from the same time of him with a girl. There is ANOTHER hole in the t shirt near the v of the neckband!
Just a quick warning. My work IT people have told me that I picked up a Trojan virus (fortunately quarantined) from the web. I looked at the page and it was a tumblr page - couldn't identify it. So I checked that computer's history as I normally check tumblr on my phone. Lo and behold the only tumblr pages I had looked at from that machine was the bicycle. I know some on here heck in periodically - you have been warned....!
>>457 That v neck is so low it is below his chest rug!
>>458 thanks M for posting links when you find them
Shit Island will shortly have an unexpected boost: the next film starring Oscar winning actress, Brie Larson. May save it after all....
>>461 Yes. While taking one or two posed photos is fun we have now seen a gazillion pics of "Brie and her crew." I imagine the fun factor decreases with time!
>>459 Thanks, I always visit her blog using a proxy-server that blocks almost everything, but I'll do a scan just to be sure.
New trailer for The Night Manager.
The Night Manager will have its World Premiere at Berlin Film Festival within the Berlinale Special Series.
TH cover and interview in the Observer magazine tomorrow!
>>468 yep, but dear Daniel (the photographer), was it really necessary to make his face of a different colour from his neck?
Tweet here. Not informative but has nice pic! https://mobile (.) twitter (.) com/G_Whizzz/status/690853772554280960
>>469 I see that so often with his pictures. Is no one telling him it's obvious? It looks like the world's worst makeup job.
"Graham Norton S18E16 Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Sir David Attenborough"
>>469 Is he maybe self-conscious about his skin and insists on too much makeup? I find it hard to believe any self-respecting makeup artist would let this happen. It's a pretty basic makeup person skill..
It's not the makeup. It's called melasma.
It's not melasma. Makeup for photo and film should take care of that and even out the skin tone. I've noticed that whenever Tom gets his makeup done by Amanda Grossman, his face is a darker tone than his neck. She tries to "bronze" him up. But when he hires another makeup artist, he never has this uneven makeup problem. When he was doing his CP promo and then was in San Sebastián for HR, his makeup was so much better. When I checked, sure enough he had another lady, Sally something doing his makeup.
This seems to have been taken post HI filming, so he's had some pretty strong sun exposure. He's tan, but also appears to have some slight reddish brown patches (melasma) on his forehead - you can see spots of his usual, more pinkish skin scattered above his eye and near his hairline.
>>477 oh god that's horrible! I live in SoCal and wish I could send some sun your way but unfortunately you'd get the drought with it too!
We need more photos of Tom in holey shirts! With EO's eye peeking out from one of the holes. She's going to show up in Oz just you guys watch! But we'll get confirmation much later. Either photographic or slip of the tongue from a reliable source. Like Bora Bora and JVR's IG fiasco. I don't think EO is done with TH by a long shot. And maybe neither is he ;)
>>477 Can't tell you how many times I wished I had snow shoes when I lived near NYC.
Thank you for the explanation-I know nothing about melasma. I have noticed the pink areas on his forehead, and assumed it was from scars.
I think Tom has some sun damage on his forehead, and his hairline has receded just a bit since it happened so the skin looks splotchy sometimes. I do agree >>477 that the difference in color between his face and neck in that photo is probably due to tanning while filming.
>>478 This is my first NYC Snowmageddon. I missed the one in 2010. It's nice. The city's strange and beautiful when all the people are off the streets!
>>479 Some are scars, but the spots are - I think - the areas not affected by the very low-grade melasma (which is just darkening of the skin due to sun damage). You can really see the sun damage in the HR hi-def pic. Look at his face compared to his neck and his body. Mind you, wouldn't kick him out of bed for it.
>>480 I wonder when they're going to get in ISTL promo.
There were about three weeks between HI and Oz filming, but I think a great deal of that was for the holiday.
The observer article is already floating around: Torrilla, twitter, tumblr.
It seems to be an ISTL piece, complete with a pic of the couple.
>>483 Charming and delightful! And of course, he paid for the interviewer's meal. Ever the gentleman.
I enjoyed how EO was labeled "ISTL co-star" in the photo.
>>483 >>485 The interview mentions ISTL but the strap line at the bottom is "TNM starts on BBC1 in February" so I infer he was doing the interview at the behest of the BBC not as part of his contractual obligations for ISTL. I wonder how much more publicity he will actually do for ISTL. I mean, they had the premiere in Nashville and a lot of promo then. Interviewers are probably holding back material from TIFF or maybe from earlier - a lot of the promo material for CP was from on set interviews.
>>485 I particularly enjoyed that costar bit too.
Overall, the interview was like deja vu. All about his Eton and Cambridge background and his privilege, and all redundant basic info about his upcoming ISTL and TNM, and how Tom always reads for research, for both work and interviews. Can't these guys ask better questions or does staring directly into Tom's baby blues short circuit everyone's brains?
>>483 Interview was done at the restaurant where he was filmed by the fangirls between Christmas and New Year.
I thought it was so sad when he was talking about being sent to boarding school. He is too loyal to his parents to say but he pretty obviously hated it. Boarding school is still common here from age 12 but you have to be a pretty dysfunctional parent to send your child away at 7 if you don't absolutely need to (eg diplomatic service). His parents lived in Oxford and the boarding school they sent him to was in Oxford! I could not live knowing my child was 2 or 3 miles away and was unhappy.
>>487 At least we learned a new nickname for Tom - I think we should all call him "Uncle Yay Monster" from now on.
>>486 and the twitter follow of this journalist happened recently, so I think the interview took place between HI and Oz.
>>488 I thought the same, that's why when people read he was with a woman he was firting I tend to think: "interview".
>>492 I wasn't at the point in the interview where she mentioned the name of the place where they were eating but yeah, Jan 3rd.
I actually think it was a different occasion - the journalist mentions he was wearing a gray t-shirt, but his shirt he was wearing in the video at Côte was definitely white (I'm almost positive, anyway). The restaurant is near his home, he's probably there often.
>>494 Was it? I could only watch the video once so I don't remember really. So Côte wll become the new G&W for delusional fans?
It's white but kind of grubby looking! Restaurant is about a 15 minute walk from his house, past a lot of other much closer and more discreet places (Côte is a chain and has a lot of tables squeezed in. Exactly the sort of place you'd go I you wanted a fangirl to photograph you).
>>496 Thanks, I knew there was a screencap out there somewhere.
I read the interview again and I despair slightly. She says they talked about Graham Greene and Plato, and yet she devoted nearly a page to telling everyone how he followed her first on Twitter. It is lengthy but strangely uninformative. What would you make of it if you had never heard of him and were reading it for the first time?
>>498 it's not on par with the ElleUK's but yes the journalist didn't press too much, so the result is bland. But that's a common theme, even in this interview in the end you don't end up with much http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/oct/08/tom-hiddleston-interview-crimson-peak
>>499 I get the feeling Tom does more research for some of these interviews than the journalists themselves - if they don't do enough reading up on Tom beforehand they won't even realize they're asking all the same questions and putting all the same information in an article for the hundredth time.
>>486 I would imagine it was for the BBC, given that it's in the Observer. I do wonder however, since it is fairly ISTL heavy (several paragraphs and pics), if he/Luke/Sony/BBC (whoever else), are trying to kill two birds with one interview.
So, I can't tell, did he go to Eton and earn a double first?
In all seriousness (I know - on this board!), I have a journalist friend (I think Anon does as we, so maybe she can back me up on this point!).
>>502 That was kind of what I meant. It isn't the place you would go if you wanted a quiet lunch by yourself or with friends. It's usually heaving.
>>488 I wonder when his family moved to Oxford, because I thought at one point he said they lived in the Cotswolds. Some one will remember if that's correct.
I know the Cotswolds are close to Oxford, but perhaps they were there when he started school and the commute was too much...so off he went.
>>488 I wonder if he was bristly (you're right, it did seem that way) because of the twitter comments. She said that after he followed her, she was deluged by fan messages. By the way, his response to his fans' behavior was hi-larry-us! Shaking his head politely (and probably bashfully!).
>>505 If the commute is too far you send your kid to the local village school - and the Cotswolds are so moneyed the state primary schools will probably be more than fine (lots of involved parents). Or you home school.
Just a personal view. I know one person whose parents sent him to boarding school at 4 (jeez) and he is nuts. I think it does real harm before adolescence. I thought that was the one revealing part of the interview. Sniff. I know what you mean about the hug. I think it explains a lot about his friendly but distant demeanour and about what we see of his relationships.
I must be really cynical then because I thought it was a nice touch mentioning the boarding school and neglected childhood bit as a way to get sympathy on the whole posh boy angle that the reporter kept prodding him with. It bothered him because he does say clearly that yes inequality exists but how about we not hold me alone as somehow the sole instigator of it.
>>508 Never feel bad for being cynical - we like them that way around here.
And, sure, boarding school at such a young age probably did affect him in a not-completely-healthy way, but he survived. We all survived the dodgy choices our parents made when trying to do right by us. My mother feathered my hair (but w/ a lovely, long mullet) when I was 6 - it was disastrous, several years of school photos were ruined, and it earned me the nickname (which stuck until senior year) Big Bird (because my hair actually looked like Big Bird's!). I know I was sent away to summer camp (under the pretense that 'it was good for me') for two months every year. I hated it, and hated my parents for doing it. Yet, I'm in a stable, loving relationship, I've never been arrested, I'm able to function in the world (though not when there's a new foot of snow outside).
>>508 I didn't read it that way. The interviewer asked him about what kind of child he was and then if that changed when he went to boarding school. So he didn't bring it up in response to the questions about access to the arts.
>>507 I think for his parents - his father especially, given his background - the best education would trump most other factors. Moneyed and involved parents aside, they probably thought Dragon was a much better choice than the local primary.
>>511 I am sure they did what they believed was right. The eternal conundrum of private education is that people who went to state schools and became financially successful want to put their kids in private school, even though they succeeded without it.
>>510 And can we talk about inauthenticity!
What kind of child were you? Quiet and playful. LIES. He was probably a monster, a curly haired monster. Quick-minded children usually are - they're skilled at conjuring up naughtiness and getting away with it.
It starts off with him a jab of "it's certainly working well for him" and follows up with how he started boarding school at seven and went to Eton followed by another jab of all the big Brit actors certainly seem to be Eton or Harrow and then you get the whole class inequality thing from Tom after which the reporter seems to get a bit soft hearted and ask if going to boarding school affected him as a child.
>>513 we all know "quiet and playful" really means mischievous af! Just like how "quaint" in the real estate lingo really means tiny house LOL!
So, the Irish Examiner - not a rag by any means - went with this headline from the Observer article: "Eton educated Tom Hiddleston says class debate in acting is 'socially divisive'"
The edit of the article is all boarding school and posh actors. Ugh.
>>516 and now we know why Tom was bristly in his Observer interview. The way he went on the inequality and social class thing, I'm sure that reporter kept poking and prodding him about it and we just read Tom's polite way of snapping. I doubt she's going to put down what jab of hers finally provoked that response, of course. He's too British to Freddy Mercury snap but I believe we read him snapping at the class thing in The Observer.
Sorry Freddy Page* snap not Mercury. Well we can tell what I have on my mind.
>>517 "Too British" ? Something of a stereotype. Unfortunately the British are as rude and aggressive as people of any other nationality. If TH is too polite to tell a reporter where to stick it that's down to him and not his nationality.
>>520 True. And he's always been the non confrontational type so I don't think he's ever going to tell any reporter to back off with the class and posh questions.
All this time I thought he'd gone to Dragon school in daytime only - not boarding. I thought he lived close enough for it - it's in Oxford.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi on how he’s changing things up
[...] “But that’s what I’m going to really concentrate on, really make an effort to change the entire thing,” he continued. “For me, I want to treat this as if it was the first Thor film, so we’re going to redo it. You just have to flip it and freshen it up, like anything. It’s also part of a very well-established universe right now, but that’s why they got me.”
The recording studio is in LA. Don't know if he's there now, or this was when he was there pre-Christmas or post-New Year.
>>524 Well, based on the kid's Instagram, it seems like he usually posts his pictures right away. And Tom's hair looks like it looked in the holey shirt fan selfies a couple days ago... so I'm going to go with new. Second guess would be when he was in LA for the AMC event right before heading out to Oz.
I think he is back in Oz today. JVR posted an insta-piccy of Australia Day (today) showing a tall, skinny dude wearing something that to be frank, only an Englishman would be seen wearing in a classy joint like the Gold Coast.
>>526 Which picture? I didn't see Tom in any of them.
>>527 Just looked again... only tall person in the pics is John C. Reilly, unless JVR took pics down. If Tom is back in Oz already he's probably sleeping off the jet lag.
This was also posted a few days ago but it's from the AMC
Someone asked the kid when the photo was taken, I doubt that he'll answer.
h the kid also posted on twitter
Empire Magazine March 2016
>>529 Ah, I was looking at the one of the man in the hat from behind, which is Reilly - he's wearing the same hat in the group photo, plus you can see his hair. The photo you posted is definitely Olly and his buddy.
>>534 apparentely that studio is specialize din voice over work, so it could be commercials for TNM, but it would make more sense for this to have happened during the AMC's TCA week. Not matter how long the weekend, it's still a hell of a flight just for some studio recording.
Another article about T:R director: http://www.wired.com/2016/01/taika-waititi-thor-interview/?platform=hootsuite
"At the moment everyone's trying to figure it out, like "what's he [Loki] going to do?"" Witty says. "Everyone loves that character."
>>536 Maybe it was during the AMC weekend after all? A lot of people are still posting photos and videos from that weekend, could be the boy's pic was a couple weeks delayed.
>>538 Yeah, I saw an anon on another tumblr blog yesterday that referenced something we'd said here just a couple hours after we'd said it. I think it was sent by one of our regular trolls, but I could be wrong. In any case you're right, this isn't exactly a "safe space."
>>538 A garbled version of what was actually posted. The irony is that we all admit we read the bicycle from time to time) nor have we dismissed all the material out of hand (eg the Kitchen Door of Doom tweets).
However I take your point about trolls and our visibility generally. I have thought for a while that we had the odd visit from trolls other than our one regular.
>>541 Really? Which part of our ramblings was deemed worthy of a wider audience?
I also imagine lurkers are to be expected because those who post links (rarely me, I can't take credit) sometimes get them first. For example Anon. posted the kid's IG several hours before Torrilla did.
I found you guys through a Hiddleston tumblr so this board is more well known than you think. But I don't think most want to post on here since no one here feels too strongly about Tom's love life but still enjoys gossip without getting too serious or overly invested in it. Which is exactly what drew me here!
>>545 I found the board through a Google search; for what, I can't even remember. More recently I wondered how visible we were and searched for "TH messageboard" and a few other things and it didn't come up. I know we have maybe one person who posts here and on CB and I think a good few more lurkers from CB. There were some striking similarities between one or two of our comments on Sunday on the Observer article and CB's yesterday.
>>548 Did you Google search "The JArthy, FWB Queen of our Hearts" because I'm pretty sure that would lead you to this board and nowhere else. ;)
I've been here for a long time... I was one of the original DataLounge rejects. I'd found DL through a Google search for something Tom-related, it was so long ago I don't remember what. Then everything on DL went crazy, someone started a thread on this board and linked to it on DL, and now here we are.
I found this blog through google and I'm one of the lurkers tried to post here twice i hope this one goes.
>>534 I dont see any mystery. Perhaps it was possible to do it now and impossible to do it before or later, and we know that Tom is workaholic so that explains everything. BTW the cropped out person is another kid.
>>550 Ah thanks, Instagram is the one social network I'm hopeless at navigating - I didn't even see the tags. In any case, it's not Tom in the pics which is all that matters.
>>549 I remember you saying that DL moaned about there being too many TH threads! I like it here because there are only a few of us and we know or get to know each other quickly - and because as NewAnon said it's not too serious. Combined of course with crazy flight of fancy speculation about the Jarthy etc!!
>>551 you're welcome.
But it doesnt mean Tom isnt in Oz by now or actually never left it since he arrived in January. I just compared the photo from that kid and TCA pannel Tom and it looks the same to me - just different t-shirt. Wasn't he in L.A for two or three days? Or we dismiss the fact that he changes his clothes X) And I will even go deeper, the kid posted photo on isntagram and only 11 hours later on twitter. Plus, two days ago Olly was in OZ - he posted a photo of lighting and there was storm where they were ( again, if we dismiss the fact that Olly isnt following him around all the time) .
>>553 Yeah, come on, kid! Inquiring minds need to know.
>>546 Just looked and that sounds like our most regular troll visitor.
>>540 Waikiki talking in another article about forgetting whatever happened in the previous Thor films, made me wonder if Marvel might be thinking about a reboot of this franchise with a different villain. This new article where Waikiki, who apparently has very clear ideas for Thor and Hulk and the new villain, says he doesn't how to use TH though everyone loves the character, makes me think I might be right.
>>556 this was me
Yes, my warning was really that things are not just being read or reported, that comes with the internet, but they are now used by fangirls personal agendas (see lex) or by trolls (see the post I linked). That is what makes this bbs not as safe as it once was.
>>544 This group can totally twitter, tumblr and IG with the best of them. I think it helps that Couch and others are 'ahead of the game' in terms of time zones.
Also, we're a smart group. Most of us are educated cookies who know how to find info AND analyze it. Couch should be working for Google with her links (maybe she is!). Anonsy should be looking at pictures for the CIA (maybe she is!).
>>558 I guess all we can do is keep on doing our thing. I care less about other reading the board and commenting on our comments (ever decreasing circles). I care more about trolls coming here with fake sightings and/or promising gossip on which they never deliver and/or having one of those ghastly internet arguments in which they cannot agree to disagree and insist on having the last word - usually about matters which are pure conjecture on all sides.
>>546 This actually sounds like our regular lurker (sometimes poster). If you noticed, the last time she posted, her language was much improved but still a little wobbly in certain areas.
The 'exuse me' and 'wtf.' The capitalization of 'IF.' Also, the tone is very her, isn't it. Plus, as others on here have noted, she takes her show all over the cyber-place, desperate for someone to see the light (pun!) and agree with her.
>>559 "Purgegate" I find delightfully Freudian ;)
How is snowpocalypse? Are you keeping safe and warm?
>>555 I'm making my way through the bumper crop and responding as I go along.
Just saw this (after writing a too long post on it!) and second Anon's opinion. A HARD second.
credits to Torrilla
It's TH offering a walking tour of CP's house.
>>564 I think it's new. I don't remember the "I'm feeling your boobs" hand gestures from previous clips!!
And I so miss his hair being like this. I wish someone would tell him not to straighten his hair or cut it so short. He looks on that Observer cover like it has receded a lot which I would think is unlikely in only 2 years. Better when it is longer and all fluffy!
>>565 I thought so and I checked, it's from the bluray/dvd's bonus feature
>>538 Oh, Anon, stop using your work computer to try to find TH porn!
The submit to TBC misinterpreted Anon's message (are we surprised). Anon didn't say TBC gave her a virus, she said that she only goes on tumblr to view TBC and picked up a virus.
>>548 I found this place through a google search and a lot of floating/links around cyberspace. And I have NOT looked back. I used to lurk at LSA - no more; there was a little too much drama there. I don't do CB (veranda hate) or the Tea blog (too many serious social issues going on there - I like my internet time light).
>>549 That will bring it up!
Additional search terms that will lead to this board:
>>568 I didn't even say that! I am an avid tumblr viewer, though a lurker not a poster. It's a good place to snaffle up the odd bit of stuff that this board or torrilla didn't get. But 99.99% of the time I use the app on my phone, mostly because I find the website and everybody's themes too busy. Heaven knows why I accessed the bicycle from my computer. I don't even remember doing it - possibly following a link from here? I was quite surprised to see it was the only potential culprit but having found that out I wasn't about to keep the information from everyone else on here. Who knows how it got on her page. I doubt she is responsible for it.
>>562 I survived - that's all that counts! The boy was working pediatrics in the ER over the whole weekend (A&E) and he said it wasn't too bad, mostly people slipping on ice, hurting themselves while shoveling/snow blowing, fender benders (even though there was a travel ban).
>>572 Jaywalking isn't a crime!!!! In London, as you will doubtless recall, we regard our entitlement to throw ourselves into the road wherever we damn well please in much the same way as some Americans regard their constitutional right to bear arms.
>>556 I hope you're right, Couch. I've said it, I'll say it again, I'm happy to have him parachute out of Marvel with only a few more scenes. Time to say bye-bye to Loki and move on.
>>573 I know what you mean, but, technically, it is. Jesus saw me breaking the law, and he asked his friend black ice to learn me a lesson! And I done learned it!
When I arrived in the UK, I got a welcome pack that included a pamphlet with The Green Code Man - is that right? It was all about crossing the street, using zebra crossing points. I'd just come from living in Boston where jaywalking is enshrined in the Constitution, so I threw the pamphlet away thinking, I am an Ameri-CAN and I CAN cross wherever I damn well please. You don't own these 13 colonies anymore, Blightly. And then I nearly became a hood (bonnet) ornament on Shaftesbury Ave. I quickly became a zebra crossing devotee.
>>575 The Green Cross Code man - familiar from public service announcements in my very early youth. You are very compliant. Most pedestrians in London act surprised that if they walk under your wheels you might actually hit them!
>>575 PS I am more worried about Jesus knowing that I looked at a picture of TH nekkid on a sun lounger while I was in the same bed as my beloved husband!!
Frankly, I'll be glad to see Tom finally done with Loki. Its time for people to see just how much hotter the blond Tom is than the greasy inky haired Loki. Also I am so sick of Tom saying Loki is misunderstood and of Loki fans making excuses about Loki murdering people on earth. Goodbye Loki. It's been real. It's been fun. Just hasn't been real fun.
>>548 I found this board via a random Google search for a picture of TH's parents (as in, what do the parents of such an odd creature look like?) I lurked here for a few weeks before posting.
I don't visit CB or LSA; I have a tumblr to lurk there too for pictures. I find the wide range of ages in the fandom make for weird collisions of thread content.
>>566 I think The Observer and its photographers hate TH. They were responsible for this previous in-depth profile of his forehead.
>>580 That Observer photo from Sunday was not good! Compared with the pretty curls and not apparent receding hairline in that white shirt photoshoot we all loved (the one where he is up to his ankles in leaves). They make him look like he has receded half an inch in four months!
Small and short, but some nice TH moments. His vocabulary is a little ridiculous - all the 3 dollar words!
>>582 I know I've seen it half a dozen times, but that picture from CP of him standing at the top of the stairs in a tophat is striking - breathtaking, really. fans self
Anyway, re: Thor 3 and Waikititi, I'm glad to say the slow goodbye to Loki, if only to not hear him go on about it in interviews over the next, what, 3-4years until this phase of the MCU is over in 2019 with the Infinity Wars.
>>554 No response from that kid X) But my gut says it's new photo, taken recently. Though I am suprised that there were no sightings of Tom in LA, LAX or anywhere around. The practice tells me if 99 out of 100 dont care if they saw him, there is always this 1 who will tweet and make everybody know they saw him. Unless it was a very short visit and he slipped in and slipped out unnoticed.
Radio Times today about TNM
>>584 yeah, I wasn't expecting one :)
I can't really say just by hair and clothes, but like someone said (you?) it is/was National holiday in Oz, that he might have gone to LA for business it's fairly possible and that kid seems to post as soon as things happen, so let's go with the easiest explanation: very short business trip.
Ok nothing special but it might be interesting since we know that Tom's twitter is work-related for 99%.
I just noticed he followed Tobias Menzies https://twitter. com/TobiasMenzies . Couple of days ago he wasnt following him for sure. I dont know who he is but looks like a theatre actor. In Almeida. ( isn't Tom's ex Susannah actress in that theatre btw?) Can that mean that we have to expect more theatre work since its getting obvious Loki will have a smaller part in Thor?
>>588 Tobias Menzies is in TNM which may explain the follow. IMDB says all 6 episodes so TH presumably did come across him in filming.
The Almeida isn't a repertory theatre where actors join the company and appear in a range of productions. The Royal Shakespeare Company does run like that but most London theatres don't. They just gather a group of actors for one production. SF may have appeared in a particular production at the Almeida and so may Toby Menzies but whether together or not I don't know.
And here is JI claiming that Richard II would be filming after TH's three movies after Coriolanus. We are now some way beyond that juncture, and it hasn't happened. I guess one of two things: there was no actual commitment, or there was an agreement to do it but some problem with funding meaning it has been kicked into the long grass: http://hiddleslokid.tumblr.com/post/96863166310/tom-hiddleston-in-talks-about-the-role-in-next
>>589 thank you. I just looked at his twitter and seems like he is in some kind of production now. It is strange that Tom followed this guy right now but not when they started filming or at some stage.
I get it now about Richard II. It's sad, I always thought Tom is a classiccaly trained actor and his place is in theatre and in movies like High Rise, not some Hollywood crap like Marvel or I Saw The Light or Skull Island.
>>590 Three movies: CP, ISTL, TNM. But did he know back then about SI? Perpahs the Skull Island appeared suddenly and wasnt expected by Tom or James Ivory? I rely on the latest interview that surfaced during TIFF where he still was positive about that project.
>>592 I think that TH confirmed he was doing SI some time second half of 2014 when according to JI he had already agreed to do R2. I doubt he would have accepted SI if he had already committed to R2 - unless R2 had some issue that meant it was put back, hence my speculation about funding issues.
>>591 PS he is a bit weird with his Twitter. He followed some New Orleans goth girl in about March 2015 who I think I worked out was a makeup artiste on ISTL - it is odd to follow someone like that after the production at a time when you will probably never see them again.
I was surprised to see that EO did not fly to Paris to attend the Dior fashion show on January 25. TH being in LA at the same time might be the explanation.
>>595 actually there can be a lot of explanations. We dont know if he stayed in L.A and we even don't know if the photo is recent. But as Couch and I think - it was a very short visit and he is in Oz by now.
As for EO - she is getting ready for her upcoming movie - that can be the most logical explanation.
>>586 Couch, I won't have this reasonable explanation, I just won't.
Here's the real truth of why he went to LA...from one of my sources.
>>596 "might" is the keyword here. How do you know he is back in Oz?
>>597 I thought we decided to keep that one a secret!
>>597 I'm here to back up your sources and say that he also visited several shops to buy new clothes - to celebrate the twins. And he also ordered a big cake for EO. The cake is pink with black chocolate gates carved on it and it has scarves and purses on its sides. There is a writing under the gates " To my beloved co-star and friend " .
Besides, her movie was announced in May, so she's had time to prepare for it.
>>595 If she indeed missed a fashion show for TH...it is the truest love that has ever been. Expect wedding bells by the spring!
Actually, and I can't do the research at the moment, but did her sisters' 'fashion label' - yeah, I'm putting that in quotes because of reasons - have a show in Paris? I think she tends to rock up when her sisters are showing, i.d., they pay her way and bag other invites for her.
>>598 how do you know the photo is recent? How do you know he stayed in L.A ?
( back to serious conversation) Do we know the names for the twins?
>>596 well, Couch doesn't know if he is back in Oz, likely since it seems today they went back to filming, Couch only thinks that lacking any additional information that was the only thing that could be deduced.
>>595 Fashion week isn't over yet. Anyway, EO can't decide to attend a fashion show, generally it's the brand that sends invitation, and pays - though big names are likely to get one if they ask and her sisters certainly help. And they don't always invite the same name, unless that particular celeb is linked to the brand.
>>602 they had one in Oct. last year that EO attended
>>607 are you trying to say that Tom might have any other reasons to be in L.A except shagging EO? NEVAH!
He can't touch the blessed ground of California untill he is married. No way. Even then how will we know that the wife isn't his beard and he isn't secretly seeing EO?
Well considering how Lizzie darling follows Tom everywhere, I can see her skipping out on a fashion show to spend time with him. But more likely, it might she's prepping for her new movie. They start filming in March so she should be prepping for it.
>>610 I never said that TH went to LA for EO only. If the picture was taken on Monday, he obviously flew there for work. But if he was indeed in LA, I doubt they missed the opportunity to spend time together.
>>607 EO attended the Dior shows at the latest two Paris Fashion Weeks. That's why I dared speculate about that.
And if he let her know of his schedule in advance, she might well have turned down invites to some shows to see him. Most of us would in a similar situation.
>>613 I know that's why you mentioned it, don't worry, I was just pointing out that the reason for her possible absence isn't necessarily connected to TH being in LA - provided they are still seeing each other.
>>616 Given her love for TH's singing, this would be on Anon's 'How Did I End Up in Hell' Christmas list.
>>614 That's exactly what I meant. You put it down into words better than me!
Evening all! You lot had a lot of coffee today! I step away from the computer for one day to work (novel I know) and I come back to all this!!
>>618 If I wanted to listen to the songs of Hank Williams (which I don't) I would buy a Hank Williams CD.
I look at the new pic Torrilla just posted and think He is just so well put together. Just so fucking beautifully put together.
When you look at some people, you think That person is working his tits off to look that good. Gym sessions, trainers, only Chia seed water and salads made from vegetables grown in the mountains of Tibet.
>>620 And you call yourself a fan!! You have to download the soundtrack, and you have to go see the movie 4 times. And you most definitely have to tweet him with heart eye emojis and Oscar statue emojis and tell him he's the best actor EVER.
>>621 I think about that sometimes, with all his talk of cake and puddings and pictures taken at Five Guys, and then I want to smack him. Maybe that dance he does all the time has magical fat-burning properties. I would add it to my workout routine, but I don't like looking ridiculous.
>>623 Now that is a very sensible suggestion. Of course nobody knows anything, but I do sometimes wonder about using that fandom staple, Globe Trotting Tom, to explain every anomalous sighting on Twitter or wherever, when some must be mistaken or bogus. We know he sometimes does long haul trips for short stays (eg Evenng Standard awards Nov 14) but the idea that he flew back from Oz to LA for a couple of days presupposes an almost preternatural stupidity on the part of his diary manager (OK, it is Olly here so anything is possible). He was in LA to promote TNM about 3 weeks earlier and nobody said, oh, we have some voice work to do while you're here? And instead he waits till his doubtless much needed national holiday long weekend off, and instead of another ride on an angry bird gets to spend a total of 30 hours on the plane (I looked it up - evidently I can contrary to my previous wailings....!!)
>>623 >>624 indeed you are both very right, and what you said Anon was what I wrote at first, that it made more sense to have done this during the TCA weekend. But there is so much confirmation bias floating around about him and EO that of late I don't have the energy to keep pointing out everything that doesn't make sense.
>>615 Since I'm new here I might not have a saying, but it seems I'm the only one that believes that Tom and Liz arent dating. I can believe they hooked up, but that could happen only because Tom went too much method X) ( he addmited this himself he was too emerged in Hank's world) and Liz could take his passion for real. I can totally believe they were FWBs for a while and she ran around the globe to chase him and try to get something but I can also totally believe that Hawaii journey wasnt arranged by Tom, nor she was invited by Tom and by all evidences I read online she wasnt staying there for long. Let's be honest the only prove we have is the photo from JVR IG, and it tells me she got there for a weekend, and then went back to L.A to give out some awards. I won't mention the weddings spent apart, Thanksgiving and months apart - I think it was said here before me. It also seems to me that fans were demanding the explanation and when they got it, they stayed unsatisfied because that wasnt what they wanted to hear. Asking " What is going on between you two" they meant " Tell us you are dating" and when they got
>>626 oh for god sake, you are not new lex, crawl back to your twitter I'm bloody tired to have these incursions of yours all the time. And don't pitch me in with you.
aidenlewandowski@kirsip_ Yes he was there for Night Manager...Im working on a different project.
it seems I'm the only one that believes that Tom and Liz arent dating - I meant here on this board.
>>625 Exactly. It's so silly that I will go with the most simple explanation - FWBs that probably are done. Somebody said on Tumblr Liz was "Janed" and "BoraBorad" X)
>>627 What? I have no idea who Lex is but check my ID and IP before accusing me.
>>630 which is what you said the last time I wrote that cabbage anon was you.
Oh, he tweeted!
I wonder how he even finds tweet to answer with the amount of people he follows.
HighRise UK tour schedule
>>632 He must have notifications enabled only for certain people.
>>631 Did you check it? I really want you to do it. I really love that board and don't want to argue - I just laways thought it was a safe place to voice an opinion and not be accused. If somebody said smilar things before me it's not my fault... Unless the person you mention lives in the attic of my house we cant share an IP I guess, so please check my ID.
>>635 apparently I have to say " they are dating" to sound "sane" for you guys... Don't get me wrong but it's funny dont you think?
>>635 me too, I didn't say anything at first hoping she'd go away, but I was sure that Anon. and anon1 latest posts would set her off.
>>634 indeed, but considering the number of journalists and colleagues even checking those must take some time.
>>636 Lex, your last 2 posts have different IDs so that isn't the best argument! I assume you are posting on a mobile phone through 3G (not wifi) which has a dynamic IP address, in the hope that we won't work out who you are.
>>640 the country i post from is the same.
It's really sad when you guys try to look level headed and yet accuse me in being someone I'm not. It diesnt add credibility to the things you say.
>>641 Yes, "anonymous1" has had six different IP addresses in the past two days.
Lex, in my line of business there's a saying that the cover up is always worse than the original wrongdoing. Same applies to you. You came on here and pissed a few people off by being abusive. Since then you have come on here under half a dozen different names and what you've said hasn't always been that bad. You subscribe to a number of theories about THEO that I don't share, but that's the nature of Internet message boards. What is seriously pissing people off now is the cover up. Please have the balls to post as yourself and let others on here decide whether to engage with you or not, rather than trying to pull the wool over our collective eyes - which only ever works for a short period.
"[...] The film crew will arrive in different groups and at different times, bringing along technical equipment and food, he said.
>>644 it wouldn't work anyway, lex NEEDS people to agree with her view because otherwise she wouldn't be able to keep believing the delusion that is her prophecy about marrying TH (she actually posted that last year at the bycycle). Sooner or later she is always going to flip out, that's why she can't be part of a board like this.
>>633 I saw screencaps on tumblr of some tweets from the HR twitter account about the tour and how crew members will be attending the Q&A, but they deleted them. So TH might be also be doing some HR promo in March.
>>647 JFC and i thought you were sane...
Ok I get it. Different opinion aka " they arent dating" isnt valid, people or agree with you guys or they are "Lex".
>>649 and this is what I meant, we are talking about you and you make it about TH's love life.
>>650 I lost the track tbh it's hard to keep it once you talk to people who cant get over facts. But it proves to me that you guys are exactly the type " agree with us or you are a troll" of people and its sad. Really sad.
Just wanted to add that for example the last asks at WTH anon on Tumblr and she herself are LEx too. And the FBF tumblr is Lex too, and all the other people who actually take the word and believe Tom are Lex too. Wow. This Lex person is a legion!
I read this board for such a long time. And i want to say to all this stupid chickens who talk shit about Tom. His not with Whoresen! he is ALONE! Stop spread shit about him, you are fucking insane people. Use your brains people!
Skull Island is really shaping up to be one hell of an expensive movie. Just like Crimson Peak. I hope the writing and plot execution is better in Skull Island though. I want to see Tom petting and being cuddly with Kong! Or just a gorilla. I just wanna see him with a fan running about a jungle studying weird animals and being cuddly boo boo with them lol
Tan! I wanna see him with a TAN running around the jungle. Not a fan! Goddamn you autocorrect. Goddamn you!
>>654 no, when she wrote at the nw3anon blog she went as SouthLondonAnon, and at some point last July she started her own tumblr blog as SW3Anon.
>>654 but a fan would be so much more funny, with the right feathers.
Very expensive! But for actors it must be nice to do this on location instead of using a green screen.
You: "He's running round the jungle with a fan."
Lex: "I told you I was with him and you didn't believe me!"
>>659 I laughed MUCH harder at this than was necessary. I'm not proud.
He tweeted again!
Let's see, first TNM, then HR, next is ISTL's soundtrack?
This morning I got distracted, clearly, and forgot to add that I think the schedule given by in this news >>646 makes much more sense than this one >>422 and it's more or less what the Australian media had also reported, that the shooting in Oz will last till the end of Jan and then move to Vietnam.
>>665 CP only looks like it didn't bomb if you pretend the producers spent nought pounds nought pee on marketing. That movie was marketed to death. All those attendances at SDCC and the like.
Maybe it will make some back on the dvd rights? I recall the posts Anon. made about it not having been released in China although the subject matter would be very popular there. They have certainly added some good extras for the dvd from what I can see, to try and make it worth buying.
>>666 The bluray is certainly appealing, good job in that sense, but going by that poster's explanation, if a film bombs at the theatre "it takes at least two years on average for a film to start generating revenue for the license owner".
>>667 Yes, I saw that. I didn't mean it would suddenly break even now, more that the blu ray might start the ball rolling. I think the poster said most movies break even eventually - I guess through a sort of slow burn purchases and tv rights and so on.
For those who like Lego Loki. This is INSPIRED: http://www.brickhighrise.co.uk
>>668 But surely there must be films that bomb even in the dvd market and in that case how do they break even?
But what a strange business, it's basically debt economy.
>>670 That's why investing in film financing companies has been so popular as a form of tax avoidance in the UK!
"Tom Hiddleston Is Flirting With All Of Us In This Exclusive Song From “I Saw The Light”"
New HR poster, plus 4 stills:
For the record: right now, my IDs are:
u1vu1eqv - when I'm at home on my computer; this one is steady

Sneak screening of ISTL yesterday. Poster is a reviewer. Are they screening after more edits? https://www.instagram.com/p/BBGg9oAM9v5/
>>676 What are the options? It's either a screening after more edits, or maybe just a screening for reviewers to get their write-ups ready for March. Seems a little early for that, but I don't know how they usually work those things. I'd be surprised if they didn't attempt a re-edit after the TIFF reviews.
>>678 Maybe it's a case of taking out some scenes. The Bradley Whitford "interview" scenes were widely panned and the story could work without those.
>>679 good point, imdb says the film is 2hours long, if they cut it's going to be a very short biopic.
It's utter rubbish obviously, at that birthday party for Jessica her Italian boyfriend was present, there's a photo of the three of them (which CB made a post about btw) and JC denied those 2013 rumours the day after they were published. So, yeah CB wanted clicks.
But - wearing the conspiracy hat for a moment - what it's really interesting is that for the second time Star has an article about TH where they are shading him. (the first is of course the Nov. issue about him dumping EO)
Outside the comic crowd, TH isn't so popular in the US, so it hardly makes sense for Star to use him to sell copies. The fact that the narrative is about him going after a woman who is in a serious relationship sounds familiar.
Let me add that JC was already dating her Italian boyfriend in...2012 I think, and they have just spent NYE together, so this article is about TH.
>>684 it was an eye-opener for me as well, how they are even allowed to publish is beyond me.
>>686 I see the link goes through to CB - which says "we all know it is not true but MAYBE". Laughable. Someone pointed out that CP is just about to come out on DVD....I did admire the refreshing cynicism of that observation!!!
>>687 Some of them said as much when Star published the Nov. article just before the ISTL trailer. However, having an article published to promote his work, where for the second time he comes off as a douche defies credulity.
Is Tom ignoring Lizzie and not returning her calls? Is this Star article her revenge since one of his movies DVDs just came out? And it's the same movie that had everyone gushing about how absolutely gorgeous Hiddles and Chastain were looking together on the red carpet? So much so that Lizzie darling copied Chastain's body language and personality for the ISTL Nashville premiere in a cheap imitation and ended up looking cringe worthy instead with all that seagull flapping on stage?
>>689 November's article was actually worse, maybe because it was right after laser tag night.
>>690 Fresh off the heels of Tom ending whatever they had and maybe finding Tom flirting with his pretty cast mates and ignoring her was too much.
The Star article shades Jessica Chastain at the end too by making it sound like she was using Tom to make her bf jealous.
That crazy unbalanced moron just stole all our responses! I'd get angry but it's too hilarious! I'd say she stalks Tom but obviously she doesn't if she's looking to message boards about TH for validation and verification about her crazy notions.
New hot Dr Laing adjusts his tie pic: https://www.instagram.com/p/BBIiJX8EeIk/
>>693 yep. Familiar grammar mistakes-check. Overreacting, emotional-check. Etc. Argued with her too many times as SW3.
I quit tumblr today... again. I had unfollowed all Tom-related blogs some time last year, and then a few months ago thought "why did I do that?" and followed several again. The past week has reminded me why I unfollowed in the first place. Tumblr fandom is kind of insane and very few people ever make any sense, so I mostly just end up feeling really annoyed, and it's a waste of time to try and reason with anyone. So I quit. It felt good.
So Andy Murray, great British nope, is playing in the finals of the Oz Open tomorrow . Any self respecting supporter of British tennis with the means and money to be there cheering for their man, will of course, be there.
oops. "Hope" not "nope"
>>700 Great British nope sounds more like it. I am afraid I find him a miserable tosser!
>>699 I would like to see TH at the final though. Will he be wearing (a) a 3 piece suit or (b) a t shirt and sweatpants with holes in them? Either way my bet is that his hot date will be...Olly.
Tom partying at a night club in Oz last night:
>>703 Any chance he's chartering a private jet back and forth to LA? Or too expensive?
>>704 Would it save him that much time to make it worth the additional cost? Also although I am sure he does very nicely financially I doubt he is in that league.
>>703 Two things: (1) same outfit as Comic Con; (2) dad dancing!
>>704 or he could go the other way, via Asia to Europe.
have a laugh at this
first the girl from the Observer ingratiating herself with TH's fans https://twitter. com/elizabday/status/691365170728341506
>>706 Ah, that same tumblr girl said he was drumming on a beatpad, so not a dance.
>>710 Ok he is forgiven. Grooving in place while standing at the bar - not ok!!
Anyway he wasn't at the SAG awards last night (Brie was). I am sure he could score tickets at a lot of these things if he wanted (see the Daily Mail's piece on all the women's dreadful dresses - there are some real nonentities attending). The allure of a weekend in LA is not that strong.
>>711 nor is the will to invite someone over, someone who missed a wrap-up party for the second time....Aargh I said I wouldnt' comment again!
>>709 She is deluded. The widely held consensus (cf comments on CB write up of her interview) was that it was shit!
>>713 it was a bland interview in terms of contents, if you read her replies in to the comments to her tweet she promises she will post about Plato and the rest she left out.
That CB post was terrible, I stopped reading the comments the second time I found a red herring, it's a list of logic fallacies.
>>714 Not to mention being full of class hatred and envy of his achievements. Even if he found it easier to get into Cambridge because he had been coached by his school, getting a first shows he would probably have got in anyway. One of the posters referred to his father having "accumulated" wealth, as if he had just found it on the street instead of being a poor Scottish kid who made a successful business!
Murray lost in straight sets so if TH was there he must have had a gloomy day. Have been scanning daily mail for pics of audience but can't find any.
>>716 you beat me to it!
So far I haven't seen anything on instagram, and Torrilla hasn't posted anything as well.
I can't imagine him being in Oz and not going to Melbourne to see the final, maybe he's sleeping the off the night at the club, or he is already on a plane.
>>709 what was Lorraine Candy's reply? It looks like she deleted it because the link doesn't work anymore.
>>718 the link works, anyway this was her reply
"Mmmm .. They really took against me once when I accidentally mentioned a secret girlfriend! #trolled"
>>719 Tends to support the theory that the JArthy was indeed introduced to Lorraine as GF. I vaguely recall that at the time she had to eat dirt and withdraw the tweet or say she had made a mistake or something. Before my time - others will remember!
>>720 Considering what happened after, I think either it was her assumption or she meant girlfriend as girl-friend, which was what was written in that ELLEUK interview months later.
>>721 That was what I originally assumed but since she now says "secret girlfriend" I think she is trying to get out there that she was right.
>>722 If that were the case, then TH saying there was "nothing home to write about" first was offensive, but most of all saying very clearly that he was single in that Evening Standard interview (the one with the ducks) was not only a lie but taking his own fans for idiots.
Which is why I wrote that Lorraine did it again, the moron.
>>722 There's also the list of event where she wasn't present, like the Olivier Award - big thing to miss if you are a gf. Or TH having fun with girls at the Crimson Peak wrap-up party 2 weeks before BB. I mean if Lorrain was correct, it doesn't make him look like a nice guy, in the least.
>>723 Hmm, well JA was seen with TH 3x after the "nothing to write home about" incident: once meeting him outside the Donmar after a performance, once in the BFI bookshop when that fan filmed them, and at Bora Bora. That to me says they were in some kind of relationship during that time.
>>725 I'm guessing that Donmar you refer to is the photo of him walking and there a blond lady on his left? That was Lorraine. This is one of the echo chamber of the time, like the one about Lara Pulver going with him on a date the day after Wimbledon to divert attention from JA.
>>719 Thanks! Strange the link doesn't work on my phone for some reason.
She did the hashtag troll lol is she trying to stir the hornet's nest?
Here they are - some screen caps from the BFI video and the pic at the bottom is taken very near the Donmar. Some fans suggested this was a journalist (of course!) but it was taken after a performance - a bit of an odd time to meet a journo, and also the height, the hair and the body shape are right to be the JArthy.
>>726 the lady outside Donmar turned out to be Annabel Brog, the one who did his ELLE interview.
Considering how many of the ELLE ladies are Jane's friends, I have no idea whether she was really Tom's gf or someone trying very hard to make the world believe she was when it was all casual.
>>728 the BFI one is Jane but one fan on tumblr lonelledon did a whole investigative thing and found it was Annabel Brog because she found a pic of her in the exact same outfit as that Donmar one. Down to the handbag. Astonishing what these girls can uncover. Unless Jane has the same outfit. Which is possible!
>>728 Yes that's the photo I meant, no that wasn't JA, it was Lorraine. JA's hair at the time wasn't like that.
Here's the link to that photo with a bigger resolution
>>729 ELLEUK pseudo journalists are all jumbled together in my brain :)
>>733 LOL! They're all Jane's bestie's so you know they're all Tom fangirls anyways. Probably how he got that ELLE spread. As a makeup sorry for "accidentally" tweeting about girlfriend Jane.
>>724 maybe that's the point? To show he's not a nice guy everyone thinks he is? That he's an uncouth cad who broke darling Jane's heart and took away her honor! That scoundrel!
For the record, I don't think she was a gf. But I think she tried very hard to be one or at least appear as one.
>>730 I only ever heard of it being Lorraine - if you google her, when her hair was longer it was ash blonde and straight so it could never have been her.
Even so, when TH was saying he was single or his love life was nothing to write home about he was hanging around with JA - in what capacity who knows, but as a long-term something. Assuming we only see the tip of the iceberg, he is spotted around with so few people that to be spotted with her on several occasions suggests to me that they were together a lot more in private. I don't blame him for lying in a way, when you see what happens to the crazies as soon as he gets a GF.
>>736 I don't know how others found out but I found vacation pics and group outing pics on IG of Jane and some of the ELLE women. This was before Jane got her own account there. There is also Edith Bowman who was a mutual acquaintance but probably more Jane's friend. I say that because after the nothing to write home about interview came out, Edith deleted Tom's TIFF pics from her IG, even though she was interviewing him in them. She used to tweet back n forth with Tom too but hasn't in a long while.
>>738 I didn't know about Edith Bowman being a mutual friend too, the one I remembered was another one, at the radio with Olivia Coleman in May she spoke well of him. Not that she would speak badly of him on the radio.
>>739 I remember a pic showing up on tumblr of TH chatting with Edith outside the G and W. So much time has passed that I can't recall if it was during the Coriolanus run (early 2014) or early 2015.
>>707 True, could also hop over to visit his older sister and niece in India.
>>711 A year ago I know he was hoping he would be there last night for the sag awards for ISTL or CP. Poor guy, but not his fault.
>>739 the one where she called him a tall happy lovely puppy? Yeah that was Edith Bowman interviewing her. Edi posed with Tom for pics at the WhatsOnStage awards so public facing its all nice it seems. Deleting his pics from TIFF from her IG seemed odd to me( mind you she was gushin over him in the caption about how charming and handsome and lovely he is) until I figured out the friendship and nothing to write home about timing. Could be a different reason altogether but I feel like it may have to do with Jane because Edi kept all her other pics from that TIFF.
>>731 So for this post: http://hiddlestonandtom.tumblr.com/post/84322959921/redskye572-inspired-by-hiddles-december
what you're saying is - the woman in the white jacket is Annabel, the pink scarf is JA and the one of the fur-lined parka hood is also Annabel?
>>742 yes, yes, no, the parka girl was just a customer.
"Vietnam has a powerful and unspoiled beauty: King Kong movie's director"

Another version of the same old "Hwood A-lister is gay blah blah" with TH and JC at the front given the "pining" language: http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2016/02/mr-x-blind-item-2-76.html#comment-3636265
I would not guess him to be gay; bi, yes, but not gay. If I'm wrong then hey, call me naive.
>>745 It'll be interesting to see if CH and Waititi can finally move Thor beyond Loki's shadow, story and character-wise.
Elizabeth Olsen looks mighty tan in her recent outing:
I cannot bear to link to this, but Empire magazine tweets that TH fans are voting for him for both Best Actor and Best Actress in their annual poll.
>>750 A tweet that is both sarcastic and shady at his fans. :) And they proudly reply with embarrassing glee.
It's a shame that many of the girls invested in the Loki/ Prince Charming image are too young to see HR.

"Tom Hiddleston's 'I Saw the Light' to Close Sun Valley Film Festival "
"Director Susanne Bier on Tom Hiddleston TV Series ‘Night Manager,’ ‘Serena’ Regrets"
"Russell Brand, Benedict Cumberbatch and Gillian Anderson return to Letters Live "
>>760 Well, so much for the Letters Live mailing list! Not a word in my inbox about this. I looked on the ticket website and plenty are still available - but at about £80 a pop, or £130 for "premium" seats. Ow. If TH wants to talk about access to the arts that might be a starting point.
>>761 Doubtful that is the reason, this festival happens after the Oscar, the big contenders aren't even listed, in fact SPC is also bringing its other music biopic flop, Miles Ahead. I'm also doubtful if by March 6th TH will be done in Vietnam.
>>765 that's crazy! Makes you wonder how much they pay the Thespians participating.
Speaking of TH schedule, a little reminder that tomorrow are the Evening Standard British Film Awards, for which he has a nomination as Best Actor (if memory serves).
Going by his PA's instagram, they were still in Oz this week, so if there's filming planned for Monday, I don't think he will fly all the way to London. On the other hand, they might take a week break before starting in Vietnam on the 18th, especially Brie since she has BAFTA next weekend.
>>767 not really, bu to be fair Miles Ahead received way better reviews than ISTL, the score at metacritic is on par with CP, around 66% while ISTL has a meagre 45%.
AMC Brazil TNM tv promo, by torrilla
Brief review of the first episode of TNM by a writer who attended a private screening: http://akbenedict.com/the-night-manager/
tl;dr: It's very good, faithful to leCarré's writing, well acted. There was a Q&A with Hugh, Olivia, director Susanne Bier and others.
>>771 Ooh good spot! I love it when people post these random links that you might otherwise never find. Review is very promising. I can't wait.
I don't remember if this was posted back in Oct. but in case it wasn't there's an interesting bit about Skull
by the way, my memory did not serve, the only nomination for HR at the Evening Standard Awards is as best film.
>>774 No, you didn't dream it. He was on the longlist: http://www.standard.co.uk/goingout/film/evening-standard-british-film-awards-the-full-list-of-nominees-a3142661.html
We haven't heard from Anon., anonsy or qaz for a while. Hope you guys are ok.
>>775 phew I'm not getting old after all.
so he didn't make it to the short list, ouchy
>>777 I feel for him, I really do. He picked three interesting and varied projects for 2014 and none of them quite came off. HR will presumably be eligible for BAFTA, Oscars etc this coming year though, due to the March release date.
>>778 It's surprising that he didn't, HR is in the shortlist as best film but not a single actor/actress is, strange.
I don't expect HR to make it to the Oscar, after what happened this year the Academy will stay away from a film about classism full of white British dudes.
Get your HD cameras/electron microscopes ready for relationship analysis.
>>780 You're back!
We should submit a question jointly!
>>782 Now we are sure he won't be at the awards tonight.
Has any other movie been promoted so much way before it ended?
>>780 Egads. We'll have to wait until March 21st for that one.
"Just seen a preview of the first 2 eps of #TheNightManager. Brilliantly filmed with great performances. It'll be a big hit for @BBCOne."
Booked to see one of the HR previews with q&a in London. Very excited!
>>787 11 March at the British Library. Ben Wheatley will be there as well as the producer and JG Ballard's daughter! Apparently the BL holds the Ballard archive, hence the screening there.
>>789 He still looks so spindly running into the sea! He really is a skinny ribs.
>>790 MTE. I wonder what it's like to have metabolism that's so fast you have trouble keeping weight (muscle too) on over even short periods of time. Then again, maybe he didn't have the resources to weightlift during filming given all the places he had to travel.
>>791 Torrilla has a pic of him with Roper's arm round him, taken from behind, and you can see his little skinny arms poking out of his t shirt. He has a little bicep on the front but no tricep at all. I never believed the story that he gained 20lb of muscle in 6 weeks to screen test for Thor. My personal trainer, who has a body like Chris Evans, doesn't gain that kind of muscle mass in a year, and he gains muscle mass easily.
>>789 The vimeo has since been made private. It was a nice trailer though, while viewing lasted.
>>792 I'm going to say that he did appear to gain something for the Thor audition. It happened during the break between the 1st and 2nd seasons of Wallander, and the change in his body between the two seasons was visibly obvious. You can't tell if it was as much as 20 lbs, but his shoulders and chest were broader, and his butt/thighs larger.
>>776 Here I am! :)
>>793 I'd say Coriolanus was the only time we've ever seen him really bulked up. Since he seems to be someone who has a hard time putting weight on, I've wondered what kind of fitness and diet regimen he must have been on for Coriolanus. He had to be eating a ton of protein and lifting for hours every day, or at least lifting really heavy.
>>793 Here's a youku video from torrilla of the trailer: http://cheers-mrhiddleston.tumblr.com/post/138934592469/the-full-night-manager-trailer-via-torrilla-on
>>793 >>794 I do actually have a small anecdote about the Thor audition. A friend of mine worked with someone who knew him. The someone was married to Emma H's best friend. The someone attended a BBQ shortly before the audition. TH spent the whole party showing everyone his new muscles and saying "have I got bigger? Have I got bigger?" Apparently the biceps rivalled a sparrow's kneecap in size....bless.
Tom has tweeted since it's his birthday. Only the HR trailer which we have seen before so I haven't linked to it.
I tell a lie! It is not at all the same trailer!! We see a lot more balcony scene!!!
TH with some extra for Kong from what she wrote (or better from what googletranslate says she wrote)
>>798 it sounds like they threw Tom a birthday party or had some sort of birthday celebration for him. And look! He wore something that's not falling apart or riddled with holes! Aw Tom busted out spiffy threads for his birthday party lol

>>816 is it shameful that I haven't even noticed that was a video at first?
For now, I don't see TH's face in these
>>822 I guess if he's not been nominated and he is on the other side of the world it's a long trip back. Has filming finished in Oz? Maybe he will come home to the UK if he has a few weeks off, but there are a lot of island paradises on the way from Australia to Vietnam, and I know what I'd do faced with the choice! Bali with EO! (Just kidding - but Bali alone would still be amazing).
>>823 I read Brie was in LA the other day, but she has an Oscar campaign to run so it's a bit different.
I agree that it's a long trip considering he has no nomination and filming in Vietnam starts on the 18th for actors, but he also has 3 products to promote and BAFTA is his turf, so if he was asked to present an award he might use the little break for that.
>>824 Maybe! Will a trip home be the cue for nw3anon to start blogging again and/or for some less regular visitors here to surface saying they have seen EO in Hampstead?!!!
Slightly off topic, but I did laugh when I recently came across this, on the topic of whether one should tweet one's celebrity sightings. The comedian Robert Webb's response to being tagged in the usual moronic "I just saw @[celebrity]" tweet was hilarious.
>>827 I wouldn't want to discourage any lurkers from joining in on a regular or occasional basis. I was one once! But I do raise my eyebrows a trifle when I see a post from someone new saying, "I am not really a fan, but on my way through Belsize Park I happened to spot a bloke I vaguely recognised as that Loki chap having sex with a small blonde in a phone box outside G&W. Didn't stop for a closer look because, y'know, I'm not kinky that way, but I did coincidentally find my way to this board to let you all know."
>>828 it's surprising the number of people that find their way to this board only when they have that kind of info to share.
>>825 Does anyone speculate on who she really is? (I don't know but someone claimed she was the best friend of the Blessed Ave J, or someone whose nickname starts with a b, ends with a p.
>>818 TNM - I'm so excited for this. Everything we've seen so far bodes well for a great series. I might even forgive them for substituting Devon for Cornwall!
>>830 It has also been said she was a relative of someone well known in the theatre world. Who knows. The whole thing is so fishy. My current area of north west London is quite village-y and full of slebs but you can go for years without seeing any of them even though they mostly seem quite normal and probably do their own shopping and walk out to get a coffee (eg Emma Thompson). To see one particular person every day you would need to be a genuine stalker, i.e. do what nw3 criticized all the fsngirls for - sit in G&W all day waiting for him to appear.
>>831 And we get to see it first! (unless everyone Stateside is using a proxy server)
>>824 BAFTA attendees so far - press release from today. No TH. It is looking a bit thin TBH. http://www.bafta.org/press/press-releases/attendees-confirmed-for-this-sundays-ee-british-academy-film-awards-0
>>834 They are even enough to cover all the awards! It says "to date" so I expect others to be added, otherwise who is even going to watch it?!
>>833 Can't wait. We're doing the long drive from Cornwall back to London that day, I've already warned my husband he needs to make sure we are back in time!
>>837 I've been busted by my husband. He is a Ballard fan and so has watched the trailer in advance of our trip to see a preview. I mentioned yesterday that I was keen to watch TNM and after a long pause he said "who is this Tom Hiddleston fellow?" I feel that my casual responses failed to convince!
>>838 Mine is fully aware of the 'other man' in our marriage. He finds it quite funny I think.
How did my response come up as Couch Potato? Sorry! Not very good at this
Just to clarify, 839 was me.
>>840 If you forget to put your name in the box you are named Couch Potato!
My husband located the Observer magazine interview and read it rather grumpily, pointing out that he has a double first in classics from Oxford ("a much better university than Cambridge") and is taller. His permitted celebrity crush is Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley who is so unlike me in every conceivable respect that I find it funny. The problem with my crush is that there are too many similarities!! Men are funny creatures.
>>842 Ahah! I understand now. Ish. My husband is v similar in build and exact height, his father and grandfather are classics grads from Cambridge. My OH is the first rebel in the family to go to another Uni :-)
It's funny how many of us on here are married, or about to be. Qaz is too, and Anon. is engaged. It's not the demographic I expected. A friend of mine went to the Nuffield q&a last year and said she was the only woman in her thirties more or less - all the rest were 20 year old emo/goth/geek girls - or grandmas! With one or two sad-looking spotty geek boys, each following a love object who was completely oblivious and thought the boy was just a cool really supportive friend who liked Marvel.
>>845 I guess I'm the outlier - I'm divorced. My ex husband also has a similar body as Tom, 3 inches shorter but the same build.

Jason Mitchell shared a video of Tom's birthday cake on Snapchat. Someone on tumblr posted it here: http://jaggermoon.tumblr.com/post/139176094949/this-video-was-on-jason-mitchells-snapchat-story
>>850 Torilla also has the video up on Weibo, along with a few new TNM trailer screengrabs.
Seems that week is going to be TIFF 2.0. Lots of THEO.
>>850 I'm just going to say that I also had buttons with my picture on them at one of my birthday parties...I was ten and my mother thought it would be a good idea. What's your excuse, TH?
I bet Olly thought they would be the perfect gift for his boss. Or they might use the extras as a diversion tactic: if they're being chased by fangirls, Olly will throw a load of TH buttons on the ground and when the girls stop to pick them up, TH and Olly will make their escape.
>>852 It'll be more of the same. My predictions for ISTL Premiere Week:
>>855 I'd like all three to walk the red carpet as a polyamorous trio. THAT would blow away the winter blues.
Failing a - as the French would say, House of Three - I'd like THEO to come out as a couple - just so I could read the tumblr/twitter/gossip mag taglines:
>>856 Someday he's gonna show up with some random woman and everyone is going to be so confused.
"I thought he was married to Susannah Fielding?"
>>857 You forgot secretly married to JA.
I'd also like to live in a world where TH and Luke use EO/JA as a surrogate.
>>858 HOW could I forget secret wife JA?! I must need another cup of coffee.
Now I'm not so sure Olly was responsible for the buttons....
Here's a firsthand account of Tom's birthday party:
>>861 I didn't even recognize him - until his smile in the last one.
>>862 I don't think it's him in those photos - if you open the picture and zoom in it looks like it's someone else, especially in the very first one.
>>855 one daring journalist asking The question on the red carpet where Luke can't intervene.
>>861 I suppose it's fair to say EO wasn't at the party or it would have been mentioned.
>>867 According to Instagram she was on vacation with a friend in California this weekend. Her friend posted a photo of her, so it's legit - not the usual "my friends grandfather's poker buddy saw the back of her head through a restaurant window and didn't take a picture" nonsense.
>>868 thanks! :) Do you have the instagram account?
>>868 never mind found it, instagram it's surprisingly easier to search than twitter.
>>868 by the way, not just this weekend, she was already at VentanaInn&Spa on the 9th
Jason Mitchell RT this
I'm guessing because he thought it was an accurate description?
JVR is playing it safe and being vague after the instagram post debacle a few weeks ago. He has adopted a 'chaotic neutral' stance when someone asks him about Tom. See this post: http://insanely-smart(.)tumblr(.)com/post/139046691643/hey-guys-look-beaglebitch
>>874 No, that's the Tumblr being idiots and trolls again. JVR never replied "chaotic neutral" to anyone. His bio on Twitter says Chaotic Neutral. Go check. I don't know who did that copy paste job in that image but you can clearly see the verified check mark next to JVR's name in the image which shows it's not a tweet but the bio header on Twitter.
>>876 gotcha! In any case, JVR certainly isn't evading any Tom related stuff if he's favoriting tweets about him then. Just Elizabeth Olsen related stuff :P
I'm still wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin' for those pics and videos of Tom singing and dancing! Even a pic of Tom eating his own cake figurine would work!
A couple of people unrelated to the fandom videoed the fireworks during the party. It appears it was a joint bday and Australia wrap party before they move on to VN in two weeks; THEO speculation has started up again since she's been spotted in Cali and the cast has a couple of weeks off. :/
>>878 I think they tend to be pre-recorded - current affairs would be live, by phone or in the studio. The interview with Nick Kershaw for R1 a few months ago was recorded IIRC.
My guess is he will be home in the UK. Whether alone or unaccompanied I wouldn't care to speculate....
accompanied - long day
>>872 Spending Valentine's Day weekend on vacation with one of your BFFs doesn't seem like something someone in a serious relationship would do - especially if your alleged boyfriend is throwing his 35th birthday party that same weekend and is also on a break from work. Just saying.
He is still in Oz
>>881 I took the "72 hours with this beauty" comment as in they went on a 3-day vacation together, from Feb 8 to Feb 10 judging from Jade's instagram. I don't think they're spending the weekend together (Jade's apparently staying at a friends' house now, following a possible split from Felton). Guess we'll see what happens now.
>>884 nonetheless, she wasn't in OZ for his bd party.
>>886 Why fly to Oz when Tom is about to be on a short filming break? If they spend the break (and her birthday) together or not will be telling though.
We should just start crossing things off the "if ______ happens, that will be telling" list:
If Tom attends EO's sister's wedding - didn't happen
If I had money, and time on my hands for a vacation, and a hot boyfriend who was a 14 hour plane ride away celebrating a significant birthday, I know what I would do. It would not involve hanging out with a female friend and posing for sappy photos on a beach while looking out to sea.
>>889 Actually, they did spend the last break together. They were seen in LA together in December (date brunch) and she was spotted in London on NYE.
>>891 Both of those were one-off sightings on Twitter with no proof.
As for the December brunch, Brie Larson did an interview where she mentioned having lunch with Tom in LA the day the guy on Twitter thought he saw him with EO, so that was likely mistaken identity.
The only source for the Brie Larson interview came from an anon on a tumblr blog full of THEO speculation and trolling. So the twitter sighting seems way more trustworthy imo.
There were zero sightings of Tom on NYE and NYD.
Besides, Brie is still dating Alex Greenwald. So I doubt that something that looked like a date could have been a case of mistaken identity.
>>893 and the only sources for your sightings are just as unreliable, actually even more so since they are completely illogical. So, going by what we have proof for, while you are entitled to your wrong opinion, it's still just an opinion.
>>896 Listen anon1, I have no interest in dragging this out, clearly you are set, clearly we disagree with you, clearly making a list of whys will get us nowhere. Let's agree to disagree.
They seem to be convenient hookups for each other rather than a serious couple. She seems a little more eager because of how she's always flying to wherever to meet him whereas he was only spotted with her during a layover. Not sure if they met up while he did the TCA in Pasadena but if they did, again it was while he was already in town for business. He doesn't seem to go out of his way to see her.
I had a little Google for an updated BAFTA list and there isn't one yet. Still what was posted on 11.02.
>>889 I like this list, anonsy, it's sensible and reasonable - and I just like lists.
But it assumes that they're in a serious relationship (weddings, major holidays) which (because of time and distance) doesn't seem to be the case. We've all see-sawed on this issue, but I think most of us agreed it is/was casual - for lack of other more specific qualifiers.
>>893 anon1 is right. As far as I know - there were no sightings - photographic or on social media - of TH on NYE or NYD. The only sighting was from that Saturday when he showed up alone at the Donmar.
In the end, it is all competing twitter sightings/anon tumblr submits. No video or interview has come out of Brie saying that she had lunch with TH on that day. Nor did the guy snap a pic of THEO at brunch. So it's a toss up of which story a person wants to believe.
>>887 I can see this sort of situation, if only because I've done it before.
We're engaged, but I spent Christmas with my family and the boy spent it with his. Since we were apart, we did Christmas when we were back together.
Now, on to more important matters: Valentine's Day plans?
My valentine actually has the evening off (unheard of for a resident - I didn't even ask how he wrangled it), so our plans involve salsa dancing, food and sex. Not necessarily in that order - and maybe not separate. ;)
>>900 We know from experience that TH's love life is like an iceberg. We see the odd peak above the water (Wimbledon, Bora Bora), and I have always assumed that there is another 90% below the surface, unseen by twitter etc. Even if TH didn't regard his relationship with JA as a long term meet the parents thing, Bora Bora wasn't their third date - he must have been seeing her more than sporadically for a while. It was just that nobody spotted them as it was probably all behind closed doors - he very evidently doesn't fancy the scrutiny that a BAFTA/Oliviers date would bring. All that LSA speculation failed to take into account that he is a very private person and quite adept at keeping his private life under the radar.
>>904 sounds fun - and very New York!
We went out for coffee and heart shaped Valentine challah (only in multicultural Hampstead!). I gave him a mug emblazoned with "Trophy Husband", which he was delighted with, and he presented me with hyacinths and tulips, which made me feel as though Spring is coming even though it is howling a gale outside. Our plans for this evenig include homemade steak and ale pie, cuddling on the sofa in front of the wood burning stove and sex.
>>905 From what I can tell from old posts, Twitter was the IG of the TH and JA relationship. People used twitter to make assumptions about whether they were together. When he unfollowed her, 'well, they're done.' When she liked TH related tweets, 'they're together' or 'they're over and she's desperate to win him back.' He tweeted this, so 'he must be alone' (what? okay.).
>>903 I get that and I've done it myself, but I am not sure EO's schedule or distance or what have you prevented her from being at his birthday. She isn't short of a bob or two, the flight from LA to Oz is a lot shorter than, say, the flight from London to Oz, and she isn't working. However she chose to spend that day vacationing with a friend. I do agree that there is something going on - I don't know why but something about him says "not single" - but it starts to feel even more casual than I thought it was before. Is he winding down to a bye bye Bora Bora trip? This petering out of a casual thing is also a TH repeat.
>>906 I LOVE challah! We're the furthest there is from Jewish, but it's the only bread we eat.
The food will be very un-New York: homemade meatloaf in the shape of a heart with a red ketchup/chili glaze - ah, the romance.
>>907 I recall the Twitter interpretation. It was all pretty thin, wasn't it? It wasn't even sightings from fans, by and large. And really almost no photos. As you say it was "he favourited x, therefore he feels/thinks/ is going out with y." I remember writing undergraduate essays about the inner thoughts of various poets which were much the same!
>>908 I'm imagining a conversation like:
TH: Nah, don't fly out, we'll celebrate when I fly into LA.
>>909 We're not either, but after 15 years living near some truly excellent Jewish bakeries, I'd push my grandma down a manhole to get the last braided challah in the shop on Sunday morning!
Bejjamin Disraeli was once made happy by his wife waiting up after a long Parliamentary debate to feed him steak pie that she herself had made. "My dear," he said, "you're far more like a mistress than a wife." This is one of my husband's favourite anecdotes, hence the pie.
Apparently di Caprio has arrived on the RC for the BAFTAs. I assume that someone tells them all when to arrive, in order of importance, so I guess they are close to all having arrived now. Whoever is in charge of BAFTA's Twitter and IG accounts should be taken away for retraining, possibly having been shown this board. Either that or it really is a star-free (and hence a virtually tweet-free) zone tonight.
Luke arrives in Berlin with a familiar looking guitar case. http://ancientfinnishgoddess.tumblr.com/post/139316174860/godsaveloki-frenchfrostpudding
>>914 There's a screening of TNM in Berlin later this week, right? If Tom is going to be in Berlin and Luke brought him his guitar, then probably the BBC radio interview is prerecorded - otherwise Tom could have just picked up his own guitar in London. Though the radio interview could still be live via phone or satellite, of course.
>>914 Colin Firth in the foreground - Luke handles his PR too. Colin is there for the film 'Genius.'
Intel from the internet: Colin is into guitars, so the one Luke's holding could be Colin's, not TH's. (See http://www(.)belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/film-tv/news/firth-confesses-to-guitar-fetish-29889275.html)
>>916 Ahh I love Colin Firth! I only glanced at the post for a second so I didn't realize it was him, I'm so ashamed of myself!
>>916 Luke represents Colin? I never cease to be amazed at his success as publicist given that he seems to be so bad at it (viz apparent inability to control or really have any input into the TH relationship publicity car crash).
>>918 You know, it's just occurred to me that maybe everything would have been much, much worse without Luke. We have no way of knowing what he's stopped from getting into the press. For all we know there's a sex tape and photos of THEO cheating on Boyd, but Luke managed to get it down to a handful of tabloid articles and a couple Instagram sightings.
And before Cabbage Anon/Lex shows up to murder me, I'm just making a point, I don't actually think Tom made a sex tape with EO. Maybe with JA. ;)
>>919 I'd have paid good money to watch a TH sex tape! This confirms my view that Luke is no good ;-)
anyone else catching Tom (bless) accidentally "liking" random fan tweets about himself that he then unlikes? He's done it a few times and even if it is just a matter of accidentally clicking on the wrong icon, it does show that he (or "Team Tom") are monitoring what he's being tweeted about ..
>>922 I only know of the most recent Deadpool tweet that he liked but now doesn't seem to be on his account - that I can see on my phone display.
OT: I know because the tweeter was semi-bombarded with fan tweets telling her/him that TH himself (!) had liked one of her/his tweets. The tweeter then crowed about it slightly in two tweets - he's only liked ten tweets and one of them is mine sort of stuff. That crow must have been killed and now is beng consumed after the 'unlike.'
>>918 Apparently/maybe he does? It's hidden to non-subscribers on his IMDBpro acct. When he first started his firm I think he created a talent gallery like his former place, but now the website is only a front page with a link to email and social media. The Instagram link has the client gallery now, but Colin is absent so perhaps he's a recent acquisition. There's an FB page, that points to Luke's LinkedIn which is public (no need for an acct: https://uk(.)inkedin.com/in/luke-windsor-8974479a). The interesting thing about the LinkedIn is the 'People Also Looked At" column on the right, where you can see who all the thirsty fans searched for. Finally, it looks like Luke is hiring.
>>924 Hee hee re thirsty fan searches!
BTW for anything but Twitter links you should be able to ditch the brackets and post the full link. I've never posted LinkedIn but you certainly can for tumblr and websites generally.
>>924 God I am a third degree connection, BTW. England is such a small place!
According to Twitter TH will be on R2 at 4.15. There is a new (to me) pic of him at the BBC studios on Twitter as well, which I don't think was taken on a previous occasion, so he may have come back to the UK to record/appear live: https://mobile.twitter(.)com/HughLaurious/status/699613024718557185
>>927 I listened in. Don't worry if you didn't as it was about 5 minutes and it was pretty unilluminating.
Half of it was about ISTL (Steve Wright was basically saying, last time you were here it was about ISTL, er, any sign of a release date?)(answer: there is a US release date and TH "hopes" it will be released soon after in the UK. No specific date given though).
>>928 A Brit once said to me that listening to Radio 2 - and enjoying it - was a sign of impending death. I don't know if it's that bad, but....
I'll agree about the new pic - that seems to be his 'Oz hair.' Maybe he has returned to the UK to top up his accent! I know that I sounded nearly-British after living in the UK for about three months (my mother played me a phone message I'd left and I hardly recognized myself!). So, it's not surprising that after hanging around Americans for the past 5ish months, that his accent might have altered slightly. Also, I wonder what accent he needs for Kong - American, I'd presume, so that's another layer.
I don't think the ISTL mention was just some easy banter. It sounded like a proper little mention/pre-push.
Also, he did say he'd 'be back for Hank,' so it sounds like SPC is going to give ISTL a decent push in the States and UK...if Radio 2 counts as 'a push.'
>>930 I agree TH wanted to mention ISTL. I just thought it was funny that SW seemed to know it smoked already have been released and was a second time around publicity.
>>929 there comes a day when all the music you listened to and the DJs you liked are on radio 2. From then, in the words of SATC, it's just a sleigh ride into menopause.
should have been
On a side note, I am hugely impressed with the efficient publicity machine that is the BBC. When I compare how poor the publicity was for, say, CP (killing the movie with all those spoilery bottom-filled trailers and not knowing if it was a horror movie or a gothic romance or what it was), I am impressed with what the Beeb does on a comparatively tiny budget. The last few weeks have been a masterpiece of teasing and high quality production stills of our boy with a hot tan.
>>931 In the words of Jez from Peep Show: It’s the journey of life. Radio 1, Radio 2, Classic FM, Heart, Magic, dead.
>>934 If you can quote from Peep Show I demand that you return to these shores forthwith!
>>936 Bromance not available in my region apparently. Pah.
>>936 Nice exchange. That's gonna get all the girls in a tizzy.
>>938 What? What sort of special relationship is this? Come on AMC.
Did it say as much, or will it just not play? I'm on a mac and since it didn't want to work in Safari, I opened it in Chrome which worked a treat.
"Tom Hiddleston and Michelle Dockery in the same uni screening today. Chuffed to bits, me."
>>941 I saw this and really couldn't make heads or tales. Either they were there - which seems unlikely. Or the screening was of Cranford (their only collaboration).
I couldn't tell.
>>943 I thought the same thing, more likely they both appeared in something than actually being there.
Another exclusive clip - I think we've not seen this before.
>>945 Sexy spy with a heart of gold. Piercingly blue eyes. Yum.
Torrilla has posted a Twitter pic of TH on a plane, taken by an air stewardess. She works for Ethiad. Pic was posed by her on Twitter 3h ago. Ideas as to where he is off to, anyone? Not the US, I am guessing. And not Berlin.
>>947 Did a quick check of the airline and they fly into all Vietnam's major airports. They also fly out of Brisbane and Gold Coast airports, so I'm putting my money on leaving Oz, heading to Vietnam.
>>940 It said not available in my region. I found it on Twitter, I think. Pine is smoking and Roper praises him for not chucking the fag when he came out. Is that the one?
>>949 That's the one. If it makes anyone feel better I'm in the United States and couldn't get the video to play on my computer. I ended up looking for an alternative upload on tumblr.
>>948 Yes, except Anon. and I think he was in the UK yesterday for the radio interview (see pic of him in the studio - I don't think this was taken on an earlier visit to BBC radio).
Could he be en route to Vietnam from the UK? When I flew this route a few years ago options were fairly limited: Thai Airways and change at Bangkok or Vietnam Airways direct. Thai is ok but nowhere near as nice as Ethiad and Vietnam Airways has that Aeroflot fall out the the sky feel. If you can now fly Ethiad and change in Dubai it is probably a lot nicer.
>>947 The original tweet of the pic is gone now. Good thing Torrilla is so quick.
>>951 Looked again, flights from London to any of the Vietnam airports transfer in either Dubai or Bangkok. His hair looks to be the same length in the plane photo and the BBC Radio photo so Anon with dot and Anon without dot are probably right. :)
>>952 Why do people do this? They post hoping for likes and retweets and when they get them they delete. I saw it 10 mins ago and apart from one person asking if he was flying to Dubai it was all totally innocuous. Even the Dubai question was innocuous.
>>953 It will be either Hanoi (for Halong Bay filming) or Danang (for the cave). I am jealous! Vietnam is very beautiful. I wonder if he will get a chance to explore before filming starts.
>>954 I don't know, I've wondered about that myself. Maybe they think they want the attention until it actually happens? In this particular case maybe she found out about some company policy that doesn't allow tweeting on the job, or tweeting about celebrities?
>>954 Now she's responded to a tweet about him, so disregard previous theories. I have absolutely no idea.
>>956 I don't tweet that stuff either. I feel a bit guilty for finding other people's tweets about TH interesting as I really don't think celebs sign up for being stalked across London on Twitter, with the world and its dog knowing where you are at any given moment.
>>955 Between SI and TNM filming this past year, Tom has done quite a lot of globetrotting - I'm jealous as well. A number of the locations he's been are on my bucket list. Maybe I should see about getting Olly's job.
>>959 Yes, that's a good gig. No work seemingly and a lot of globetrotting and getting to admire TH in his pants as he wanders around your jointly rented bachelor pad!
A pic of the original birthday cake. Possibly a clue as to TH's costume?
Sweat, flush, chest hair, bird song...you're welcome.
>>962 Or in Morocco? Hair looks a bit short for Oz.
Not that I really care where it was filmed. This particular look makes me want to do bad things to him. Even worse things than the open shirted whoopsie incest handjob scene in CP.
I just noticed Hugh's interview...sorry Hugh - blame your co-stars 38 chest hairs! So, maybe Mallorca.
>>962 His poor skin. I hope he doesn't end up with the same issues Hugh Jackman is having with skin cancer on his nose.
So apparently there is a scene in TNM where that motherducker shaves. There's lather and wet hands and...lather...and shirtlessness...and hands that are wet.
Here's the Oz trailer that gives a peek at the shaving scene.
>>968 Sadly this must happen very rarely IRL. Since he is never seen without a few days of stubble one is presented with the rather less sexy prospect of him grooming his bead with a set of clippers. I am not a great fan of the bumfluff so more shaving say I!
I am told by tumblr that the boy will be in Berlin for the premiere of TNM. Will keep an eye out. In the ongoing game of Where's Wally, this makes me ask: was he actually photographed in and recorded in a BBC radio studio down under, and was he depicted flying from Australia to Europe on Etihad?
>>971 PS I can't see any confirmation online from official sources he will be there. Can anyone else?
This is what I have for you. Olly is on the way (to Vietnam we assume) today, with his fellow PA. Tom was flying (arrived? If pic was tweeted after the flight ended) yesterday. A German TV network says it is interviewing him today. Useful compendious tumblr post: http://wthanon4u.tumblr.com/post/139536835985/awesome-hiddleston-zhora-salome
>>973 I think TH was never in London for the BBC radio, the hair in that radio photo was much darker that it is now and if he were in London he would have used British Airway to fly to Berlin, not Ethiad - not that it is such a big deal.
Red carpet lite! Black tie arms to have gone right out recently even for premieres.
>>971 I feel like anything is possible re: his traveling. We all ask questions: 'Who would do that? That makes no sense?' But I think being on a plane is now just like background noise to him. Olly or Luke books the flights and he just climbs aboard.
>>974 I find it so hard to tell with him. I feel like his hair looks one way one day and then can look totally different the next.
Clothes are always the same. Hair is never the same.
>>980 I agree - and I have seen pics where the light on a RC makes a blues suit look black and his hair look a totally different colour from a pic taken at the same event.
>>980 I am beginning to agree with you about the straightened hair. I don't think it helps the condition.
The red carpet pics of the 3 leads are great. I especially love that - for perhaps the first time EVAH - TH is the short-ass amongst the leads (HL and ED)!
>>979 I agree he must travel an insane amount by plane. My objection to globetrotter!tom is that it is used by the crazies to justify every incosistent Twitter sighting and possible scenario. I get the impression he is like the Duracell bunny - totally on or totally off, hibernating at home.
>>983 Do you think he crept into Liz'a room and stole her high heels? She is the same height so she must be in flats.
'Looking lean and buff, with a golden tan and impeccably tousled hair, Hiddleston is presented in maximum eye-candy mode here. He has several steamy sex scenes in the first two episodes, with strong indications of more to come...'
There's something comical about this pic.
He looks GORGEOUS! Also how good do him and Elizabeth Debicki look together? She's taller than him but they still look good!
He's going to land the 007 role if The Night Manager gets fantastic ratings. If they want to stick with a blond Bond, then Tom is their man.
Apparently the Q&A for TNM featured a lot of TH questions that weren't at all related to TNM. Cringe.
Maybe this tweeter is just a delicate snowflake...but knowing Hiddlestoners.
>>992 I do wonder given that the tweeter's avatar is a pice of Warhol-style Cumberbath fan art. One thing the nutty fans love to do is to criticise other fans for - well, anything really. Showing Disrespect to his Art is a big trope. They wouldn't like it here, where serious critiques of Ballard and chats about Thucidydes rub shoulders with links to willy bulge pics!
>>993 A few Hugh Laurie fans posted the same complaints. Shrugs shoulders. As long as no one asked him for a hug, it probably goes down as a win. Besides, I'm sure it's a level of cringe TH's dealt with before.
It's really the moderator who should shut down the 'What was your motivation for Loki?' and 'Who is your favorite Eliz(s)abeth?" questions. But if the moderator doesn't do his/her job, TH should step up, even in his usually charming way.
TH checking his fly/flies (Olly's not there so he has to do it himself) and Luke 'holding' TH's glasses by wearing them on his person.
Just a usual night in Berlin.
'Hiddleston arrived in Berlin from Australia, where he has been filming Kong: Skull Island with best actress Oscar hopeful Brie Larson.' And now we know!
There was another cringeworthy fan moment at the TNM Q&A session. Someone posted an account of it here: http://teatime-with-sabrina-and-violet.tumblr.com/post/139571223141/the-clip-that-is-only-part-of-it-she-started-of.
There's a 13 min video of the session which I haven't watched.
>>996 'He then heads to Vietnam to continue shooting the Kong film, and there’s much speculation about him returning to the role of bad boy Loki in Thor 3.
‘Might do,’ was all he would tell me about the Marvel film.'
the little clip of the Q&A
This user was that the Q&A she says this of the 2 episodes
The Independent review
